"Hiking in Bryce and Cedar Breaks"
I usually stay at Rby's Inn when I hike Bryce Canyon. Everything close to the park was sold out for the weekend. I used Hotels.com and found Cedar Breaks Lodge to be very close to Bryce with the added bonus of being in the beautiful mountains above Cedar City. I booked two nights and what a wonderful experience we had. The rooms are MUCH better than […] Ruby's in. Plenty of room, comfortable beds, clean, clean, clean. I'll be staying at Cedar Breaks Lodge from now on and skip the crazy at Rubys. After hiking all day in the heat of Bryce Canyon it was great to get back to the cool mountain air of Cedar Breaks. The drive is scenic and short, knowing we had a reservation at the Steak House at the lodge was added incentive as the dinning options close to Bryce Canyon are VERY limited. The Steak House came through with an amazing meal. Perfect weekend get away! Thank you Cedar Breaks Lodge!!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great place! Beautiful room The GM was the best !Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall an excellent facility in an ideal location for Bryce and Zion Parks and of course for skiing. The only complaint would be the poor acoustics in the dining areas which served to amplify the usual loud conversations associated with eating and drinking. The servers were also understaffed and overworked.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Enjoyed the stay. Will do it again. This hotel does not have air conditioning and probably does not need it most days of the year because of high altitude. The days we stayed were a little warm up on the third floor. 1st floor rooms were just fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Customer service lacking"
Front desk clerk had no understanding of customer service. Probably, the worst I have ever experienced.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful place, helpful staff"
Our stay at Cedar Breaks Lodge in Brian Head, Utah, was perfect. The location is very beautiful. The staff went out of their way to help us and were very friendly. We highly recommend the lodge.Genuine Expedia guest review
The suite was well-appointed with all the comforts of home, including a kitchenette. Staff was courteous and exceedingly helpful: they made our stay more pleasant than would ordinarily be expected. Requests were immediately fulfilled, including follow-up calls to ensure requests had been satisfactorily met. The gas fireplace in the bedroom was a nice […] touch: at 10 thousand feet in elevation, it came in handy, despite the fact our stay was in July. Dining accommodations were excellent and reasonably priced as well. We stayed three days during this first experience and will plan to book accommodations at the same inn for a longer period the next time we visit Utah. Underground parking is certain to be a significant benefit during the winter season. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel staff was always helpful and prompt. It was a bit inconvenient to have to get the towels for the pool from the gift shop and sign for them then bring them back before we went to our room in another building. The room was nice and well kept and not much need to use airconditioning. There was always a nice breeze. The family across the hall […] from us rented two rooms and kept going back and forth with their young children and letting them run up and down the halls as late as 10:30pm. I think hotel staff should put signs in the rooms to not slam your door and be considerate of other guests just like the sign on the wall for the whirlpool in the room. The game room downstairs was nice for our 10 and 12 year olds. They offer basket ball, a play ground for the little ones and volleyball outside also. I was disappointed that the hotel was over one hour from Bryce, not what the web site said. But we did see some beautiful scenery along the way including Cedar Breaks Mon. Took that route to Zion after our stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Drove forever to get here"
The staff was stuffy, and the room was okay. But it was over priced and way off the beaten path. Will never take a suggestion from a hotel.com customer service person again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Lodge near Cedar Breaks"
Good experience overall. Be aware.. summer (june) is slow and staff level is at a minimum. Lodge restaurants closed or minimally opened, but the food is yummy. Room kitchen is fully stock and BBQ available, so bring your groceries and you will save money. Very close to Cedar Breaks and Dixie National Forest. Great for hiking & cycling in the summer […] after you adjust to the altitude. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Not bad but a few improvements needed"
No a/c for a summer visit. The room got very warm and only offer a big/noisy box fan to cool. Maybe a window fan to blow cool outside air in would be a better alternative. Also the bulbs in the bath room were very hot and radiated more heat.Genuine Expedia guest review
nice place, nice peopleGenuine Hotels.com guest review
staff very friendly and attentive. Awesome setting. did not like the shower, would have preferred tub/shower. Lots of hiking and hotel is self contained. Loved that. would definitely come againGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Really a treat -only negative comments are that the coffee shop didn't open till 9am both days we were there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice clean hotel"
Convenient and clean facilities. It has good distance to Bryce ans Zion canyon. Breakfast restaurant is little disappointing.Genuine Expedia guest review
I would not recommend this place to anyone, unless they are staying there for the skiing at Brian Head. Even then I would think twice. My 1 bedroom suite was OK, the bedroom itself and the bathroom were fine. However, the "living room" was tiny and dreary with no natural sunlight, and the kitchen was ridiculously small. It had a fridge, a 2 burner stove, […] and a sink. No counters. They also provided us with exactly 2 pots. Needless to say cooking anything was challenging, and I specifically booked this place because of the kitchenette. Also, the towels were the most disgusting towels I've ever seen in my life. Location-wise, part of the reason I booked this place was its proximity to Zion and Bryce. However, you have to keep in mind that it's a 1.5 drive to each one, and Cedar Lodge is high in the mountains, so we had to drive in a snowstorm one day (and it was the end of May!) Nice hotel, with great spa! Pity that breakfast and wifi are not included. Price is high enough to include these options. The spa contains large pool, two hottubs and a sauna. Very convenient. Room ok, plenty of room, although sitting area is quite dark. No real problems with that, but without lights on unusable. Bedroom ok, next to window.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cedar Breaks a bit too high for us"
