We were directed to our room in another building. Since there was no air-conditioning, we opened the windows, hence, the noise from the roadway. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and, again, we were very disappointed. The fish fry was overdone to the extreme. The coconut shrimp were almost black. However, the wait staff were excellent, polite and hard-working. Our experience with breakfast was similar. Staff were helpful and attentive. Coffee was terrible! Potatoes were over-cooked and hard. The rooms are not touched by housekeeping unless you are staying for more than 4 days! We were not told of this until we inquired in the afternoon of our second day.

Lovely location, town with only three restaurants. No A/C in room but windows open wide and they did provide a window fan. This is a time share location so be prepared for the sales spiel. Great views but really secluded in the Summer/Fall. Expensive hotel restaurant but nice bar.

The only reason we chose this hotel was because everything close to Bryce and Zion were sold out! We now know why it was available...no air conditioning (and even at that altitude it was hot)! The appearance from the outside when we pulled up in the driveway was paint peeling around the front entrance and cows everywhere grazing! The front desk lady who checked us in appeared to be busy on the internet taking care of her own business and she was far from friendly! Our room was alright, however, if you are short getting in and out of the jacuzzi tub could be an issue as it is high and the shower head is horrible and painful...felt like pin pricks! If going to Bryce and the Zion plan on spending 3 hrs round trip driving! We just made the best of the drive and enjoyed the Fall colors! Restaurants in the area are limited. You can either eat at the hotel or eat at a Mexican restaurant or Pizza restaurant down the street. If booking thru Expedia and it says non refundable...they mean it! We would have probably checked out and attempted to find another hotel after our first night had we been able to get a refund! So buyer beware!

The waitress that served us breakfast in the cafe (Victoria) was not only efficient, but was so friendly and cheerful. She asked about our visit and told us about herself as well. The breakfast was delicious also, but Victoria's cheerfulness really made our mealtime fun.

Primarily a winter ski resort, this facility offered reduced rates during off season. We were pleasantly surprised at the spaciousness, cleanliness and comfort of our room. This facility is very well maintained and the staff was excellent. We will return.

This lodge was more than we expected. Our room was a one bedroom type facility. It even had a kitchen. When evening rolled around, we had dinner at the restaurant on site. We both enjoyed our meal and even took a caramel walnut cheesecake back to our room. Everything was yummy!

The bed and the pillows were very uncomfortable. The staff refused to clean our room because we stayed only two nights. There was construction outside that started at 7 AM.

It was hard to find, as the GPS took us to the top of the mountain to a dead end. But the stay was fine - waitstaff at the restaurant friendly & helpful. The coffe shop wasn't open when we were leaving in the morning, but the lady was very helpful & served us anyway. Room was spacious & clean, well-stocked mini-kitchen. Fireplace didn't work, as well as hall light.

Just a one night only after visiting Bryce Canyon on our way to Las Vegas. Typical winter resort which stays open for the complete season. Arrived late afternoon, and was greeted at check-in with a teenager who did not appear to have a good time, so rather crudely.

We stayed at this property for 2 nights. Overall we had a good stay, but the hotel has hidden resort fees of $5.00 per night and $10.00 wifi per device. The biggest problem we has was their lack of respect for noise late at night. The hotel and maintenance staff tore an event down between the hours of 12 to 3 am. using ATV's and large trucks. This hotel has no A/C, so to be comfortable you have to have a window open. I expressed my frustration to the front desk manager. He looked at my reservation then agreed that the noise was disruptive but refused to issue a refund when I requested one from hotels.com. That is bad business, to agree with my consern and frustartion to my face, then refuse a refund behind my back.

