Rennsteighotel Kammweg Thuringian Forest

A short guide to Thuringian Forest

At 120 kilometres long and 35 kilometres wide, this hilly forest is popular year round. The Rennsteig hiking path (a skiing path in winter) follows the summits along the main central ridge, the highest peak being the Grosser Beerberg. Winter sports centres like Oberhof have facilities for downhill skiing but Nordic skiing is much more popular. Burgk Castle in the south-east corner of the forest is one of Germany's most beautiful castles.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal in diesem Hotel und auch sehr zufrieden. Es liegt sehr günstig und man kann viele Wanderungen unternehmen und auch mit dem Auto viele Ausgangspunkte erreichen. Dasw Hotel ist sehr ruhig, das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir würden dieses Hotel auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.
