Brought my wife and son down to Houston to go to the Russian Consulate and stayed at the Hotel Indigo. Liked the price and the promotional photo's. It did not disappoint. Breakfast was not included but was still very good and worth the price. Next trip to Houston, we'll stay there again.

Hotel needs a little love to replace some worn spots. I stayed in a room on the mall side and it was VERY loud from trucks loading and unloading most of the night. Clean and comfy bed. Great location. Awesome Tex Mex local restaurant right down the block.

The staff was friendly and really helpful (let us check in before noon). The room was clean, classy, and relaxing. You can't beat the location and FREE PARKING!! It was great for a romantic weekend with my wife. We will definitely be back.

Great Hotel! Small, clean and good location. Ample rooms. Food and guest attention was good. Maybe restuarant should have more options. Do not spect a grand hotel. But it is a very good option to do business or shoping in the Galleria Area.

We've now stayed at two Hotel Indigo locations (Houston and San Antonio) and have come away impressed each time. Very sleek, very modern hotel with nice ammenities. The beds are comfortable, the room is small, but very functional with the right amount of understated class to make it very worth your while. The hotel was in a great location near I59 South. It was very clean and the staff was friendly. The only thing I didn't care for was that there was no port cohere and no bellman to help unload my bags. I was alone and had to unload my bags in the rain and get my car parked. This was our 2nd stay at the Indigo. We have family who live in Houston and the hotel is easy access to their home as well as the Galleria shopping area. We found the staff to be very friendly and their service was excellent. Our breakfast was provided with our reservation and the food was cooked to order and plentiful. The room was clean although we […] did have to ask for soap, shampoo, etc. on the 3rd day of our stay as it had not been replaced. The bed was a tad bit hard and the air conditioner was loud whenever it kicked on. And the bed was high and difficult for me to get in and out of and I am not short (5'6"). My husband was particularly happy that the parking was free. The building and the parking lot are located behind another building and not visible from the street as well as being well lit, so we felt that the area was not a high security risk. We have stayed at 2 other hotels in the Houston area but would choose to go back to the Indigo over those other hotels. Read more

Great location for touring Houston. Good parking but tight for Texas Trucks. First rooms AC froze over ( but not till 3:30 AM ) and went into defrost making very load pops. Changed rooms next night and AC was OK but floor was loose and shifting. Staff were freindly and very helpful. Restaurant breakfast was very good.

The Indigo was the perfect location for shopping and dining the Houston Galleria area. The hotel is beautifully decorated and professionally run. We asked for a mini-refrigerator and it was brought up to our room immediately. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Parking is free and convenient.

The walls are a little thin for a light sleeper like my wife but did not bother me. They were redoing the parking lot next door. I will be returning because the staff was awesome. The location for houston was great.

I saw a review that said this hotel wouldn't be good for a "guy's trip" and I would tend to agree with that. It's a bit on the feminine side, but still very charming and very clean and nice. I travel a bit for work and I am so tired of seeing a poor quality standard definition signal being displayed on an HDTV so it looks even worse (stretched, blurry). Standard definitions signals still look best on standard definition TVs, so I appreciate that Hotel Indigo has (at least for now) decided to wait until they can provide an HD signal to their rooms before upgrading their TVs. I spent 2 days with my daughter for a weekend of shopping at the Galleria. Everything was very nice, staff was pleasant and helpful. They were able to get a microwave in my room at short notice as my daughter is on a special diet and must bring her own food. The Galleria is just around the corner. We also took a short walking tour to see the "water […] wall" which was several blocks away-it was spectacular. We would not have known about it if it weren't for the front desk clerk telling us about it. This was my second time with this hotel and we had an excellent experience both times. Read more

With the variety of options in Houston, the Indigo was a nice welcome retreat from the standard venue. The rooms were modern, very clean and the staff was super responsive. The TV's were a little outdated (no HD flat screens), but I survived. Free internet was also a plus. I will surely return.