We needed a place to stop at on our way to Vegas so gave cedar lodge a try since we stay at quite a few diamond resort properties. Keep in mind we are not hard to satisfy. Check in was quick but the staff at counter was not friendly or very helpful. The property had a "Shining" feel to it. Kind of lonely and a bit scarey. Our room was okay but dated. The fireplace pilot light was on and made the room a little too hot. This is July so maybe they should turn them off. I'm sure we could have called the front desk but we were only staying one night and I didn't really want to talk to the staff. We had dinner at the lodge and I have to say they make a mean burger! The server was great! The next morning we had breakfast at the coffee shop and the food was good. The barista was kind of rude to us and some other guests. Our server was polite but not too friendly. We checked out the gift shop and we loved it. Not what we expected. Good quality stuff and good prices! The clerk was really nice and helpful. I can't remember her name but she's from California. Won't be staying here again. We will try a different lodge.

The staff was terrible. If you stay longer than 4 days, they schedule housekeeping only once during your stay. I requested service the day before we were scheduled, but no one came. Then no one tended to our room on our scheduled day! I had to call twice that night when we got back to the hotel and it was close to 10 pm before anyone came. It took them a really long time and they still didn't clean toilets, sinks, etc. They took all the kitchen towels, but didn't replace them. They didn't push the bed in properly after making it and the whole thing fell off the frame. We had to call them back at 11:30 to fix the bed. There is no a/c so we had to keep the windows open, which still left the living room area unbearably hot. The bedrooms faced the common area and there were people partying at the grills until midnight. We called to complain and were told that there were no quiet hours. The following day, I overheard another group complaining about the noise to the manager. He was very rude to them and refused to do anything about it. He told them they were the only ones complaining! People were complaining in the laundry room, as well. We were finally told that they could close the area down at 10 pm, but they didn't enforce it until our last night there. The jets in our bathtub were black with mold and we had to call housekeeping our first night there to come clean them. It took them an hour and they still weren't completely clean.

This place is for skiing but it is also open in the summer. Hence no air conditioner. The place is at high elevation and the room was nice. No stores nearby. Free internet at the lobby but non-free access from the room. Does not come with breakfast. The hotel has a restaurant, which should open at 8 am, but as of 930 it was not open. Recommend to get something at a grocery before getting there.

Everything seemed to be great, the room was good, beds were good, surrounding area is beautiful. Every time you turn on the TV the CEO of Diamond Resorts is touting how great they are and treat you like kings but what they neglect to tell you is we aren't going to make up you room until after 3 days. Even Motel 6 makes your bed. If that was the case then just let us know and leave enough coffee packets for three days. It ruined the experience for us.

Location is ideal for skiing, but a little off for everything else. Hotel staff is a but on the less polite, and less knowledgable side. Otherwise reasonably good quality accommodation. The rooms are large and spacious, but, overall dark. The kitchen and living room areas do not get any natural light, except for what comes through the rooms, if all doors are open.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay; excellent facilities, friendly and helpful staff. Room was one of the best I've ever stayed in. My only complaint was with the internet access. They did give me coupons to use the internet, so no additional charge as some have complained of in the past. The problem was that it is incredibly slow. I tried to watch programs on Netflix as well as other streaming video sights, but the download speeds were usually not enough. Netflix requires .50 mbps and recommends 1.5. The best I got from a few speed tests was .30. For what they charge for rooms, and the additional $5 per day resort fee, they need to do better. I've gotten better internet service in hotels I paid much less for. They said they were upgrading their internet access; let's hope they can get the speeds to at least 3 mbps. I don't think that's asking too much.

The place seems to be in a wonderful world of its own up in the mountains. The staff was awesome. Everything was really clean too. Very peaceful and scenic. I will be going back again as soon as I can. LOVED IT!!!!

We had a nice time and the Lodge was very nice. We live in southern Nevada and it is really hot at this time of year so we went to higher elevation for some relief from the heat. We had a little trouble with knowing how to work the shower, but the front desk helped with that. We would go back. The scenery was breathtaking.

The hotel was quite nice. It is a ski resort, and quite pretty. Arrived at midnight, so it gets very dark, specially if you are not familiar with the location. The front desk was manned by a lady who did not make eye contact, and did not smile. At all. I found that very rude - given that she is in the hospitality business, she should learn to be more hospitable. That gave us a poor start to our stay. However, other than that initial poor experience, the hotel was quite nice.

