"Fantastic art deco building with Beatles history!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 26, 2012
Great location for visiting the numerous sites and attractions of Liverpool / Merseyside whilst being on the outskirts of the city itself. Fabulous building which is immaculately maintained being the old LiverpoolAirport. Staff very pleasant. Only complaint is that you have to pay for Internet service so we found ourselves walking over to Macdonalds on the retail park opposite where it is FREE! If you plan to spend most of your trip in Livedpool City Centre be aware that you would need some transport. Luckily taxis and public transport are readily available.
"1st time @ a B & B"Reviewed by Craig Me of "Chicago, IL" on Apr 8, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay at the Stone Villa in Chester The manager made us feel very welcome and gave us the information we needed to get around Chester. The breakfast provided was a Great way to start the day. It was our first B&B and my wife and I and our teenage girls enjoyed it there.
"Base To Stay...Best location in Liverpool"Reviewed by Mary D of "Los Angeles , Ca" on Mar 6, 2012
We loved the location of Base To Stay. A short walk to all of the spots in city center without the noise. The ambiance is cool and low key. The rooms are the perfect size, clean, and everything is functional. We enjoyed the friendliness of the staff and felt very at home here. The modern decor is offset nicely with the old world charm of the building .
"Best Western Westminster Hotel- Chester, UK"Reviewed by John S of "Wayne, PA USA" on Feb 16, 2012
The room was small but OK. Floorboards squeaked, which was rather annoying. Great location- near station and an easy walk to center of town. Good value.
""Reviewed by Maria of "NY" on Jan 4, 2012
Basic hotel rooms, modern, bright and airy. Very good value for money. Friendly staff. Have stayed several times and will use it again. Only comment is that if you want to rise late in the day (or want to sleep due to jetlag, as we did on our first day) it is too noisy as you can hear the non-stop banging of doors, vacuuming etc., from around 8am through to the afternoon.

"Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool"
Great hotel in a great location for shopping and night life.
"The Hard Day's Night Hotel-Liverpool"
Enjoyed the stay immensely! The hotel is everything a Beatles fan could want. The Cavern Club is just around the corner, on Mathew St. The Taxi Tour the hotel recommended exceeded my expectations. The staff was very accomodating. The room was clean and comfortable, and very large by English standards. The only not fabulous thing was the noise, the room […] seemed quite noisy in the mornings. I hope to be able to return to Liverpool, and I will most definetely stay there again. Read more
"The Hotel A Hard Days Night in Liverpool"
I've stayed at this hotel a number of times over the last several years and it seems to have gone down in quality and service each time. We stayed for four nights and the room air conditioning never worked. I complained to the front desk several times, the manager, etc. over the length of our stay and it was NEVER addressed or fixed. They told me they […] had turned it into their maintenance department who, again, NEVER did anything. I would never stay at this over priced dump again! Also, the food is less-than-average, at best, and grossly overpriced. The ONLY thing this property has going for it is the location. Period. Read more
"Great hotel!"
This is a very classy well done Beatles themed hotel. The rooms are comfortable and modern. Take time to look at all the pictures as you go down the stairs. The statues on the outside of the building are fun and add to the theme in a classy way! The only complaint is that they don't have parking onsite. There is however a local parking garage that was […] easy to get to and the hotel offers discounted parking. Read more
"For Beatles buffs"
Swanky mod hotel in the heart of cowtown Liverpool. The Cavern is around the block and all museums are walking distance. Excellent restaurant connected as well. Highly recommend Fab Cabs for a Beatles tour of the city. Can be booked at the information center near Beatles Story.
"Hard days night Hotel Liverpool."
First class hotel. If you are into the Beatles and all that went with the sixties it's a must to stay at or just call in for meal or drink. The only question mark over the hotel is the rooms that over look Mathew Street could do with double glazing, this is due to the night life in Mathew street is some what noisy and goes on well into the early morning. […] So if you are a light sleeper ask for a room away from that street. Other than that a good place to stay when in Liverpool. Read more
"For Beatles Fans"
If you're going to Liverpool to get the Beatles experience, this is the place to stay. When you walk in, you'll be welcomed by Beatles music and surrounded by photos and artwork. The rooms are comfortable and the service was good.
"Great Hotel for Beatles Fans"
We loved this hotel--definitely rocks!
"great weekend!"
this is an excellent hotel one of the best i have stayed in. the room and bed were lovely and the bed was very comfortabe. the bar had a great atmosphere and the location was excellent being in the centre of Liverpool i would recommend it to anyone
"All You Need Is Love!"