We only stayed one night out of the 4 originally planned. The lodge was great. Very nicely done. The rooms were terrific and the lounge was one that I had always hoped to find. Over stuffed chairs surrounding a gas fireplace. The staff was very inviting and polite. If my wife and I had not gotten altitude sickness (10,000 feet elevation) we would have […] stayed the entire time. The staff was very understanding and we checked out the next morning and headed to lower altitudes. We would go back again but first we would spend a few days at slightly lower elevation getting acclimated first. If you can take the elevation this lodge was well worth the money! "Great Place to Stay when in Brian Head"
The stay was great and we had some great corn snow!!! The only thing we didn't like was the beds. They were.nice for watching TV but the pillow top was too soft for sleeping. With that said, I would recommend the Cedar Breaks Lodge and will be back for more great snow next year :) CheersGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Home away from home right next to the ski slopes. Very comfortable stay. Great for family.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Family Lodging"
The 1 bed Villa is terrific especially if you want to prepare your own food. The large fridge/freezer is great, lots of room for frozen-microwavable foods. The room was set up well with living area separated from sleeping room by the kitchenette. The only negative was the pull-out sofa sleeper was very, very uncomfortable (which is common but this was […] particularly bad). The pad was so thin you could truly feel the metal supports straight through. Only one staff person was unpleasant during our 6 day stay, the rest of the staff was splendid and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again (with our own cleansers & an extra pad)! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good overall but a little disappointing."
Fresh, bright room with fridge, microwave & dishes. Underground parking convenient. Selection of dining in hotel & nice pool area. Be aware that the hotel consists of 3 separate buildings - all dining options, pool, gift shop etc.in main building - so if your room is not in the main building you have to walk outside to get there (no locker area in pool, […] just one restroom with a shower in it, so getting changed after using pool a challenge, chilly walk back to room). Also, free wi-fi only available near reception area in main building. Our room was clean on arrival, but housekeeping just didn't appear one of the 3 days we were there. We had a great time. If I had one complaint it'd be the in room coffee. It was terrible, but I have yet to stay at a hotel that has decent in the room coffee.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great anniversary weekend"
We absolutely loved our 5 days at Cedar Breaks. The front desk staff were extremely helpful. We booked the wrong room due to misunderstanding the online descriptions, and they changed us (upgraded!) without problem or cost. Ask to stay in the main building - that's where all the amenities are. The pool area is lovely with 2 massive hot tubs, a fire […] place, steam room, dry sauna, and showers in the bathroom. We were surprised by a 2 foot snowfall while there, and the lodge found us some sleds to use for free. All of the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Please know that humidifiers are available at no charge; you just have to ask for one. We would highly suggest this as even coming from Las Vegas, we had issues with the dryness. Also, the jetted tubs are only the size of a normal tub, not a larger jacuzzi, and the step up into the tub (which is also the shower) is probably about 18 inches with another 4-5 inches in width. Small children and people with mobility issues will certainly need assistance. I can see how this lodge would get crowded and noisy with the ski season crowd. Unless that's your thing, I'd probably choose another option. Noise in the hallway was clearly heard in our outer room. If you have little ones who need to nap or go to bed early, I might look somewhere else during ski season. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"not as close to Cedar City as expected"
We booked this hotel based on the "13 miles from Cedar City/Shakepearean Festival" description on your site, and it looked like a very nice motel to stay at. It turned out that this motel is more like 30 miles from Cedar City and up a very steep canyon to get there. We originally booked it for 2 nights but after overheating our car to get there the […] first night we decided to stay right in Cedar City the second night (wasn't worth destroying our car to get there after the festival, even without a refund for the second night). The hotel is very nice and had a nice meal in the bar that night with some very nice people that served us. The overall quality of the hotel was very nice. just not so nice to get to it. Room was clean and well prepared for our arrival, front staff could have been a bit more friendly, and there is "complimentary internet or breakfast" but all-in-all a nice motel. The room was very modern, clean, and spacious and we liked the warmth of the fireplace as we weren't accustomed to the cold weather and snow when we arrived. The convenience of the parking garage and luggage cart was a definite plus. We enjoyed the restaurant in the main lodge and thought the food was excellent. The waiter we had was particularly friendly […] and made the eating experience that much better. If there was an area which could use a bit of attention, it would be the desk staff. While the person we had was thorough, we did not find him particularly friendly or helpful when we asked questions about the hotel/surrounding area. Since we really liked the hotel overall, we are just going to chalk that part of the stay as someone having an "off" day. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice, but do think twice..."
