"Good value for the price"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 30, 2012
Very well appointed with many amenities. I felt a bit being "cheap" to charge an extra $5.00 for a code for internet connection. Their offer for free internet service, means a single terminal in the main lobby with internet connection. Long line up, and inconvenience. For a daily $5.00 guest can obtain their personal code to use their own equipment in privacy.Other than that, it was a pleasant stay
"April in....Quebec"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 27, 2012
Great little boutique hotel in the heart of old Quebec, across a small park from the Frontenac and a block from stairway to Quartier Petit-Champlain. Rooms on the small side but cozy, incorporating them into the limits of a very old building. Very clean in-room and out. Very helpful, friendly staff to Americans with French that doesn't go much beyond "bonjour." Outstanding breakfast--waffles with maple cream sauve are a must. Daily parking was reasonable and only one block away.
"restaurant nothing special"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 23, 2012
although the hotel per se was fine, the location wa quite a distance from the old city, and the restuarant left something to be desired. Having never in my life sent anything back, I actually did send back a salad with ingredients other than what was specified in the menu. the seoncd one was not much better, but I did not send it back a second time. service was barely acceptable.
"Perfect Location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 22, 2012
Amazing location, almost every other building on the street was restaurant with any type of ambiance from Italian to Indian and beyond!

"Hotel Acadia in Old Quebec City"
The staff was friendly and very helpful, and the rates and location were excellent; but the condition of the room (badly marred walls, broken lamp) detracted, and the absence of suitable lighting for shaving and applying makeup was a definite turnoff (and a major challenge). Also, and this is just our opinion, the duvet weighed a ton. Really warm duvets […] really do come in lighter weight versions--we own one! Read more
Excellent location helpful staff, large rooms (we upgraded to the two double bed room). This is a small European style hotel, as long as you are not expecting a big American style chain hotel you will love it.
"This was the best location!! Love the rustic feel!"
The hotel was great!!! Location prime!! It was a small size hotel but I loved the rustic feel of it, it made me feel like I was part of the city. Most of the staff was very friendly and professional. There was only one girl with short blond hair and many, many ear piercings that should not be working in customer service since she was very rude but one […] bad one out of all the employees is not bad. Rooms were very clean, decor was A+. Price was good. I will stay again if i to visit. :-) Read more
"Good Value within the walls"
Hotel Acadia is a solid choice for any traveler especially tourist who looks for comfort, cleanliness and convenience on a decent budget. This is not a boutique or high end hotel but does offer a great place to call "home" while in Quebec Cityt. The bathroom and room were both spacious. The windows opened to charming rue Stainte-ursule - and expect […] typical city "noises" if the windows are open. The staff is very welcoming to English speakers and are all bilingual. They helped us locate a grocery, pharmacy and make dinner reservations. For $3 you can rent a movie to watch on the DVD player in the room. Minimal selection but decent choices. Breakfast is at a restaurant around the corner. It is so-so in quality but is fine for a first cup of coffee. This hotel is extremely convenient to many tourist locations including the Citadel, rue Sainte-Jean where many restaurants are located and a pleasant walk to the Hotel Frontenanc area. The horse drawn carriages can pick you up right at the hotel. Would definitely recommend to people who desire accommodations which are affordable but of high quality. Read more

"Great location little comfort"
There was no room maintenance for two days we stayed. Complained about leaking shampoo but no response. Receptionists are helpful but we haven't seen maintenance staff. Rooms are decent but small and pricy.
"The Acadia was way better than I had expected"
I realize this was a one time experience but I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was somewhat small but if you stay in city center areas this is to be expected. However, it was plenty big enough for one person, and probably would have sufficed my wife and I. The hotel was within blocks of all the places in old town Quebec one would want […] to go and see. The people were very helpful and friendly. I would most definitely stay here again. Read more

"Charming Hotel Acadia"
Hotel Acadia is a charming hotel within the walls of Quebec City. We were expecting a different experience than we usually have in modern hotels, and that is what we got. The hotel is very conveniently located. The staff was friendly and helpful. Except for creaky floor noises from above, it was quiet. The neighborhood is quiet, no crowds walking past. […] The room was small. The furnishings in our room were old, but the bed was quite comfortable. The only real complaint we had was the shower. The shower had a safety that would turn off the flow if there was a sudden drop in cold water pressure. The water shut off repeatedly whenever I showered, and it would be off for several minutes at a time. It was difficult to regulate the water temperature. Overall, I would recommend the Hotel Acadia, with the stipulation that it is not a modern hotel. If you understand and accept this, you will have a pleasant stay. Read more
"Central location in Old Quebec- cute and cozy"
The hotel is located centrally in Old Quebec within walking distance from Dufferin Terrace, Plains of Abraham, Notre Dame, restaurants and shopping. Valet parking is available. Hotel room was cute and cozy and clean.
"Great Hotel!"
I was sooo pleased with my stay at Hotel Acadia, it was charming and very enjoyable. Lots of great food choices near by, as well as shopping.

