No surprises at this Holiday Inn Express. The room was large and the beds were OK, not great. The breakfast was reasonable, but as with most such breakfasts, is not going to win any awards :-)

Mattresses needed to be replaced. We could feel the springs. Made for a very uncomfortable 2 nights. Breakfast staff was overwhelmed. One person to prepare the food and set it out. Line was backed up and she could not keep up. Felt terrible for her. Overall, however, the hotel staff was great.

Staff was friendly & helpful. They also baked cookies throughout the day which was nice. The pool however was extra cold & over chlorinated. Spa was overcrowded as a result. A pretty good hotel complimentary breakfast included pancakes & cinnamon rolls which were a huge plus.

I really liked the location, since it was close to all the sights, restaurants and shops galore, and so close to the beach, without paying the "on the beach" price. We loved walking past all the shops on the way to the beach. The complimentary buffet breakfast was great, too. If you have kids, the pool is a great plus.

Hotel was great! Hidden costs??? These costs were not a lot of money but the original quoted rate creeped up to where i feel it was still a good deal but would have like to known total cost up front. Hotels.com gave me a accurate price till I checked my bank and noticed a additional 1.00 charge which no one mentioned and Holiday inn express charged […] my account 10.00 which no one mentioned. Again not big numbers but a little communication goes a long way. I would stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Seaside, Ore again no question. Read more

The hotel looks amazing on first glance but found the rooms to be somewhat average. The "gym" was 2 treadmills and a bike and the pool area was clean but on the small side and the jacuzzi was hot but the jets were less than impressive. Overall the hotel was nice I really liked the morning breakfast with real food options like eggs and biskets and gravy […] as well as yogurt and fruits. The room fridge was large in comparison to most hotels. It had a veggie bin and egg holder along w 2 shelves. The only real complaint I had was the bathroom wasn't clean. We enjoyed a pleasant overnight stay. Comfortable room and nice staff. Located close to touristy shopping along Broadway and close to the beach. Weather wasn't good in early December, but Seaside seemed like a very nice place for vacationing during the summer.

Checked in and had asked in advance to a quiet room due to my wife being a very light sleeper but they gave us a room on the main floor close to the front desk and that just wouldn't work so off to the front desk to get a room change, they gladly switched us to another room but this time by the elevator , noisy again so back […] down for another switch, this time i spoke with Joemal and he stepped up and upgraded us to a suite with a jacuzzi tub !!! That was service above and beyond what was expected. I must say both Joemal and David did their best to make us feel at home. All the rooms were very clean and well furnished. Location was close to the beachfront & restaurants. Breakfast was very good and Sona took good care of us at breakfast. We'd stay there again in the future. Read more

Housekeeping was fine and the room was quite good. The front desk staff was very disappointing. For some reason both of our keys were deactivated after the first night even though we had paid upfront for two nights. The staff claimed we must have done something to the keys to deactivate (maybe one of the keys, but both?). Even if guests are crazy the […] front staff usually should just fix the problem and not the blame. Not very professional. Also, for some reason the plastic covers on the cinnamon rolls were kept on when put under the warmer. This is very unsafe since the plastic of the covers can permeate the rolls and give them a plastic-y taste, plus you end up "eating" plastic. Took one bite and threw out. Would have told the staff but they were the same ones that accused of us ruining our keys. On the upside, people don't eat the rolls so you don't have to buy so many. Read more

I enjoyed our stay very much. There was one thing I didn't like: the water was too cold in the pool. My 3 year old actually got sick after swimming. :( The service otherwise was great, the staff friendly and helpful.

This hotel is conveniently located between Astoria and Cannon Beach. About 15-25 minute drive to Ecola State Park which I strongly recommend you check out. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express with our 3 year old twins and very much enjoyed our 4 day vacation. Our room was large, with 2 queen beds and a small separate sitting area that we used as a play space for the kids. It was clean and the staff was nice. We made sure to choose a hotel with a pool and hot tub on site and we spent a lot of time swimming. […] The pool area is open 24 hours (until 10pm for children), which is different than many hotels we have stayed at. It was nice to be able to swim with the kids a bit later to tire them out and help them sleep better in a new place. The complementary breakfast was exactly what we expected. Not extraordinary, but well stocked and we took advantage of it almost every morning. I was suprised to not find any fresh fruit at the breakfast, but there were plenty of other choices to keep us fed. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend the hotel for families headed to Seaside in the future. Read more

Just a quick stay for work. Satisfied with everything. Very friendly staff. Carpet was kinda icky and the tv was unplugged from cable so it took 15 minutes to click back into all the cable settings but other than that everything was hunkydory.

I was pleased with the room, it meet all of my needs. The price was fair. the bed was very comfortable, however some of the pillows had old "set in " stains. The free breakfast was okay and the selection of food was more then I expected. I will not stay there again thou because the door slamming from other guests was a terrible problem and made sleeping […] difficult. I wish the check out time was noon instead of 11am, but that is not a big deal. All in all the hotel was good and a decent walk to the beach with many touristy type of shops along the way.