What looked like a nice place to stay turned out to be a disaster. Our 3rd floor room was seriously hot. Without AC, we tried opening the window and using the fan, with little relief. This place may be comfy in winter, but not in June. Heat was one problem, but the other would be year-round - the saggy mattress. Coupled with the overly stiff foam pillows, this bed was a nightmare; a horrible night's sleep. When I was asked at checkout how my stay had been, and I told the front office staff my complaints, their responses were "oh, you were on the third floor" (which being under the roof would presumably have been hotter), and "did you notify the front desk of your complaints last night?" - as though they would have brought me a new mattress and an AC (and also implying that because I had not called earlier, they were absolved of any responsibility). They did reimburse me for the $1.00 that the vending machine in the laundry room ate.

The hotel was very nice and clean but potential visitors should know it is located at 9,800' which can cause altitude problems such as headaches or worse if unaccustomed to this height. Both my husband and son had severe headaches despite drinking lots of water. One lives at sea level and the other at 5.000'.

This hotel had the best beds and wonderful pillows! The room was rustic and cozy with a nice fireplace. The pool was great. Our stay was in June so it was relatively empty and the surrounding area not populated. We stayed here traveling from Zion to Bryce and this was the only place we could book. It was out of the way but a gem unto itself. There is not much to do in the area in the summer except visit Cedar Breaks or go mountain biking. Cedar Breaks was very windy and cold... even in June but the hotel was fantastic and the staff very pleasant.

the hotel should advertise the difficult access roads. It is an older building. We object to the resort tax and the lack of wifi in rooms. Probably the worst accommodation we had during a 6 week trip.

Room was not made up on arrival. We were moved to another. Came back from a day of hiking, room was not made up. Contacted front desk and were told these units are "timeshares". Didn't see that coming.No where on their website does it say "timeshares". Came back from hiking the second day, we were locked out of our room. Front desk thought we checked out. Had to call for fresh towels each day. One ice machine for a three story building and that was behind an unmarked door. Wouldn't send someone there.

Generally, vacation ownership properties do not offer daily housekeeping services. We were looking for a room to book for one night. Either it wasn't clear this was a ski resort or I missed it. The drive was pretty but it had snowed and was a bit treacherous. We had accidentally booked the room a day out from when we were going to arrive. We called within 5 minutes to change the day and although the Expedia assistant was very helpful the hotel refused to let us change the day without charging us the full price of the day we booked accidentally. I would not go back here even if I did ski. By being so uncooperative they really created an upset in our travels.

I booked this on accident thinking it was between Zion and Bryce Canyon. What a pleasant surprise, when we got to the top of brian head and got snow in May. With no jackets and wearing flip flops, we made our way to the pool/ jacuzzi after a long day hiking at Zion. Get staff and a wonderful lodge.

Stayed here for 3 days, Sunday thru Tuesday for girlfriend's 50th birthday gift. Staff is great and very accommodating to special requests. Off season so there were not a lot of other guests on site. The lodge is beautifully appointed and easy to find. Close to may sites and national parks so a good place to stay for a base of operations. Restaurant is great. Every meal we had was perfectly prepared and presented. The service staff were very responsive and went above what you would expect to make the experience memorable. The location has great views of the mountains and slopes

We stayed in the main lodge with the indoor pool so our grandkids could enjoy. The kitchen suite was awesome with all the necessary supplies so I could cook dinner every night. There are very limited quality places to eat in Brian Head so I was so glad I brought meals with me (there is no real grocery store in Brian Head either so bring supplies with you). There are a couple of markets but no real produce or meat. The gift shop in the hotel has a few supplies and very inexpensive which was nice to see. I paid $2.00 for a small bottle of mustard and $1.00 for a razor I needed. The staff was very nice and would definitely come back for a return visit.

Everything was wonderful. The beds were comfortable, the kitchenette well supplied, and the bathroom well maintained. I would stay there again! It is very convenient for skiing at Brian Head.

The staff was wonderful and the rooms were great. Had a fireplace and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in.
