"Very New York"
Loved the hotel the area...Be careful with the parking. They charged me $25.00 for 1 night. This was not disclosed to me during check in. It just indicated to make sure you get validated...I did but not sure what the purpose of that was. If I would have known that parking would be as steep I would have parked on the street. Otherwise the Hotel was […] nice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Rooms were very very noisy, the doors did not close quietly but slammed loudly. Wood floors make for hearing every heel walking down the hall. Parking was $26.22 with tax instead of $16 and I did not have valet and the garage stairwell opens into an alley not into the hotel...very sketchy. Staff was not knowledgeable of the area. For $197 plus $26 parking […] a night I would stay somewhere else. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Hotel customer service"
As someone who's career is centered around customer service, I critique every where I go. This hotel had the best hotel customer service out of anywhere that I had been in years! Such a friendly staff and great rooms and so convenient to downtown. I will definitely stay here again!Genuine Expedia guest review
We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms and we got adjoining rooms so it was plenty of space. We will stay here next time the Colts have to whip the Titans.Genuine Expedia guest review
"If you are looking to stay in a college dorm..."
...then this is the place for you. Bean bag chairs? Seriously? This hotel is aimed apparently at 25 year-olds. It was noisey to boot. Wont stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was ready when we arrived 30 minutes before check< which was great. The front desk staff was very friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Uncomfortable, noisy and nothing was open"
I've never stayed at an Aloft but I heard good things. This one severely disappointed. Pros - Comfy bed, large room, EXCELLENT customer service and clean. On the weekend there's plenty of street parking. Cons - The bar and restaurant always seemed closed. The bartender was awful. The room is hardwood floors and empty so you feel uncomfortable and hear […] EVERYTHING. The shower is walk-in but not big enough so the water goes all over the bathroom floor. The water took forever to heat up. The bed only had two pillows so we had to request more. There was no movie rental channel just 50 channels of nothing to watch. Comfortable modern close to everything. Staff was very nice. Pool table in the lobby super fun!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not bad, but a bit disappointing"
I expected a better facility. The room was run down. The Aloft idea is to be kind of funky, but this was out of date and at $200/night I sure expected better. Had it been $90/night maybe I would have felt differently. Linens seemed very worn and the room didn't get dark due to the lit up facade. On the positive, staff was very friendly, the lobby was […] sort of cool and the location for Vandy and Downtown is quite good. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A bit sketchy"
Just average. Looks like a parking garage converted to a concrete hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not really worth the money..."
Not a bad hotel, per se. If you are in to the whole 'New York' feel, you will love it. Very contemporary design with a retro feel. The desk staff was very friendly, but the lobby was loud when we checked in and we found that to be annoying. For over the amount we paid per night, I would expect that the toilet seat would not be broken, the towel hooks […] would not be loose (so that your towels fall to the floor when hung up) or that the 'free' water bottles in the room would have been used by a previous guest. (For real!) I was also a bit surprised that while they did offer valet parking, there were no bell men to assist in unloading/loading bags or to get bags to/from the room. We were traveling with a pet so it was more than a bit frustrating to get into the hotel and to our rooms without assistance. We stayed at Aloft because it was an unexpected trip to Nashville on short notice and any other hotels that are pet-friendly were sold out due to Vanderbilt Homecoming. We will, most likely, continue to stay at the Loews on future trips. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Too far from downtown"
Room wasn't cleaned when we returned around 5 one day. Called front desk immediately to request towels and coffee for the next morning. When we returned later in the evening it still hadn't been taken care of. Had to call again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not for the business traveler"
Full of loud, obnoxious millennials partying with no regards to others. Must be because they're so "special". Not a good choice if you need your sleep for meetings or work the next day.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff was very helpful and nice. The facilities were very unique and inviting. The rooms were awesome and very clean. The valet is the way to go. These guys are so nice and helpful. We took our dogs (Yorkies) and everyone was very welcoming to them also. We will diffinetly stay her again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"STAY AT HUTTON"
Staff here is great and attentive, people that stay here not so much. This is THE place to be if you're an inconsiderate millennial or lonely frat boy/sorority girl visiting your friends at Vandy. Don't stay here if you have legitimate business and need your sleep - it's a loud, rude place full of kids spending daddy's money who think cheap bean bags, […] house music in the lobby and colorful wallpaper is "like, ohmagod! like, soooooooo cool!" "Aloft never disappoints"
We came to Nashville for a concert at the Bridgestone Arena, which is a short cab ride down the street. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly, particularly Jamie, who checked us in. She asked me for my Starwood Preferred Guest number so I could get points at the bar, and she gave us an amazing room with a great view of downtown. She also gave us a […] good restaurant recommendation for some local flavor in walking distance - The Row. Truly a great way to end our weeklong vacation. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"good hotel for location and price."