I decided to surprise my husband with a trip to Houston, and I chose to stay at this hotel. It appeared to be very nice, and it was the only hotel around The Galleria that had free parking. I must say that it was a great choice! The building itself had a great appearance, and the lobby area was very clean and welcoming. Check in was at 3, but we arrived […] 1 and they had no problem letting us check in early. The halls were nice, bright, spacious, and clean. The room was very nice. I loved the wetbar area, and the shower was VERY spacious! The bed.....oh the bed!! It was SO comfortable! We slept very well! We did not utilize the amenities such as the restaurant./bar area. The WiFi kind of sucked. We were using it on our phones, and we had to sign in repeatedly. The business center was nice. The gym was small and could use more hand weights. The area around the hotel was very nice. We had no safety concerns. The entrance to Nordstrom at The Galleria is less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel which was a perk! Overall, the hotel was great. There were some very minor cons, but they were not a deal breaker. I would stay here again! Read more

Nice hotel, but very hard bed and small sitting chair in room. The room is a break from normal hotel furnishings, but is not that comfortable. Hard floors and hard beds are not a good combination. There was also no room service/food menu in the room. Finally, only one of two elevators was working, making for long waits during busy times.

We stayed in the "Presidential Suite" for 3 nights. It wasn't really what we expected. There was only one bathroom, and everyone had to go thru the bedroom to get to it. The shower was very weird...it was glass enclosed, but open on one side, so that when you took a shower, the floor got FLOODED. This obviously used to be some other hotel and was crudely transformed into the Indigo. Poor workmanship in everything from the bathroom shower to the flooring. The non HD TV was listed as having HBO and other premium channels, but in fact did not have anything other than basic cable channels. I like the overall vibe of the hotel. It's more casual a place than it appears on the pictures online. I read other reviews for this hotel that mentioned room cleanliness, but I thought these were isolated incidents and decided to give the place a chance for an overnight stay that we had planned. We were a bit grossed out that the tile floor of the […] oversized stand up shower, which consisted of mini tiles that were about a square inch each, had grout lines between the tiles that were very dirty, to the point that we laid down a towel when showering to avoid stepping directly on them. Instead of being white, the grout lines were brownish tan. I've never experienced a hotel bathtub/ shower that dirty before. We have the same shower floor at home and it has never gotten that dirty. Just to make sure that it was in fact dirty (and not dark colored grout) I was able to scrub a small area of the grout clean. Also, we called ahead to let the hotel know that we would be checking in around 6pm and were assured that it was okay. But when we got to the room, instead of the king bed room that I booked, there were 2 full size beds. We called downstairs but were told that ours was the only room left. My wife and I returned to Hotel Indigo in celebration of a recent important happening. It had been one of our post-wedding stops, and we loved it nearly 3 months ago, so we decided it was time to return and enjoy again. This time, however, we were a little disappointed. The kitchen staff was not nearly as friendly or accommodating; the food was not […] as delicious; the drinks were not nearly as strong--which made it more difficult this time to accept the fact that they're overpriced. Then to top it off, the fire alarm sounded at 3:00am! While frantically getting dressed t o rush out, we decided to first try calling the front desk. In the midst of this, the alarm stopped and after about 10 minutes of trying, the front desk clerk answered and reported, "You know how you signed that form saying you wouldn't smoke in your room? Well someone was smoking in their room." I accepted this answer just long enough to hang up, then the question hit me. If you want the front desk to be alerted that someone is smoking in their room, why not have an alarm sound JUST AT THE FRONT DESK, not throughout the entire hotel like there's an actual fire??? Or at the very least let that no smoking clause include a warning that smoking in the room will sound such an alarm. Otherwise people assume it's just a policy and no one will actually know. I'm not blaming the hotel for the guest's violation of the policy. But I am blaming the hotel for making all hotel guests suffer for one guest's indiscretion. Either way, Hotel Indigo holds fond memories and this will not keep us away. It's still a quaint little boutique hotel with a different feel from the usual cookie cutter chains. Read more

Hotel staff at front desk were not the friendliest - they acted a little bored. The bartender was great! Rooms and lobby were super cute and everything was very clean and nice except the shower floor. Will definitely recommend to others.