After a hard days night on the long and winding road we loved it and could have stayed eight days a week! Any time at all twist and shout at the Cavern Club next door. It won't be long til we come back again.
"Fantastic Hotel"
Hard Days Night Hotel is a fantastic hotel not only for Beatles fans but also for everybody who wants a confortable and fantastic stay in Liverpool. Is a great hotel for not a very expensive price at all.
"Service needs help"
Hotel is cool and great location the service the lacking and especially the restaurant Blakes, here the service it below par. For example we ate there for breakfast. It was buffet. We were never greeted by a server. Had to find our own silverware and finally left with no drinks. And the staff was not busy many of the tables were empty. They just walked […] around like they were lost and did not know what to do. Unfortunately this clouded my opinion of the whole hotel. Read more
"Great spot - If you don't mind the noise at night"
We stayed here due to the central location and were not disappointed. The hotel itself is presented to a very high standard and you feel as if you are staying somewhere quite special. The Cavern club is just round the corner and you are a stones throw from the central shopping area and about a 10 min walk from the docks area. Lots of bars and restaurants […] nearby too. Unfortunately, due to it's central location (as other reviewers have mentioned) a lot of noise filters through to the bedrooms (and we were given a room in the centre of the hotel). If you like things a bit quieter in the evening, I would suggest you look at hotels in the docks area, if you can put up with a bit of noise then this hotel is perfect in terms of location and presentation - look no further! "A must for Beatles fans"
The hotel is slap bang in the middel of Liverpool, around the 'Cavern Quarter' as you'd hope. All the staff were welcoming and helpful, rooms good sized and comfortable. The hotel itself has had a lot of time and effort out into it. Check out the cocktails , and Blakes restaurant which have good offers on at the moment. We regretted not doing moreso […] ourselves, but were tired and ordered room service. As is the case with almost all hotels, room service never turns out to be quite what you ordered, nor as hot as it would be if you went to the restaurant itself. Read more
"Great city great hotel"
Absolutely wonderful hotel! Would deifinatlely go back. Only prob is that it was a tiny bit noisy. Could hear trains in local station. Other than that can't fault the place.
"Easy to recommend to friends"
Cool hotel in the heart of the cool town!
"Beatles Fan Paradise"
As a lifelong Beatles fan, I have been following the drama of this hotel becoming a reality for several years. Thanks to hotels.com, I finally got a chance to stay here. It was everything I was hoping for, with a few surprises. The only down side was the original room we were given faced noisy Mathew Street, so they moved us to a quieter room.
"If You Are a Beatles Fan or Wanting Some Fun Luxury ..."
This is the hotel for you. The entire hotel is decorated with Beatles photos and memorabilia. I was on my leisure trip alone, and I felt safe, welcomed and well cared for. I used the hotel lobby bar, the hotel lobby restaurant, and the adjacent Fab Four Lounge. Every meal and beverage I received was served promptly, courteously, and was of high quality. The […] front rooms get a little noisy at night if you are staying on a weekend. If you don't stay out late at night, you might want to get an courtyard room. In addition, I want to compliment a hotel front desk person named Sarah (pronounced SAY-ra). You see, after I left the hotel and arrived by train to Birmingham, I realized I had left cash and jewelry in the open safe in my now checked-out room. I phoned the hotel and Sarah retrieved my items and took personal responsibility for mailing them back to me, even phoning me at my next hotel to confirm what she was going to do. This is unusual and over-the-top service. Read more

"A splendid time is guaranteed for all"
If you are a Beatle fan (or not)you must stay at least one night at this motel. We could't see everything we wanted to see in Liverpool with one night, so I would suggest at least two nights. The motel is quality throughout and the Beatle photos and memorabilia are the icing on the cake. We had read a post or two about noise, but our room was as quiet […] as could be. Nice people at the front desk, good breakfast buffet on Sunday morning, great location. What more could you ask for? We were completely satisfied! Read more
"Outstanding Hotel"
We absolutely loved our stay. The location is excellent the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with all of our needs. A wonderful place to stay for any fan of the Beatles. Bravo!
"Didn't get the i paid for"
Booked a deluxe room and got the luxury... no fluffy robes or slippers. When questioned at reception they said I was in the correct standard for what I had paid for!!!

"Easy night's sleep!"
The hotel was comfortable, luxurious and extremely well located. The room was lovely and big with a huge comfy bed and tasteful decor. The only suggestion I would make is that the TV was REALLY far away from the bed making it slightly uncomfortable to watch. But this is a minor point and would not put me off returning or recommending to a friend.