the setting is a little too modern for my taste however the staff and general cleanliness made up for it. my only negative is the walls between rooms are paper thin. not a good thing when there is a college football game in town and students are packed in the rooms on either side of you. but generally a good hotel for the price and its location relative […] to that area. "Great Location to Vanderbilt Stadium"
Friendly staff and helpfulGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I have stayed here twice for business. Love the new renovation- really fun. But, mostly, I have to say that the people/ staff have always been SO NICE! Super friendly and accommodating and the valet is always quick and helpful!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Usually I really like the Aloft hotels. I've stayed in a few across the US and Canada. This one seems a bit older than the others, which is definitely not a bad thing. Our room was like an actual loft space, something that the airport Alofts have not been able to capture in my opinion. The GOOD: Location is great, we had a spacious room, there was a […] Fatboy bean bag in the room for loungin'! The BAD: Our room was right next to the stairway door and it was LOUD for sure. Power lines ran right in front of the window view. The parking situation is grim unless you want to pay approx $25 a day for valet. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"ok but questionable value"
tries to be too modern/hip - beanbag in room, really? how about a bathroom door that has some sound dampening effects to it. and $24 for self park is crazy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel for young folks"
As the parents of Vanderbilt students, this was not the right hotel for us. The staff was pleasant, but this was clearly a hotel focused towards a younger crowd, from the beanbag chairs in the room to the loud music in the lobby. I would have loved it in high school or college.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nashville three night run"
I have stayed at many of the alofts and this one is an older hotel that's been revamped. Cool vibes and a DJ and drinks after 5. The location ( west end ) is a block from Vandy and a $5 cab ride to Broadway.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, wonderful staff!"
I booked this hotel for business trip with some leisure mixed in. It was located in a fun part of town with lots to do and the hotel staff were all amazing especially, Steven who I usually found in the cafe. "Good location and big room."
We were visiting Vanderbilt and this hotel is 4 blocks from the campus edge, and a few blocks or less from many good restaurants and night spots. The staff is great, and the rooms are big, but the concept is odd. The first impression upon entering the lobby is not particularly (for us) positive, but the room was big, clean and quiet at a competitive […] price. Don't expect the same level and scale as nearby Loew's. They appear to be targeting some demographic that they perceive as "edgy", but a pool table in the middle of the lobby, a sparsely-furnished "lounge" with live music 'til 7:30pm and during Sunday brunch time ends up dominating the space. They also do NOTHING to promote, or even make known to guests, that they have a kitchen that makes breakfast besides the self-serve, grab and go area. No signs in elevator, nothing in room, nada! Too bad, because the breakfast was decent and reasonably priced. The beanbag chairs in the rooms are a joke and look horrible, besides being tough to sit in, especially if they get an unsuspecting older guest. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Aloft Was Great"
This was the first place I stayed on a long relocation trip and it was easily the best out of 4 or 5 different hotels I stayed in. The room was a 6th floor corner suite with hardwood floors, a king bed and a cool view of the street and city below. It was very clean, had a very modern feel to it with nice touches like a safe in the room that was big […] enough for my 15.6" laptop. The style of this hotel is very 'hip' but not overbearingly so -- it is a fun place. It recently underwent a renovation and I was pretty impressed with the overall quality feel.. I felt like i was getting a lot for my money. The staff was very friendly, and there is a parking garage attached, with direct access to the building. This was a big deal for me because I was carrying all my worldly possessions in a van and did not want to park on the street. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the West End that are within walking distance. The ones I went to were very good. The breakfast place across the street is awesome. No wake up call and i missed my flight. Horrible day.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a transitional phase and it is not as smooth as it will be in the future. However, once again the staff works very hard to get it right. There is a lot of cool art work throughout the hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Urban feel. Best for your money. Great staff!"
