Through in-house spas, many lodging properties take full advantage of Desert Hot Springs’ best asset: mineral waters warmed by the earth. Homesteader Cabot Yerxa discovered the geothermal waters in 1913 while searching for potable water. Yerxa’s other legacy is the 35-room adobe mansion he built by hand. The home, now known as Cabot’s Pueblo Museum, is open for tours.

"Needs Improvement"

This Hotel definitely needs improvement! The location it was in was kinda scary. The only nice thing about the hotel was the pool. The TV in the room was the older than my grandma. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Never Stay Here"

This was a less than 1 star hotel and it was very disappointing. We had several problems. We will never stay here and will not recommend it to anyone. Even the remodel area was a big let down.

"Needs a face lift"

Needs a desperate facelift... The restroom/bathtub had mildew. Had the room for 1 night and was considering just driving back home. Would never stay there again or recommend.

The Agua Caliente Hotel & Spa is making every effort to upgrade the hotel and is just finishing renovations on a third of the hotel's guest rooms with new wall coverings, carpeting, soft goods, new tiled bathrooms and new furnishings. Whenever possible the hotel has upgraded our Hotels.com & Expedia Guests to our newly nenovated rooms even though our non-renovated rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The new On-site restaurant should be opening in mid May for the convenience of the guests. An excellent 24 hour staff is always available to resolve any guest issues and complaints. The Agua Caliente's objective is to offer the finest accommodations and service in the Palm Springs Area.

Hotel is under renovation. However, it does not excuse the lack of the usual amenities, such as a blow dryer, mirror, iron, etc. Also, the "spa" facility is only open Friday and Saturday (found out too late!). Bedding was old and tattered, and the TV would not work and it took 2 days of complaining to finally get another one put in the room. On the plus side, the garden area is very nice.
