No big deal but if you use a debit card, they put hold charge of $100 immediately on card. Then will take 3-7 business days for the hold to be removed. Decent hotel downtown. Only available parking close is in Municipal Auditorium/KC Convention Center Garage, $2.00 every 15 mins, or $12 max per day, until you leave, and then it repeats when you come back. This is a historic hotel in the area, built in the 1920's. If you're looking for a modern place with a big room, you might be better served by one of the other hotels in the area. The bathroom was small, and if you're taller than 5'5", the shower will even be uncomfortable. Location is great for the KC Convention Center, and isn't far from the Power & Light District where there's food and drink. There's nothing really /close/ to the hotel to eat, though. Parking was a bit of a pain. There's no drive-up loop to pull into so that you can check in. This was a great location to the Country Club Plaza, as well as, driving to other area attractions. Staff was great! Room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. Shuttle to the Power and Light was nice, (not sure if that distance is typical) but was for the tournament. Taxi cab back was $12.00. Would stay here again for sure!!

room was extremly small. bathroom wasnt very clean. still hard hairs from previous stay on toilet and shower. in a few of the grouting around shower tile was mold. sunday morning went to the restaraunt for breakfast. couldnt order from menu. only had a buffet. basically $15 for a very poor expanded continential breakfast. food was cold.

The lobby and bar of the hotel are quite lovely - very interesting/trendy decor. Upon initial arrival to our room we thought the room was awesome, but a closer inspection proved otherwise - the bathroom mirror had paint on it, the carpet was thin and, most importantly, the bed was extremely uncomfortable - quite possiabiily the worse bed I have ever […] slept in. To make matters worse, when we turned off the lights to go to bed, we realized that light was shinning through the air vent - further inspection reveiled that the air vent directly connected to the hallway outside our room, so everytime someone(s) walked by we could hear them like they were standing in our room. However, there were problems with the air ducts in our room/floor that caused a 'wheezing' noise that was not conducive to a good night's sleep, in addition to one section of blinds being broken and another section not providing a 'dark enough' option for a light sleeper […] to sleep in. My boyfriend and I recently made a trip to Kansas City for a concert at the Sprint Center. We chose the Aladdin for his unique style and location. The room was smaller than I expected but extremely nice with a very modern decor. The walk from our hotel to the concert only took about 5 minutes. I'd definitely stay again!
