We got what we paid for. The hotel was a long walk from the trainstation. The complymentary transportation to the airport was not available on the weekend. Very, very small room..... staff doesn't speak English at all and they are always very busy. You have to pay or the Internet and parking. One good thing is beer and you can drink it downstairs :)

The hotel was not quite as close to the airport as I had anticipated, but it was only 17 minutes by taxi - not bad. The staff was very accomodating and made sure that we had a taxi at 4:00 a.m. to be in time for our flight. The cleanliness of the hotel and the room were perfect.....Top marks !!

Overall, we were pleased with the hotel. The one issue was that the room was very warm even after we turned off the heat and opened the window, The noise from the nearby main street was high until late at night. Since the window had to stay open for cooling, we had to endure the noise.

The close proximity of the airport and autobahn make this location convenient for a lot of travelers. For us, it was a stark contrast to the peaceful rural settings that we had enjoyed the previous two nights. Your ability to sleep will be dependent on how you handle busy traffic. The hotel was very nice and in a convinient location. There were restaurants near the hotel and the breakfast was great. The room was comfortable. our purpose for going to Stuttgart was to see the Mercedes Benz Museum with the whole family so we expected to be into town and out the next morning. The hotel is not close to the museum, but since we had a car and a GPS, the distance from the museum (about 15km) was not an issue. Though not the purpose of the review, we highly recommend the Mercedes […] Benz museum as a good place to go as part of a family outing - we spent 6 hours there listening and watching the various exhibits before the museum closed for the night. The people at the Holiday-Inn Express were very friendly and helpful, ready to offer help with where to eat and booking our next night's hotel for our flexible itinerary. The hotel is near enough to the airport, yet we didn't hear any planes throughout the stay with the windows closed. Breakfast that is included with the hotel was perfect for a European continental breakfast with choices if breads, cereals, cheese, some cold cuts, coffee, teas, juices, etc that our children had no problem finding something that they liked to eat. On the whole, the hotel was clean, economical, friendly and it fit our family of 4 in a standard room (with a little snugness) - and that just suited us fine. It isn't a luxury hotel and doesn't pretend to be. It perfect for the wayfarer on the way between two destinations, as we found with all holiday in express hotels in Germany. If you are a formula-1 or Ibis kind of person, consider this a nice upgrade. Read more

We stayed on way back from skiing holiday over festive season. Hotel is just of the main motorway in quart surrounding. Hotel was tidy and net. Room was good size and well equipped. Only sugestion is to have more pillows. One pillow per Pearson is not enough. Breakfast fantastic with good varaity of everything . Sure will stay again.

The area is commercial. There is no real restaurant in the area and the hotel has none. The walk to town is ca. 20 minutes, too far. Also the shuttle to the airport does not run on weekends though hotel charges the same 4Euros for a taxi.
