This place truly is amazing. Paradise doesn't even do it justice. The baray villa we stayed in doesn't even have words to describe it. It is so nice that we lost $1200 on a different hotel that we ate so we could stay here longer. It is truly a place that dreams are made of. Great hotel excellent location all the staff was very nice and willing to do whatever you needed. rooms were a bit small due the huge bed. The porch was awesome to sir and have coffee every morning. The pool is perfect and the breakfast was always fresh and delicious.

There was a small table and bench outside of our room on the front porch so it was nice to have an outdoor living space. This was, as others have written, an oasis in what is now a busy beach town. The rooms were great, the grounds beautiful, food delicious but the best part was the staff who met all our needs before we knew we had them. If we come back to Phuket, we will stay here without a doubt.

This hotel is a must see. It's like walking into a secluded paradise. The gardens and decor are just incredible. It was living in luxury. My only complaint is that the rooms were very small, and due to the garden, they have a bad mosquito problem. But, the beds have mosquito netting, which makes the rooms a bit more romantic...They also have citronella […] candles and such to allay the problem. Sawasdee Village is a really neat place to to stay...you walk through gardens to get to your room! it is so peaceful and relaxing. The rooms are so intamate with a lace curtain that hangs down around the bed acting as a mosiquito net. I was really worried about the mosiquitos when I booked this hotel but it really wasn't a problem, we did have a few […] in our room over the course of the week and I did get some bites, but nothing crazy and my boyfriend didn't get any bites so.... and they do provide bug spray plus we brought our own...but we never used any all week! it wasn't necessary. Unfortunately the front desk wasn't really all that helpful but the travel agency right across the street is awesome - very very helpful guy working there - honest, friendly and patient! you can also rent an underwater camera from a scuba shop just a few store fronts down the street. The shower does tend to flood pretty badly but we just put our used beach towels on the floor outside the shower stall they were replaced every morning was it was really a big deal. plus the design of the shower head was so awesome it could flood all it wanted and still be awesome! waterfull style right out of the ceiling. The breakfast service in the restaurant was overly attentive to the point of annoying (cultural difference i think). We didn't eat there for dinner or use the spa so I can't comment. All in all we really enjoyed the Sawasdee Village and would return and recommend it to my friends. Read more

Firstly the staff are amazing and cannot do enough to help. The hotel is set about 10 min walk from Kata beach and there is an hourly bus to and from the beach but it is easily walkable. The hotel is based on traditional Thai and not modern. The rooms are dark to keep cool. There is air con, TV, computer in the rooms. Also shampoo, conditioner, shower […] get, toothbrush and paste, bug spray (mozzies!), pool towels. The beds were too hard for my liking and also the the beds had thin duvets - I would've preferred sheets and a blanket but it was OK (I'm sure if I'd asked they would've changed this for me. The rooms also have a mozzie net which they put over each night, but we decided after the first night that you are more likely to be bitten sitting by the pool than in the room, wear mozzie spray at all times. The hotel has one good size pool with water fountains and jacuzzi effect and good for swimming laps. There is also a small pool for kids. The hotel is fairly small so there are always beds available around the pool. There is a pool bar with snacks. The hotel has two restaurants, one is traditional Thai and the other is western and snacks. Both were excellent although they use a curry based sauce on all the Thai food - even when it says oyster sauce, so if you don't like curry beware and order sweet and sour or stick to western food). There is a Spa but we didn't use it. On the whole a great time. Read more

The room we had wasn't the biggest we've had in all the hotels we've stayed in, quite small for us to be honest, I like a bit of room where I can put the suitcase on the floor and not trip over it every 2 minutes or constantly moving bags around to get to the cupboard or fridge. We appreciated our greeting and easy check in after arriving at midnight in the rain. They quickly assisted us with our luggage and umbrellas! I particularly appreciated the number of water bottles provided and beach towels, the mozzie coils and turn down services, the cleaning staff always left notes and nothing seemed to be a problem.
