Hotel is pretty much in the middle of nowhere but was perfect for my purpose. Workout room was great after a long day of traveling. Breakfast was wonderful! The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and courteous.

Hello, I enjoyed my stay at this property, it was close to Wal-mart, Ruby Tuesdays, Olive garden, fuel and shops. The pool was nice and the breakfast was good. The eggs seemed processed and the biscuits were a bit dry. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Crystal River the first three days and a great gal named Mary was the chef, the breakfast there […] was excellent. They had scrambled eggs one day and the next was mini omletes. The Inn in Inverness should fix the eggs like the Crystal River location, it would improve the breakfast and the choices. I even saw a big turtle in the contaiment pond on the side of the hotel. I enjoyed my stay and will stay there again on my next visit. Read more

Toni at the front desk was great. It is so nice (and rare) to find quality places to stay that are still pet friendly, as we like to bring our 2 small dogs with us rather than leaving them at a kennel. Front desk people very helpful and nice. We stayed 10 days while cleaning out house. We had our sheets changed only once and only because I stripped the bed. The air conditioner was very old and kept us up 3 nights. Maintenance put in new air conditioner but it also was noisy. Refrigerator was warm and maintenance said they are all that way, had to […] throw out milk. Bed was comfortable. They put us in a handicapped room and it felt very small, except for bathroom. The breakfast was fantastic and the kitchen staff was very nice. Room was great stayed cool. When I left in the morning I saw them cleaning a room.. the matress was moved and furniture was moved for good thorough cleaning. It was reassuring to see.

The pillows provided for the king sized bed were sized for a single bed. Holiday Inn needs to provide proper sized pillows for king sized bed. Misffit made sleeping very uncomfortable.Hotel staff and services were otherwise good.

I enjoyed it very much. The only complaint I have is that there are no vending machines with cookies and/or candy. Since I do not drive I wasn't able to get to a store to buy things. People have cravings during the day and would like some snacks.

Breakfast was disappointing. Hotel staff person handling the breakfast was not helpfull or friendly. Was told by Expedia person that the Gulf was 2 miles away which was not true. It was over 15 miles.

We have been staying in this hotel a lot because we need to be in the area to care for an elderly parent. Each visit is the same....GREAT from check in to check out! The beds are comfortable, the room is fresh and clean. The employees seem to take pride in what they do.

If you find yourself needing a hotel in this area please do not choose any other hotel. The location was perfect for our needs. Check in was a breeze, they gave us a room on a higher floor and when we requested the 1st floor with 2 queens instead of a king, that too was no problem. The room was fresh and clean, no need for air freshener or pillows from […] home. We felt we could walk around barefoot. The beds were comfy and the sheets were soft. The flat screen TV was nice the only thing missing were movie channels (they did offer HBO), it would have been nice to relax with a pay movie. The bath was a nice surprise with granite counters and plenty of towels. The water pressure was great too. The wet bar with fridge, microwave, and coffee maker was perfect. In the morning we went to the free breakfast buffet, they had everything from Bacon & eggs to sausage biscuts & gravy, plus so much more. For a self serve breakfast it was kept well stocked and clean. They even had TV for your viewing pleasure. We look forward to returning this week as we are caring for an elderly parent and need a clean quiet place to rewind after a long day. Read more

Management is horrible. We thought we were booking the Crystal River Holiday Inn but when we arrived we found out that we actually were booked at the Inverness facility. Management would not transfer our reservation so we ended up paying for two rooms, one in Inverness and one in Crystal River. How about that for customer service! Being a former Director of Facilities of one of the top tier Hotel's groups in the World! This small hotel and staff far exceeded my expectations including my stays at the Ritz Carlton. The staff not only was attentive, courtous and well manner but I received a phone from them inquiring if I needed any help in directions to thier hotel the day before […] I was due to arrive! I have heard that hotels often put customers, who have obtained their rooms via the internet discounters, into their worst rooms. This was definitely one of the worst rooms in the hotel. We were in the room right next to the elevator, ice and vending machine. All day and night a motor would turn on about every 5 minutes and would run for about 1 minutes. […] Very annoying!! We stayed at The Holiday Inn Express in Inverness. Although I didn't find the bed comfortable, the room was immaculate and we had a suite that was spacious and comfortable. The staff at the hotel was wonderful. We wanted to take a nap after a long day and something kept cycling on and off. We thought it was the air conditioner, but it wasn't. Called […] the front desk and she went looking for the sound. She called me 5 min. later to tell me the dryers in the laundry were cycling and she turned them all off for the night. Sooooo helpful!!!!!! Also a housekeeper was kind enough to take me to my room after I left my pillow there and told me they keep lost items for 30 days if I found that I left anything else. The hotel is simple. Our first room smelled of smoke despite it being advertised as a non-smoking facility. The kicker was that I found three burn holes from a cigarette in the comforter (fresh burns) so the housekeeper should have noticed if they couldn't smell it (which was hard not to). However, I always say it is what is done about a bad situation […] rather than the situation itself and let me say the staff at this hotel (front desk) are WONDERFUL! They immediately gave me a room next door that was CLEAN and smoke free and still kept us near the rest of our family. The staff as mentioned above were great- they are really down to earth and friendly and offer GREAT directions, advice on where to eat, and ideas. They were so fun and we really enjoy them. A special thanks to the front desk gentleman who sent us to Cattle Dog for the BEST COFFEE ever! Thank you! this is very new and the service at desk was wonderful. Hotel is on main road that takes you to the bike trail ride about 15 min to get to. Hotel let us stay on first floor for the convenice of keep bike in room for safe keeping. We were assigned a room on the second floor and when we got in we noticed a dehumidifier as well as an odor of wetness. We mentioned to the front desk and they said that that floor had moisture problems. Due to our schedule we stayed the night but in the morning we requested another room and they upgraded us to a wonderful suite on the third floor.
