Room was clean. Handicap accessible bathroom needed some repair and I don't consider a bath tub accessible. Comfortable bed. No wifi was definitely a drag!

My first time every staying at Savannah Suites and I loved it! Very clean, neat, and comfortable hotel. The price was right. Actually, mind blowing because I got more then I bargained for. The Service was warm and welcoming and all my questions were answered fashionable. I'd recommend Savannah Suites to family and friends.

The staff of the hotel was very nice and helpful. The room/ hotel was pretty old and could use some renovation. Strong air-freshener smell that was not particularly pleasant. Could hear everything through the walls. Overall, pretty good for the price.

Walls are paper thin. I could hear conversation of neighbors as if they were in my room. Unfortunately they were loud until about 4:15 am. I needed to rise early so having them keep me up was unappreciated.

Front staff very nice. Paper thin walls allow you to hear every sound. As you walk down the hall you hear EVERYTHING--- talking, arguing, even intimate sounds. I found that very uncomfortable. I like a little more privacy for myself and everyone else.

This is an old hotel but the rooms have all been well maintained. The bed was good; the room was very clean. The kitchen was complete, including stove and cooking utensils. Because of the full kitchen, however, the hotel was being used to house families displaced by a recent flood. This made for an unusual atmosphere, to say the least. The hotel wasn't too bad but not what we are use to. We stayed for one night and wanted to be near CNU for a surprise visit with son and meet some friends in VA Beach. We had to change rooms since our first room had human hair in the bed (on pillow and sheet). It kind of creeped us out. This was a very functional room for what I needed but do not stay here if you are looking for any amenities - no breakfast; no internet; no one at the desk at night. The Savannah Suites was a nice hotel for its price. It was exactly what I was looking for. I was only there for one night and just used it as a place to crash, but everything was very accomodating. The room size was great and the room was kept in great shape. I would definitely use this hotel again.

I had a very small problem wth my room and he immediately moved me to another room. No fuss, no problems. Hotel seems a bit "worn around the edges." The bed was definitely in need of replacing and all of the furnishings seem dated and worn. I realize that it is not a luxury hotel, but they didn't even have coffee in the morning. The bathroom was not very clean, either.

The first night they didn't clean the room and what ever they used to clean the carpet was either to strong or they used to much cause my friend had a reaction to it with nessing and coughing and had a real strong oder. Other then that it was OK.

Upon checking in several (what appeared to be employees) were standing around front desk and was not acknowledge while their conversation was completed. Was given a room number, when another person behind the front desk asked if reservation was made through Expedia. The reply was yes and she stated we could not be given that room. Again, what appeared to be an employee, was sitting at a chair across from the front desk and would not move so I could pass with the luggage cart. Luggage carts in poor condition. There was hair in the bathtub, blanket on the bed was stained, reservation was made for three adults only enough towels for two, no batteries in remote control, replacement remote control had buttons that did not work. The location of this hotel was good for the reason why I wasin that area. However, I had booked a room with a kitchen & there were no pans to cook with ,no coffee & no hangers for your clothers in the closet. When I asked for the items, they furnished pots but simply said they were out of coffee for the rooms and did not furnish hangers. They made no […] offer to get me any coffee or pay me for it if I got it. Coffer was offered in the room as part of their advertisement. I was there for five days & would have liked morning coffee. Also, whle there I saw the housekeeping staff putting piles of full garbage bags to dispose of in the one and only elevator the hotel had for guest and staff. I really did not like sharing the elevator with the daily garbage although that only happened one time. As I was only there for a while in the mornings and back in the evening to sleep, and the price was OK, it was not that inconivenient for me--just a nusiance. The staff was friendly and I did feel safe in my room, however, for a vacation -especially with children--and would be spending more time at the hotel I would choose somewhere else as there was no swimming pool, or play area. I have to be honest here. After reading the reviews on hotel.com I was really reconsidering my stay at the Savannah Suites. However, I couldn't find a hotel closer to the Hampton Coliseum for the price. When we entered the parking lot, I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the hotel. From the reviews I thought it was going to be run down. Check-in […] was very fast. The staff was extremely courteous. The manager was so kind. I asked for an Ethernet cord for my laptop so that I could do some work and the manager explained that she didn't have any more but would go purchase one for me to use. When we went inside our room (#150) it was very clean. The kitchen, including refrigerator and microwave were clean. We always check for bedbugs and didn't find any. I was there for 3 nights and didn't have a problem. We needed to extend our stay by one night and the manager gave us a price lower than the hotels.com rate. There are lots of restaurants and stores in the area. Granted the Savannah Suites is not a 4 star hotel, but the kind staff makes up for the difference. I know people have varying experiences and I must say that mine was a pleasant one. I will be returning. Read more