"Lack of Focus on Quality"
Stayed two nights and were upgraded to a suite which was OK (complete with pull-down screen and whiteboard) along with a fully equipped kitchen. After returning after a day of sight-seeing, garbage was emptied and towels were changed...beds were not made. Desk help was very empathetic but nothing was done about it. Upon checking out, I asked if compensation […] would be made for the inconvenience. The response...no. Would not stay again! Read more
This hotel was absolutely perfect. Even after reading the glowing reviews, it exceeded my expectations. The only glitch was that room service came into my room in spite of the 'do not disturb' sign.
great location, walking distance to everything, parking is very tight and valet only. You have to wait about 10 mins to get your car. The room was very small, however clean. This is good if you are not looking for a lot of comfort and just a place to sleep for a couple of nights.

"Hotel Acadia, central and comfortable"
Very good central location, and excellent breakfast at a nearby restaurant. Room was spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed the rooftop hot tub. On the down side, no elevator, noise from stairway, and (like the rest of the city) a lot of ice on the sidewalk. Overall, we would book here again mainly for the ambience of the old building and the convenient […] location. Read more

"Downstairs deluxe room"
We wouldn't stay in that room again as it was a little stuffy, and we had asked for a deluxe room with a classic stone wall, the wall was a plastic stone. But the hotel was nice, service great and in a great spot. We have heard other positive reviews of this hotel so we would just ask for another room

"Great location, everything within walking distance"
We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Arcadia. The rooms are small (not unusual in this very old part of the city) but comfortable and clean and well appointed. The hotel charges a fairly hefty rate for overnight parking but cetainly preferable to the impressive fine levied on street parking!
"Nice and cozy"
My friend and I stayed this Hotel for two days. It is not modern big hotel, but cute, nice, and comfortable hotel. Especially the bed was very comfortable. We had very good sleep both nights. Bathroom is tight and washbowl(sink) in living space is a little weird. But it didn't bother us at all. We definitely recomend this hotel to anyone who wants to […] have a historical small town(Old Quebec City) experience. Read more
"Wonderful Hotel"
Staff was very friendly and spoke English. Room was beautiful, comfortable and very clean. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Would stay here again for sure and will recommend to friends. We plan on returning in the winter.
"Great location"
The hotel room, although small, was comfortable and nicely decorated. The shower stall could have been bigger as well. I also found the 4:00 PM check-in time to be a little late. However, the location in Old Quebec, with a 5 minute walk to Chateau Frontenac made up for everything. I plan to come back again in the winter.
"ACAADIA WORTH WHILE PLACE TO STAY"
OUR ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN WITH A COURTEOUS STAFF AND EXCELLENT VALET SERVICE.
We thought that this charming hotel in Old Quebec was just perfect. The location was close to everything and easy to find. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was beautiful and the rate was very reasonable. We are recommending this spot to everyone!
"Quaint Quebec Hotel"
We loved the location and the hotel. Maybe it was because of the busy season, but there was a dirty towl under our bed and a hair clip left on the sink. Other than that... it was PERFECT! Clean, nicely folded towels, cooled nicely by airco on the most charming street in the heart of Quebec! Would definitely recommend and go back to!

"Clean and Charming"
Great location, rental unit size and service. Close to Morrin Centre, Chateau Frontenac and Citadel of Quebec. Excellent for families. Plenty of space for rest, luggage and dining. Did not provide coffee however.
"Hotel Acadia - Quebec City"
Very good location at a walking distance from the old city of Quebec. If you have a car, the parking rates are high in the old city centre. Some rooms are better than some other. The first one that they gave us was very dark, almost no daylight, but the service was good, and they gave us a better room without problem. Rooms are beautiful, well deco […] rated. Read more

fantastic location; very helpful staff; loved our rooms!
"Hotel Acadia,QcForthcoming as the Acadian people"
Arriving in a snowstorm 21. April The welcome at the frontdesk was as nice as the fireplace and cosy conditions in our room. Only thing missing: A waterboiler for a nice cup of tea.
"Hotel Acadia in Quebec City"
The hotel is very well situated in the old city. A nice old hotel with lots of character. The rooftop spa has a nice view of the city. we had a great time in Quebec and hotel Acadia helped to make our stay really pleasant. The Front desk personal are very nice and helpful, always with a big smile on their face. THANKS!!
"Hotel Acadia - small comfy hotel within Old Quebec"
this hotel is a nice comfy hotel thats right in the middle of old quebec and close walking distance to the bus terminal. our room came with a small kitchen with a mini fridge and a sink. the room had plenty of room and had a nice homey feel to it. the staff were nice and friendly and do speak english for those who do not know french, which was nice. […] The entertainment such as the tv and dvd player and speaker system was not very impressive and we actually had trouble playing a DVD. on the other hand, the roof top hot tub was very nice with a nice view from the top of the hotel. given that its a small hotel you are able to stay in the hot tub for a good time just relaxing and enjoying the view. i felt that the beds were not very comfortable but after a full day outside they were still comfortable enough to enjoy a good night sleep. My only comment would be the area surrounding the hotel is very touristy and very expensive. Would rather stay somewhere in the new town if I was staying again but you can walk everywhere from the location so its still worth booking.
