Cedar Breaks Lodge - Brian Head

Nice hotel, with great spa! Pity that breakfast and wifi are not included. Price is high enough to include these options. The spa contains large pool, two hottubs and a sauna. Very convenient. Room ok, plenty of room, although sitting area is quite dark. No real problems with that, but without lights on unusable. Bedroom ok, next to window.

We only stayed one night out of the 4 originally planned. The lodge was great. Very nicely done. The rooms were terrific and the lounge was one that I had always hoped to find. Over stuffed chairs surrounding a gas fireplace. The staff was very inviting and polite. The staff was very understanding and we checked out the next morning and headed to lower altitudes. The stay was great and we had some great corn snow!!! The only thing we didn't like was the beds. They were.nice for watching TV but the pillow top was too soft for sleeping. With that said, I would recommend the Cedar Breaks Lodge and will be back for more great snow next year :) Cheers

We absolutely loved our 5 days at Cedar Breaks. The front desk staff were extremely helpful. We booked the wrong room due to misunderstanding the online descriptions, and they changed us (upgraded!) without problem or cost. Ask to stay in the main building - that's where all the amenities are. The pool area is lovely with 2 massive hot tubs, a fire […] place, steam room, dry sauna, and showers in the bathroom. We were surprised by a 2 foot snowfall while there, and the lodge found us some sleds to use for free. All of the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Please know that humidifiers are available at no charge; you just have to ask for one. We would highly suggest this as even coming from Las Vegas, we had issues with the dryness. Also, the jetted tubs are only the size of a normal tub, not a larger jacuzzi, and the step up into the tub (which is also the shower) is probably about 18 inches with another 4-5 inches in width. Small children and people with mobility issues will certainly need assistance. I can see how this lodge would get crowded and noisy with the ski season crowd. Unless that's your thing, I'd probably choose another option. Noise in the hallway was clearly heard in our outer room. If you have little ones who need to nap or go to bed early, I might look somewhere else during ski season. Read more

We booked this hotel based on the "13 miles from Cedar City/Shakepearean Festival" description on your site, and it looked like a very nice motel to stay at. It turned out that this motel is more like 30 miles from Cedar City and up a very steep canyon to get there. We originally booked it for 2 nights but after overheating our car to get there the […] first night we decided to stay right in Cedar City the second night (wasn't worth destroying our car to get there after the festival, even without a refund for the second night). The room was very modern, clean, and spacious and we liked the warmth of the fireplace as we weren't accustomed to the cold weather and snow when we arrived. The convenience of the parking garage and luggage cart was a definite plus. We enjoyed the restaurant in the main lodge and thought the food was excellent. While the person we had was thorough, we did not find him particularly friendly or helpful when we asked questions about the hotel/surrounding area. The lodge and location are truly gorgeous and the service was wonderful. That said, the road leading up to the hotel is most treacherous and the multiple lodges make taking advantage of the hotel ammenities less than convenient. Try to arrive only during daylight hours!

My daughter and I took a trip to Cedar City to see a play with the Utah Shakespeare Festival and booked with Cedar Breaks Lodge so that we would have the chance to do some hiking while in southern Utah. I was very […] pleasantly surprised with how updated the rooms are with slate tile and a jetted tub in the bathroom. Also the flat screen TVs and fireplace was such a nice touch and we used the fireplace each evening after we got back from our adventures. The rooms were kept very clean and we felt safe in the hotel. It was a bummer to have to walk to another building to get to the pool and hot tub (I couldn't imagine doing that in February) but the pool was a nice size as was the hot tub. There is excellent hiking near by and the Parowan Petroglyphs are not far away. The staff was helpful in finding trails appropriate for my 7 year old. We ate breakfast in the case on our last day and the portions were huge and not over priced. The server was fantastic and service was fast. I will definitely return to Cedar Breaks Lodge for next year's Shakespeare Fest. Read more

Some aspects of this hotel are great - beds, fireplace and of course the scenery were great. I also found that housekeeping did a very good job. The location is fantastic and the short drive to Cedar City was not a problem at all. However the staff in nearly every aspect was unhelpful, disinterested and on the verge of rude. It was a strange experience as I've never encountered this at a nicer hotel before. My last note is a strange smell that encompassed the hotel hallways. Very nice hotel but everything very expensive. No meals provided and cost of meals were very expensive. No computers available unless you wanted to pay for time used. General store in vicinity but restaurants outside of hotel were about 3 miles down the road. Not close to National Parks but good place to ski.

We stayed there after visiting Bryce Canyon. Driving to Brian Head in the dark was quite difficult due to many deer on the Road. If your going there try to reach Brian Head before it gets to dark. The hotel was very nice, service great.

Hotel was nice but the service was lacking. Receptionist told me to call back when I had a question and fee structure (late checkout, deposits) was inappropriate for off season. Hotel was basically empty but we were told there was a fee of over 100$ if we were not out by 10AM.

Due to the nature of my work I often need a hotel up i'm the Brian Head area. The Cedar Breaks Lodge is always a great value in the off season. The hotel has a nice steak restaurant and bar/grill. The pool is fantastic and the rooms are great!

We booked our stay at Cedar Breaks Lodge because of it's proximity to Cedar Breaks National Monument and Bryce Canyon National Park. While very close to the Monument, it is quite a haul, about 70-75 minutes each way, to get to and from Bryce Canyon. Be very careful while driving at night because of heavy deer activity in the area. The bathtub is jetted, but because of this is not very elderly friendly. There is quite a high step up to enter the tub. It was fine for me to navigate, but not for the elderly couple in my party. Also, my father was bothered by the high altitude of the resort (9,600 feet) which caused him some shortness of breath issues especially while trying to sleep at night. We were worried when we first arrived. The driveway was in desperate need of repair, as was the road leading up to the driveway. As it turns out, they are paving next week. the signs went up the day we checked out! However, once we got inside, the staff more than made up for it. The much vaunted gift shop/cafe left a lot to be desired, as they refused to sell me cappuccino (or anything else) because their computers were down and they could not figure out prices and taxes without their computers.