The lodge and location are truly gorgeous and the service was wonderful. That said, the road leading up to the hotel is most treacherous and the multiple lodges make taking advantage of the hotel ammenities less than convenient. Try to arrive only during daylight hours!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect fall get-away"
My daughter and I took a trip to Cedar City to see a play with the Utah Shakespeare Festival and booked with Cedar Breaks Lodge so that we would have the chance to do some hiking while in southern Utah. The proximity to Cedar City makes the hotel an obvious choice for anyone who wants to combine the beauty of the mountains with the Festival. I was very […] pleasantly surprised with how updated the rooms are with slate tile and a jetted tub in the bathroom. Also the flat screen TVs and fireplace was such a nice touch and we used the fireplace each evening after we got back from our adventures. The rooms were kept very clean and we felt safe in the hotel. It was a bummer to have to walk to another building to get to the pool and hot tub (I couldn't imagine doing that in February) but the pool was a nice size as was the hot tub. There is excellent hiking near by and the Parowan Petroglyphs are not far away. The staff was helpful in finding trails appropriate for my 7 year old. We ate breakfast in the case on our last day and the portions were huge and not over priced. The server was fantastic and service was fast. I will definitely return to Cedar Breaks Lodge for next year's Shakespeare Fest. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Beautiful location, but indifferent service"
Some aspects of this hotel are great - beds, fireplace and of course the scenery were great. I also found that housekeeping did a very good job. The location is fantastic and the short drive to Cedar City was not a problem at all. However the staff in nearly every aspect was unhelpful, disinterested and on the verge of rude. I felt like I was dealing […] with high school students as they "fit me in" between their phones and personal conversations. It was a strange experience as I've never encountered this at a nicer hotel before. My last note is a strange smell that encompassed the hotel hallways. I'm not sure if this is because these rooms are also used as a time share and there is frequent cooking, but it was unpleasant and stale. My room once I aired it out was fine though. "I hope to stay here again"
This hotel had it all! Gas fireplace and whirlpool tub in our room, fantastic ambiance! The beds were comfortable and room was clean. Views were great, good food at the restaurant and covered parking. Although we were there in September, it's a great place for skiers....at 10,400 feet above sea level, it's surrounded by ski slopes. We stayed at 12 different […] hotels in 12 nights and this one was far and above the nicest and the best value too. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Very nice hotel but everything very expensive. No meals provided and cost of meals were very expensive. No computers available unless you wanted to pay for time used. General store in vicinity but restaurants outside of hotel were about 3 miles down the road. Not close to National Parks but good place to ski.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Superb location, luxurious amenities."
Loved the room, it was spacious, very clean, only have one complaint. there was not air conditioning in the room. The location, staff and amenities were some of the best I have experienced. I would definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone.Genuine Expedia guest review
We stayed there after visiting Bryce Canyon. Driving to Brian Head in the dark was quite difficult due to many deer on the Road. If your going there try to reach Brian Head before it gets to dark. The hotel was very nice, service great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Check-in was a problem due to a screw-up by the online booking site. A special note of thanks to the Facilities and service crew David & James for helping us with the car problem. Thank you both for ensuring a safe trip for us.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Mountain Biking Trip"
Hotel was nice but the service was lacking. Receptionist told me to call back when I had a question and fee structure (late checkout, deposits) was inappropriate for off season. Hotel was basically empty but we were told there was a fee of over 100$ if we were not out by 10AM.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Except for some missing items such as towels or coffee in the room on our second day - which was immediately corrected when we called - everything else is wonderful! What a pleasant surprise!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great stay in the off season!"

This is a VERY nice hotel, especailly for the price we got through Hotels.com!! We arrived late in the evening (about 9:00 pm) and t he only thing is there was no where to eat when we arrived in town. There was a restaraunt at the hotel, but we did not know it until after we had driven into the next town, ate, then traveled back to the hotel.