I booked this hotel to surprise my husband for our anniversary. Since we can't afford much, this hotel was the right price and I got pretty much what I expected. The unexpected part was when the front desk upgraded my King to a suite for no extra charge after I told them it was for an anniversary. Great service!Genuine Expedia guest review
"My Night in Nashville"
This was supposed to be a fun, exciting, and overal relaxing night in Nashville. This hotel is supposed to be "chic, alternative, and contemporary". Well, let me tell you about my room, and the staff. I was traveling alone on business with an overnight stay in Nashville. The room had 2 queen beds. When I pulled back the covers on one bed, there were […] short curly, and long dark hairs in the "clean" sheets. The next bed seemed clean, so I decided to just stay in the room and get some sleep. There is carpet around bedding and hardwood flooring on the rest of the room. The wooden floor was very sticky. My shoes stuck to the floor with every step I took. It did not smell clean in there either. The bathroom floor was dirty. It was such a hassle to check in, park my car in the garage, and get one of two luggage carts to get my stuff up to my room I did not want to hassle with getting another room. The noise was horrible all night. Very noisy throughout the night. So, in the morning when I was checking out, I told the woman at the front desk about the condition of my room and the noise. She did not say - I'm sorry, let me get the manager, why didn't you tell us earlier - nothing. She did not even acknowledge my complaint, only handed me my receipt, smiled, and went on to the next customer. Very unprofessional. I will be writing a letter to the manager of the hotel. It probably won't do any good. I won't be staying there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Overall A good Experience"
The Room Was Clean And The Bed Very Comfortable. The Walls Are Very Thin So Noise From Adjoining Rooms Is A Problem. The Bathroom Door Is Louvered Resulting In No Privacy. Unique Atmosphere With A City And Upbeat feel.Genuine Expedia guest review
The stay was good for a last minute reservation, Would like to have laundry facilities. Customer service at front desk was like they didn't care and gave us wrong directions. The valet parking guys were excellent. They knew more than the girl at the front deskGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Huge modern style room. Close to downtown in Nashville for best price. Only problem was noisy group next door so clerk didn't charge us for parking at check out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect location, great service!"
Our stay was wonderful, very pleasant experience! The parking garage was an added bonus instead of trying to drive around and find parking at the stores, I just left the car at Aloft and was able to walk to some of the places. It's only about a mile away from the arena and music row. Loved it!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"We loved this hotel"
We stayed at the Aloft for the Nashville CMA Fest. The hotel was great! Hip, clean, comfortable room with a great bed, beautiful egyptian cotton sheets. The staff helpful, pleasant and friendly. Its got a nice bar, convenient snacks and breakfast for sale. And its in a good location - 15-20 mins walk from the centre which suited us fine.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Shabby chic failure .. not worth what we paid!"
was really disappointed with this stay overall. The good .. the size of the rooms is great.. beds comfortable and The location was great. The staff were all very nice and attentiveThe bad .. the hotel is in some state of the slowest renavation I have ever experienced. The lobby is furnished with cheap furnishings and minimalist decor. I understand the […] urban look the hotel is going for is shabby chic but it comes off cheap and cheesy and is a Epic fail. This cheap and referbished look continues through out the hotel and rooms. The ULGY.. the place is dirty.. the halls are unvacumed and there was trash that remined unpicked up for over 3 nights. The stairwell smells like a homeless shelter and the parking garage had furniture, matresses, bed frames, lamps and Lots of Trash strewn around on every level. They also charge you $18 a day.. for the privilege of parking in the above decribed garage / homeless shelter. "A work in progress"
Minor complaints, and I hope they can all be contributed to the construction. Little things like coffee maker and wifi were not working (no wonder they were complimentary). Also, the set-up of the bathroom was a bit bizarre, as the shower had no door. This had the voyeuristic quality of seeing yourself shower...until the mirror fogged up and was unusable […] for shaving, putting in contacts, etc. I will say, though, that the staff was very kind and the bed was incredibly comfortable, so this work in progress has hope yet! "Great hotel, no privacy in bathroom"
This hotel is great, very modern and clean lobby, nice front desk staff, comfy and clean rooms. The only issue (well-documented in previous reviews) is that the bathroom doors are slatted, so there's no actual privacy when you're in there, and the shower has no door - again no privacy. So just make sure you're very comfortable with the person staying […] in the room with you! But otherwise great hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
