"Excellent Value !"

Stayed here for the Zac Brown Band show. Room was very comfortable for 3 adults & 3 kids. Clean room, AC was ice cold & the pool was like bath water. Would highly recommend this hotel. Very convenient to the highway with restaurants all around.
"Thank you Victor"

We stayed at the Staybridge Suites for a local surprise party. The room was very nice BUT if not for Victor, at the front desk, our weekend would have been severely tainted. I thought I had booked our room on 'points' earlier in the week but somehow this got lost in the cyber world. Instead of enjoying my local friends company whilst they visited our room I I was on the phone to corporate InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) about how my points weren't transferred properly. Corporate office was of no help but Victor took care of everything and made our weekend stress free and enjoyable. Thank you Victor! Nice breakfast and you should eat outside in the courtyard, very clean and enjoyable. Janet Harrow, Ontario
"Gave me a smoking room and would not change it"
06/14/14 Dudley M Birmingham, Alabama
The hotel itself was fine. The problem was I had booked a room for two nights and they put me in a smoking room. Not sure if you have ever stayed in a smoking room, but they are worse than going to somebody's house who is a smoker for some reason. I immediately went to the front desk to request a room change. I was informed that no non-smoking rooms were available,The clerk said she was filling in so she wasn't as concerned about it as a regular employee should have been. I did ask for a discount and received it from the manager (who I never met). The clerk went back in the office and asked the manager if I could get a discount. I would have expected the manager to come out, so that was another negative. Being a rewards club member, I stay at a lot of Staybeidge Inns. I was disappointed in this one.
"Spring Trip to Ohio 2014"

Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. Likes: Nice kitchen with regular size fridge, bedroom is separated from living area by door, nearby access to very good coffee shop and restaurants (Teresa's pizza), easy access to expressway, Metro Bike path, Akron General Health & Wellness Center (charge for this but an excellent facility), my wife's great niece loved the mac&cheese served at a nightly get together. Minus: Internet access was a little "spotty" - possibly because of the holiday. For some reason TV channels were different from bedroom and living area. Wish the cable had the Tennis Channel (French Open) - was able to watch it on-line.
"Newer Hotel, Friendly Staff"
05/28/14 deaconridge Roswell, Georgia
This property is fairly new and as such the rooms are designed for today's traveler. Lots of electrical outlets in the more convenient places; and plenty of them. The room is designed for longer term stays including full refrig, microwave, two burner stove, dishes, silverware, and dishwasher. Internet is free and is adequate for use (not the best but certainly not the worse download speeds I've experienced.) The non smoking room we stayed in had a slightly musty smell upon entering the room but it was not overwhelming nor bothersome once in the room. Excellent common area for breakfast and the breakfast was above average for hotels that include breakfast. The quality of the bed is as you would expect for a budget hotel; good but nothing on the order of a Westin bed. The staff is friendly.
We really enjoyed this hotel. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite, that had 2 queens and a sleeper sofa. Everything was very comfortable, and clean. The pool was a nice size, and a good temperature. The breakfast was very nice also.
"AWFUL customer service!"

Had a terrible experience here! I work at a Days Inn & we would NEVER handle a situation the way my boyfriend/myself were treated! My boyfriend's company paid for a 12 night stay here. The first night a dog started barking non-stop in the middle of the night.... after 4 hours of fitful sleep, around 5:00am I called to complain. There was no manager on duty so I spoke to the front desk clerk. The dog continued to bark. I left to run errands in the morning & returned around 10:00am & I could honestly HEAR THE DOG BARKING FROM THE PARKING LOT! So 5 hours later I again spoke to the front desk clerk (Rachel). She said she had called her manager, but that the manager was not responding, but that the manager should be in the hotel at any moment. I asked her if we could simply change rooms & she said no because "we're sold out tonight." Around noon the dog still had not shut up! We checked in with the front desk. Rachel was still there & reported no word from her manager. Rachel told us it was only her 2nd day on the job -- WHY a hotel would schedule 1 new person at the front desk is plain stupid to me. Taylor (another employee) came up to help. Taylor said we could move to a room on the 3rd floor (which just goes to show Rachel lied to us about being sold out). We pack everything up & moved upstairs. Before even walking into the room we heard a dog barking on THIS floor too. Turns out that dog was in the room next door!!! This was getting ridiculous. We returned to the front desk, livid. @ this point at the Days Inn where I work, we would be working hard to satisfy the guest. Nope. Taylor told us to move all of our things to the employee storage room (including all our cold food) because there were allegedly no other rooms of our type available. Why they did not upgrade us to prevent all this up & down, back & forth is just unprofessional to me. The manager never did show up or rectify anything. That evening my blood sugar went low (I'm diabetic) & while I should have had more sugary foods in the room, I did not. I asked the front desk clerk if there was any way he could briefly turn on the soda machine so I could get a glass of Coke. He refused. It's not his job to take of me, but no one at this hotel seems to be accommodating. I was also told there was no housekeeping services available over the weekend for stayover guests. For the price, Staybridge Suites has awful service. Again, THIS HOTEL IS MOST UNHELPFUL!
"Great place to stay!"

The Staybridge Suites in Stow, OH is always clean, friendly and handy to activities in and around Akron, OH. The price is a little higher than it should be, but other than that everything is great. On this visit, the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes, but at least all I had to do was add detergent and run it -- not a real problem.

Stayed here for 2 nights in March, 2014. We choose hotels with suites & kitchens on a regular basis. This hotel had the best rate for the area at the time we were traveling. The kitchen area was smaller than we've had at other hotels, the evening "happy hour" offerings were quite limited. The breakfast was adequate. It would have been nice if there was coffee available all day in the eating area.

I am disabled and use a cane. There was only one front desk person stationed at check in time of 4pm. There was no chairs in or near the front desk for people to sit and wait while some else is being checked in. First the front desk clerk put us on the wrong side of the hotel. We walked all the way to the old room and then had to walk back to change rooms, even though it was clearly noted we requested to be near the pool. We also booked a larger room or thought we did based on pictures but got a studio for 2 adults and 1 child to eat and sleep in. There was no other rooms available on the side we asked for while booking and was stuck with this small room.We had to sit on the floor to eat at to small tables and my mom sat at the desk to eat.The new room had mystery stains on the ceiling one near the bed and the other near the TV. The big issue was our door lock was not working very well. We called down to the front desk and the gentleman informed us there was nothing they can do till the afternoon of the next day. Another issue was the state of the hot tub. There was dirt on the concrete surround, it was black and there was a large green dirt area just outside of the hot tube heading toward the pool stairs. My other complaint was the continental breakfast consisted of waffles, ice cold hard boiled eggs and warmish sausage. There were grapes and cottage cheese, oat meal, and cold cereal. Although it was a continental breakfast which is free the eggs and the sausage could have been warmer. We also got charged an additional money on our credit after check out and the room was paid in full almost a week before our stay.
