Very clean nice big room great hotel!!

The room was great with the exception of a couple of things. The TV quit working. The sound worked but the picture didn't. I called the desk on my cell phone for instructions on how to make it work because the telephone did not work. It needed a battery. Even after I followed instructions to reset the TV, it quit working several more times. There was […] a large stain on the carpet right in front of the bed. The minifridge made gurgling noises all night..kind of annoying..The bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean, ac worked great and internet was fast. Overall I had a good stay but I was a little dissappointed in the issues I encountered. I splurged a little to stay in a nicer hotel. Relatively new property. Just stayed one night on way back to Dallas. Clean and comfortable. Not too far from various places to eat. A little difficult to drive to depending on which way you exit the highway, but that would be only complaint. Staff was friendly and helpful with questons.

Rooms were very comfortable. Hotel was very attractive, clean and cozy. Outdoor pool was small but very nice and perfect for my pool aerobics. While not right off the freeway in Abilene, the hotel is easy to get to. I will certainly stay there again.

Very friendly staff. Only stayed one night but if circumstances called for, would have stayed there several nights without hesitation. Very clean and orderly. Breakfast could have been better, but I'm picky.

We were very please with the hotel. The room was very clean, attractive, and comfortable. We had little interaction with the hotel staff because the room was already paid for. We would have like the coffee to be ready by 6:00. We did not eat at the hotel. It did seem like most guests were satisfied with the quality of this hotel.

This was one of the loudest rooms I have ever stayed in. I could hear the people walking around in the room above me, children running and screaming on one side of me, and men in general conversion on the other side of me. In addition, I could also hear people at the ice machine...and I was the second from the furthest away from it (Room 221). I drove […] to Abilene from Houston for a funeral so the noise was beyond unsettling. And at that price point...in ABILENE...I would have thought I wouldn't have had to put up with such poor sound proofing/ construction. Very nice experience. The hotel was extremely reasonable in price through Expedia. Somewhat difficult to find off of the road as it was amongst several larger hotels. The only problem I had was with my TV. It kept shutting down. They offered another room but it was too much trouble to move all my belongings, computer, office supplies etc. The manager offered everything but another TV. I don't believe I was the first person to have trouble with that TV.I'M sure they were aware of it.

I found this hotel to be just satisfactory. I booked this hotel because I wanted an average hotel that included breakfast and didn't charge for internet or parking. The hotel room was very clean but the refrigerator did not work (which was a problem for us). The Wingate was maintained so well we thought it was brand new, and it was 3years old. The housekeeping service was fine, the breakfast selection, presentation and seating area was better than most, and the front desk staff was helpful.

The hotel was very clean, very nice, very comfortable. The continental breakfast was more than continental. They also had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and waffles. There were just a few minor issues. The night concierge was very friendly and very attentive. Also, the inside lock in the room did not work and the fan in the bathroom made a funny noise. I always seem to stay at the wyndam Wingate hotels. The price is always right. Clean Rooms & bathrooms. Great hot breakfast. Abilene's Wingate only had 3 flaws this time. 1 the alarm clock didn't work went to desk, asked to have replaced. Desk guy said in the morning....HUh??? Bahaha was he kidding. I asked for a wake up call. They never replaced it. […] Thank god for Cell Phone Alarms. 2. Usually their pillows are great these sucked, and my neck was killing me the whole stay. 3. Outside light on ground floor under my window, lite the room up all night. Felt like I was sleeping next to the road crew Lights they have at night to work on the road! Other wise everything else was great. Am I being to picky?? I will be back in Abilene in 30 days, I will get a 2nd or 3rd story Room. Read more

This is better than most two star hotels such as the Hampton Inn but priced about the same. This particular location looks brand new on the inside and has a good breakfast. The rooms are very nice and modern looking. The only limitation is the rooms and bathrooms are a bit smaller but still has a nicer feel to it. I would stay here again.
