The smoking area just off the elevator on the 3rd floor was absolutely horrendous!!! I choked my way down to the room several times. Why on earth would you put smoking and non-smoking rooms on the same floor?? In addition, why would you put non-smoking rooms where you have to go through such terrible smoke to get to the non-smoking room? Smoking has […] decreased over the years so why would you give so many rooms over to it? That's nuts. Also one of the sheets had a hole in it and did not stay on the bed after sleeping for an hour. Elastic needs to be replaced. The woman who helped us check in was nice, but not overly hospitable in her attitude. She told us about many things, but maybe it was her voice, or the fact that she hardly looked at me while she was talking. If it hadn't been for the fellow who drove us to the airport, we wouldn't have had a breakfast bag she told us we could have. I strongly recommend you do something about the smoke in the facility. Perhaps it is in the ventilation system. Wherever the problem is, fix it!!! Read more

This was a great location for a weekend of Skiing at Blue Mountain. Good free breakfast at the hotel. 25 minute drive to the mountain, all on empty local roads, no busy highways. Restaurant just across the parking lot, PJ's, was great for dinner, popular with the locals. Starbucks across the street.

Room was clean and tidy. Very comfortable beds, pillows, and clean white comforter. Breakfast was ok. My friend forgot her razor and the front desk gave us one and some shaving cream for free. Staff was very welcoming and accommodating. This was my second stay here and both times the experience was great. Highly recommended!

The hotel was great and there is a lot of restaurants right around the hotel which in great when you've worked all day and just want to grab a bite to eat quick and head back to your hotel. My room had two double beds and was very spacious, nicely appointed and clean. Amenities, including breakfast buffet were great. The hotel is situated off the main road so it is quiet. Hotel looked relatively new, so most things were in excellent shape. Bed was a little too soft/springy for me. Sheets felt damp, like the room was too humid, even with the A/C on. The room was a tad smaller than I am used to, but very clean and quiet. The hotel staff was very friendly. Close to the Interstate, the airport, and to shopping/dining. All in all, a nice place to stay when you find yourself in the Bethlehem/Allentown area.

Waste of water by doing their laundry everyday. We stayed over the weekend and our sheets did not to be changed everyday, probably the same thing applies to the towels. If they are hung up leave them, but if they are on the floor...launder them.

For a family of 6 it is often hard to find a room that fits all of us together. This room fit all of us comfortably and lived up to the description. The breakfast was terrific and all of us got plenty of breakfast food. We did not have time to enjoy the pool, but it looked very nice.

I travel a bit across the World and this Holiday Express has earned my return business if I am ever in the Allentown area again. Staff was beyond kind, professional, and ready to support whatever I needed. They helped with faxes; printing out documents; Internet services (which were very free and very easy to use); and even an out-of-the way shuttle […] trip to a local business meeting. The hotel amenities were well suited for the business traveler (free and easy to access wireless Internet; free buffet breakfast with hot and cold items; a business office with a working printer; and again a staff that supported additional needs). Furthermore, the gym went beyond ordinary... it had two well cushioned trendmills, and multiple high quality machines that were enough to do a workout circuit. The room itslef was well thought out, with space to spare, and functional from hair dryer to seperate sink and mirror and shower areas. The bed was quite comfortable. The room noise was very low. The hotel's location was close to Allentown airport, and also within walking distance to a few decent places to eat and pick up the bare essentials (I believe a Walgreens was across the street). This is a beautiful hotel with the great front desk staff and a very nice complimentary breakfast in the morning, including some of the best scrambled eggs I've had at a hotel. The staff was very courteous. Our room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. We were very satisfied with our stay. The only complaint I have is having to walk past the smoking rooms to get to the non-smoking rooms. The hall in that area just reeked of cigarettes.
