They have a nice Spa in the basement. The Synagogue next door was very convenient and it had free breakfast after morning prayers. The Underground station was very convenient to the hotel. The hotel is centrally located.

Certainly a hotel that is trying to be five star. Service staff, food, room service and room appointments are great. The room size is a bit small, particularly for two people with reasonable. For one person with light luggage no problem. With that said about room size, the hotel spa would be a great perk for an accompanying wife.

Excellent location for shopping. Centrally located. Walking distance to some of the London sights. A short taxis ride from Paddington and the Heathrow express. Room was on the smaller size, but very clean and very well appointed. Good exercise area / spa. I am frequently in London and this hotel will now be my first choice.

The hotel is very conveniently located both for traveling on foot and subway. It is very easy to reach Marylebone and Mayfair; also to Knightsbridge, Soho and soforth by just walking. This hotel is indeed gorgeous, and so are the rooms. I was really pleased with the modern style, and the spa/pool area was really nice too complete with steam room and sauna. (A little on the small side, but it is London after all.) Also, we received a fruit basket with turn-down service, complete with two chocolate truffles which is always a plus in […] my book. What's unfortunate is the staff, especially at reception where they border on rude, and I felt I was walking on eggshells trying to get someone to help me and be mildly pleasant about it. The best part was when they didn't give me a wakeup call on the morning of my departure, and when I had the nerve to be upset, they all started glaring at me, with one guy even insisting he had made the call but no one answered. The concierge saved the day, however, and got a car service to take me to the airport asap and had the hotel pay the bill. Honestly, I made my flight thanks to his effort and graciousness, so it evens out the reception staff. Final Note: I would stay here again, even with the rude reception, because the decor is completely my taste, and I do love Mayfair even though this hotel is slightly off to the side. Read more

The reception staff were very unhelpful when they were not able to provide the twin room we had reserved. My adult daughters had to share a double with a camp bed. The hotel offered no compensation for this at all. Cocktail bar was empty and souless at 7.30pm on a saturday night,(despite being told the hotel was full) although the waiter was pleasant. […] Was never able to get a concierge to answer the phone, as they were never at their desk. Last week I booked a double room for one night with this hotel. However, when I arrived I was DOWNGRADED to a single room due to a booking error (not sure whether it was a hotel fault or Expedia). The single room was a size of a shoe box with an extremely uncomfortable very small bed. in addition , the TV remote control was missing. In order to compensate […] me for this downgrade I was given a voucher for a drink at the hotel's bar, which i did not have a chance to use and was giving a free breakfast that had such a limited choice I could not believe. Overall, in my view, the compensation was not adequate at all. The hotel has not proposed any another remedies for all this inconvenience. Will never use this hotel in the future. Read more

The hotel overbooked themselves and tried to tell me that i no longer had a room, even though i had booked months in advanced and had already paid. いつもロンドンの滞在で利用しますが、以前は日航ホテルとの関係もあり、日本人のスタッフもかなりいらっしゃいましたが、今はもうほとんどおられないようで、日本語が通じることを期待して、宿泊されると少し厳しいかもしれません。ホテル自体は数年前の改装以来きれいになりましたが、そろそろくたびれたところも見え始め、少し手直ししてほしいところも増えだしてきました。とにかくロケーションは最高ですし、日本人スタッフはいなくなりましたが、スタッフもフレンドリーで、とにかくアットホームなホテルなので、ロンドンの中心でゆっくりすごしたい方にはおすすめです。

Dette hotel skulle efter beskrivelsen være 5-stjernet. Jeg har boet på mange 5-stjernet hoteller verden over, herunder London, og dette levede bestemt IKKE op til denne kategori. Jeg havede booket en senior suite. Den lå i kælderen - hvor jeg gennem vinduet kiggede ud i en væg! Der kom næsten intet dagslys ind, og man kunne ikke åbne vinduet, da det […] var fuget fast. Aircon virkede ikke. Der var enten hedende varmt eller dybfryser koldt. Personalet var lettere dovent. De fetchede ikke taxa, selvom vi stod med al bagagen. Der var ikke strygejern på værelset. Og ingen udsugning på badeværelset, hvorfor værelset blev meget dampfyldt efter bad - da man jo heller ikke kunne åbne vinduet. Generelt var dette værelse meget småt til 2 personer! Read more

Kona og jeg og et annet par hadde bestilt rom på The Montcalm for en fire dagers ferie i London. Vi bestilte gjennom forskjellige reisebyrå, og mens det andre paret sjekket inn og valgte avis, pute osv fikk jeg beskjed om at vi hadde fått et rom "over the street in our extension building". Dette viste seg å være et annet hotell (The Marble Arch by Montcalm) […] som er billigere enn hotellet som vi hadde bestilt og som har en mye dårligere ratingscore på hotels.com. Selvfølgelig var jeg ikke fornøyd med dette, men fikk beskjed om at hotellet var fullbooket og at det var lite som kunne gjøres. Etter en meget ubehagelig stund sa The Montcalm at de likevel hadde et rom til oss på hotellet; dette viste seg å være under bakkenivå med dårlig luft og et vindu som var malt igjen. En ny runde med klaging gjorde at vi ble oppgradert til et Club rom fra vår andre natt. Jeg vet ikke om tilbud om rom i annekset er noe som The Montcalm prøver med jevnt mellomrom, eller om denne "sørvisen" er reservert for hotels.com sine kunder; ubehagelig var det uansett. Read more