"Great for Beatles Fans!"
This hotel is really lovely, lots of Beatles memorabilia and photos all around. REALLY close to the shop and The Cavern is just round the corner. We had a problem with our bathroom because someone had been smoking in there before we arrived!! The hotel staff just gave it a squirt of airfreshner...bit disappointing . But other than that everything else […] was great! Read more

"fantastic location"
Hotel was great. Service excellent and rooms were very comfy. The only problem was the noisy club across the road despite the double glazing it give us a completely undisturbed nights sleep. Would definitely stay again though.
"Not value for money"
Our room was smaller than any budget brand hotel at roughly twice the price and our room was not serviced until late afternoon on the Saturday. Apart from the obvious gimmick - the Beatles theme, I would not recommend.
"Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool"
Close to the Beatles Cavern home, the hotel is ideally situated. Housed in a wonderful Victorian building it successfully blends the old with the new in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Very quiet in the room - no internal noise. Loved switching TV on to 'A Hard Days Night'! Two prices were quoted on the breakfast menu continental & full. We chose […] continental but when checking out we were told that they charged for the full only. Credit to the staff they effected a compromise. Read more
"Nice themed hotel"
On the corner of the famous cavern club, nice cocktail bar although a little pricey with beagles music piped around the place. Usually a little pricey it is now cheaper mid week then before. The breakfast was good although a little expensive, situated near L1 the rooms are a bit noisy at the fron of the hotel, would stay again if the price was righ […] t. Read more
To The TOPS With The POPS
Hotel hard days night was a superb location Great ambience. We thoroughly enjoyed the music in the Bar would recommend a stay.
"Hard Days Night Hotel - not just for Beatles fans"
I chose this hotel not because we were massive Beatles fans, but because I wanted to avoid the 'carbon copy rooms' you find in chain hotels and try a boutique style instead - I wasn't disappointed. Great unique hotel which although has the expected Beatles theme - it isn't overwhelming. The staff were all very efficient, polite and friendly. You definitely […] should have a drink in BarFour - although admittedly not the cheapest, it's just a funky and chilled out place to relax with a wide mix of clientele. We had a luxury room which was huge and well laid out - definitely worth the few extra pounds. The only drawback being a woman, was that there was a distinct lack of mirrors, especially anywhere near power points - which when you have hair dryers and straightners, can cause a few issues. This hotel is a MUST though for any Beatles fan - it's literally around the corner from the Cavern Club (great night out by the way!) and the inevitable theme with their music piped subtly through will be perfect. Also ideal for the intrepid shopper as just down the road from the main shopping centre (Liverpool One). We went to Liverpool just for a weekend away; a change of scenery combined with a night or two out and shopping - this hotel was perfect for it all. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone visiting Liverpool - Beatles fans or not!! Read more
"Ideal location, excellent service"
The hotel's location could not be better: close to the main shopping centres, Albert Dock, The Cavern. The service outstanding: the valet service is very convenient and not expensive, room service is great too. The hotel itself: comfortable, great design, quality and very quiet. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the Hard Days Night hotel.
"60 th birthday"
had a great time in hotel, we spent time in bar and had dinner in blakes restaurant which was top class
"Hard Days Night Hotel Liverpool"
Great Hotel with great atmosphere. I was on business but it would more obviously suit a tourist especially Beatles fans due to location (next to Matthew Street & Cavern). Great for business too all the things you want and great central location. There isn't any parking but I wouldn't let that put you off as QPark is good with Hotel special rate and […] only very short walk away (it is Liverpool City Centre) Read more
"Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool - awesome!"
Stayed for one night in October 2010 as a surprise for the girlfriends 30th. Hotel is right in the center of the city so parking was plentiful (we used the QPark as you get discount from the hotel). Room was amazing, clean and spacious with everything you could want. Couple of minutes to walk to Liverpool One where you have shops, restaurants and cinemas. […] Good Beatles theme throughout the entire hotel, there is so much to look at! Hotel is also just round the corner from The Cavern and other areas of interest. Will definitely go again! Read more
Room nicely furnished and quiet although very small. Probably the worst breakfast Ive ever had in a hotel.Service at breakfast was appalling ,had to wait 15 mins for acup of coffee and had to ask 3 times! No eggs ,hash browns ,toast or even juice available ,again had to wait sometime.Food station much too small for the volume of people in the dining […] room.Lots of tables needed cleaning .Very poor restaurant management! Excellent hotel in a great location, at the top of Matthew Street, and within a short walking distance of Lime Street train station, shops and bars. Perfect!
