The stay was comfortable, however, these 2 points need to be made: 1. we specifically requested a nice hotel with a family-sized pool; we were less than impressed that the pool allowed only 10 people MAX. This was disappointing and misleading. 2. We had asked for adjoining rooms at the time of booking; we were surprised that our rooms could not be accommodated […] that way; instead, they were 1 floor apart. Had we been advised about these variances at the time of booking, we would have been prepared in terms of our expectations and actual outcomes. Read more

This is an excellent hotel if you have a car. It is a 10 minute drive from downtown Quebec City. The breakfast was awful (bread and spreads). However everything else about the hotel was excellent.

We booked this hotel through Expedia without even seeing the room prior to our visit. When we reached there they had reserved one room for us without micro wave oven, no mini refrigerator and unfinished back wall. But the hotel amenities should include all of them. I asked about unfinished back wall in the reception. He told that the design is like […] that. I believed first. However my wife asked for change room with microwave oven, mini refrigerator. After looking into several options, he gave us another room with all amenities. When we entered the room, the back wall was finished and smelled good. I don't know why they said the design is like that for the first room provided to us. I was shocked and praised my wife about room change. Overall the room was fantastic after room change and over all satisfied. I want to make sure that everyone get equal facilities. Read more

The hotel is across the street form a huge mall but Quebec laws allow it to remain open only late on Thurs and Friday and close at 6pm the rest of the weeek Free hotel pakring and to go to the city we set our gps to "Dalhousie" street and in 10 minutes we were parking at a metered spot on the street for 2.00 per hour. Room was comfortable but a bit dark. I'd expected this so it was not a negative factor. Simply replacing the bedside lights with "daylight" colored bulbs one wattage rating higher would probably cure this issue for many people. Front desk staff were very courteous and friendly.

The worst lighting of any hotel room I've ever stayed at. It was SO dark! And one of the walls was bare concrete, which didn't make for a cozy atmosphere. Having said that, the lobby is attractive and ends up being a good place to get work done. The reason this hotel is a 4 star has more to do with the fact that it has a pool than that the experience […] it offers is of high quality. The location, although outside of the center, is good with easy access to the highway, and it has a mall next door if you need to do some last minute shopping (which we did since it was unexpectedly FREEZING in Quebec City during the two days we were there and we needed to buy some sweaters. The hotel was a good choice, with a good price, nicely decorated, staff very friendly, you can even buy wine at the front desk and take your bottle up to the rooms. The Hotel is a bit away from "the happenings" but only about 15 min, so if you have a car, the nice place, the nice smell, the environment in the hotel, is worth the distance.

We found the hotel to be ideal for a relaxing three day trip to Quebec. It is a bit far from the old city but the local tour company one day picked us up at the hotel. There was a nice restaurant half mile away and the breakfast in the hotel that was complimentary had a nice selection.

We were surprisingly pleased with this hotel. Great location (right next to the mall) close to restaurants and Interstate. Was 5 star stay at a 3 star price. Would highly recommend this hotel to any visitors. Breakfast, free wifi, indoor pool. Just a 15 short drive to Old Quebec.

We chose the hotel based on proximity to Quebec city, free parking, and free breakfast. - It is a short drive into the city, but there is unfortunately no convenient public transportation. It would be awesome if the hotel offered a shuttle into old Quebec, but it does not. We had a car, this was not a huge deal for us. - The surrounding area is very […] boring, just commercial malls. The mall across the street is gigantic, and has an amusement park for children in there and an ice rink. We are not into shopping, so the mall did not add to our experience. Others may like it. - The decor in the hotel is modern and sleek, a grey and red color scheme. I found it to be on the cold side, but hey, it is a matter of taste. - We requested a fridge in the room, and got one and even a microwave. That was great!!! (No coffee machine, though). - Now to the breakfast. The only good thing about it is that it is free. Other than that, it was a disaster. On weekends, the breakfast area was packed (a madhouse). On weekdays it was fine. The items are cheap and carelessly offered. E.g. there is fresh fruit, but cut up into huge chunks including its peel and just thrown into bowls like that. On some days, this included pineapples and cantaloupes, on other just oranges. The re-filling of items was slow. So you may or may not get any hard-boiled eggs (the only egg choice) or yoghurt (just one flavor per day). The worst part was the breads! They are just putting out supermarket breads in bags, (and bagels, which are a bit better), but DON'T MONITOR THEIR FRESHNESS! A fellow guest found a bread loaf in a bag covered in green mold entirely. I am not exaggerating! I saw it with my own eyes. I found and English muffin with a green patch on it, too. ( I am willing to forget about the latter... it can happen with pre-packaged stuff). But the bread is a different story. Overall, lots of mixed feelings. Read more

although we wanted to stay in the old city, we were swayed by better prices, free parking and free breakfast. we had a car so the short drive to the old city was inconsequential. the hotel was great although the room smelled a wee bit of mildew. the staff was impressive.

This hotel was very good and comfortable for my family. The Bath was big especially the tub. The hotel I believe is brand new. the staff were very courteous and helpful. If I have to stay in Quebec I would choose the same hotel again. There is a walmart near by with McDonald's in it and there was also a Japanese and Thai restaurants. This is a new hotel, clean, pleasant atmosphere, in close proximity to a shopping mall. Only 15 min. away (by car) from The Old Quebec, 30 min. away from hiking trails and 30 min. away from the airport. I would definately book it again.

For a typical, mall-and-highway style hotel, this was a fine choice. Near downtown and the mall (where there is an indoor skating rinks and amusement park), it was good for a family with kids where an Old City location might not be necessary or might even not be desirable. The hotel is decorated and designed to be more interesting than a traditional […] chain hotel, and while the decor is sometimes almost kitchy (the lights outside the rooms have pictures of Times Square on them, for example), generally it is a lot better than drop ceilings and drywall. Staff was courteous and the pool was nice. Breakfast was good, and the food choices nearby were a little above stripmall food. I would stay there again if going to Quebec with kids. It's a great and beautiful place for the price. We appreciate that breakfast was included but they didn't have enought place to accomodate all the costumers. They should plan more tables an chairs. We always try to find a place with pool and they have but very small and badly ventilated. There is strong chlorure odor.

The interior design of the hotel is unique and contemporary. Unfortunately, the complementary breakfast was not very good. The layout was disorganized. Pros: The hotel was located near a shopping mall, which had a roller coaster and an ice skating rink inside. Beds were very comfortable. There was a new TV in the room.The water in the pool was warm. They didn't have a crib for me, but they offer me a small bed instead. At the time of check out I was informed I had to pay extra for using that bed, even thought it was their solution and they didn't inform me I had to pay for it. The hotel was kind of isolated. We are not coming back to this hotel.
