The entry way smelled of vomit and human refuse. There is no shower stall so taking a shower stall. The shower is open to the bathroom. This made it inconvenient and uncomfortable to shower.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The location was convenient to the train station and located on a main street with lots of shops and restaurants. The best part about this hotel is the husband and wife owners, who are very nice, and the price of the rooms, which is very reasonable. The cleaning staff does a good job. Don't expect the lap of luxury but you will be greeted warmly and have a safe clean place to sleep

When we booked this hotel, it said there was wifi, a safe in the room and a fridge. NO, no and no! There was NO wifi. There was NO safe. And there was a fridge, but because the electricity was turned off when you left the room, the fridge turned off too so there was no way to keep anything fresh. Breakfast was good though.

This hotel was a disaster. It's difficult to find and the "parking" that they have isn't actually very close to the hotel. After finally getting parked, getting buzzed in and our room key, we walked in to find a room that looked nothing like the pictures on hotels.com website. The room was definitely outdated and small. Location was good - 5 minute walk to the train station, 1.5 blocks to the San Larenzo market, 7-10 minute walk to both the David and Duomo. The hotel is in a perfect location. But I would not recommend the rest. The shower door fell off when we opened the door. The beds were very uncomfortable. Stiff as a board and so uncomfortable. It wasnt a firm bed just mattresses that were old and needed to be replaced. The cleaning staff swept everything under the beds. All the hair and other stuff […] was under the bed that moves. They started cleaning very early around 8:30am and we heard talking for about 30 minutes and looked out and it was them talking and sitting in the halls. The hotel was rated 3 star, however I would describe as more of a back packers lodge rather than a hotel. The room was big enough for 2 people however the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, the air-conditioning was working however of a poor strength. Very helpful staff who speak good english. Very clean room - we had an entirely new bathroom with a strange built-in hairdryer. Extra pillows, safe, great big wardrobe with normal hangers ... Lots of TV channels, no CNN / intl. news though. There's a real knack to their breakfast - it's pretty cramped & stuff isn't located conveniently (spoons nowhere […] near yoghurt, knives nowhere near bread). They have the obligatory boiling/spitting coffee machine ... Tip - get the table as far as possible away from the buffet. There was a cord hanging from the ceiling in our shower, looking exactly like an electric shower switch - turns out it's an alarm ... don't pull the cord if you don't want a call while you're showering! Seemingly strange to have the reception on 3rd floor, but when you see the markers round town showing the level the last flood reached, it's no surprise. Very tiny, cute lift. On the short walk from Firenze main raiway stn. to Kursaal Ausonia, Via Nazionale has an interesting mix of restaurants, 99-cent shops, old-fashioned 'boutiques' & a micro-brewery (Mostodolce).
