hotel is well located to airport, but tired and in bad need of renovation. carpet in halls is worn and smells like cigarette smoke. new paint and lighting would be a plus

This Hotel was one of the cleanest I have stayed in The pooler Area in a long time. Close to Savanna, the Staff was extremely friendly and well accommodating. Rooms were very comfortable and I highly recommend it. I will stay again when I travel to Savannah.

I was little concerned when I booked this room, but it turned out to be a great choice. We stayed just one night on our way back from Florida, but it was good. The room is very clean and the location is very convenient. However, there was some problem with TV connection while we were there and so we could not enjoy that. Overall very pleased, with one major problem. Whatever they use to clean or deodorize the room made it difficult to breathe, so much so that we had to open a window and leave the room for 30 minutes. This made the room uncomfortable our entire stay. If this issue addressed then we would recommend and revisit Candlewood Suites

This hotel is fine for what it is. It was affordable & clean. There were a few stains on furniture and carpet. Overall it could use some updating. But all in all better than I expected.

The hotel is conveniently located next to other hotels. The outside was clean. Inside the hotel, the guest rep was sitting behind a computer deep inside the room. I had to make myslef known before someone helped me. When I got my room, I went to the second deck and it smelled like a mixture cigarette smoke/wet dog. When I made it to my room, the inside […] was clean but when I looked under the sink, there was still trash and beer cans from the previous visitor. This hotel still has smoking rooms. Even though their are only a few rooms designated for smoking, the odor and smoke can be smelled in the hallways, elevators and even in rooms that did not have the smoking designation. The odor cheapens the overall image of the hotel and is a deterent to would be travelers such as myself.

Hotel had full size frig, stove, microwave, pots/pans/dinnerware, very convenient if we wanted to cook in, very clean room and upon check in, housekeeping stopped in to make sure everything was ok and to see if we needed anything else. I-95 access close by and about 15 min to downtown Savannah. Will be planning another stay.

the pictures we saw on line were very deceiving. The room was supposed to be a suite but it was the same as a regular hotel room. They closed the pool after we had only been in it a short while and never reopened it which is the whole reason we stayed there. Next time I'll drive to a hotel before booking.

Easy to find and only 15 min from downtown Savannah. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. The bed was very comfortable! Loved having the small kitchen to help save on our food bill. Everything was available in the kitchen to cook anything we wanted. Definately recommend this hotel.

We stayed for 3 nights.We had our 2 kids with us and the rooms were nice and roomy. The beds are queen beds so you did not feel cramped in bed. The pool was clean and they had a grill to use so we went down the street to the Super Walmart and got some hot dogs and saved some money rather then eating out. They also have a laundry room you can use and […] it is FREE. I was afraid that we would hear airplanes since it was so close to the airport. But I hardly noticed. I liked the size of the space, the complete kitchen, the operable window which looked out over the pool, ample parking, newness, cleanliness, air-conditioning unit noise level, staff courtesy, excellent location (exit 104 at Sav airport), clean lavatory/tub, and general lack of banging/noise in the corridor by other guests. First experience and probably my last. Had requested a handicapped accessible room and upon arrival told there were none available. Signs in the room say you have to go to the desk to pick up linens, towels, pillows as a general rule, but they were kind enough to deliver a pillow when asked. This is more of an extended stay versus vacation or business […] motel. Staff was kind enough on second night to provide one handicapped room and even provided additional room at no charge, since we needed two beds for the handicapped members of the family. No breakfast provided, however, it is in a great location close to Waffle House & also try Sam Snead's Restaurant within walking distance. Their shrimp flatbread was great. Read more

WE HAD OUR DOG WITH US, AND EXPECTED A SLIGHT PET ODOR IN THE ROOM, BUT THE ODOR IN THE ROOM WE HAD WAS OVERWHELMING. WE HAD TO KEEP THE WINDOWS OPEN, AND LIGHT CANDLES. TERRIBLE.

Very nice experience staying at candlewood. The hotel staff was very nice and the location was just perfect for us since we were out of town visitors. Would recommend anyone who Is traveling to savannah to stay at candlewood.

The hotel was clean and very convenient, however, there were no towels or wash cloths until the next morning and we had to go down to the desk to get them. There is no breakfast, which we knew, but the coffee is the worst I have tasted in many years.
