We decided to spend a little more for the ocean view. We definitely were not disappointed. Also, we were able to walk pretty much everywhere - dinner, little shops, etc. Cute little town. Would visit again.

The wifi connection is so weak that I can't use it for both my android smart phone and ipad. Although it may only applies to few rooms, I think it is a very bad point.

Great location w/friendly staff. Sadly, the beds were very uncomforable, and the decor is dated. Don't bother with the Continental breakfast, very limited, and there are great/affordable restaurants all up and down the Embarcadero or a short walk into town to enjoy. The hotel was average; staff, prompt and friendly; location, perfect! It is one street off of the embarcadero and located in the middle of the embarcadero area so everything is in walkable distance. Being one street off the embarcadero kept the street noise out of our room, but the convenience of access to everything close.

staff was friendly, everything was clean. free continental breakfast could have been better, even if it would have only been to add protein in the form of hard boiled eggs or something, or even maybe some yogurt. first day was really hot for there, an a/c would have been good but fan was nice to have.

We called for information as to how to find the hotel.. Agent, told us correctly... Everyone was most pleasant, our room was wonderful, I called for help to set up my computer, again it was handled very well. We asked about a place to eat, and was directed to Dorans, next door, it was fantastic, actually a newly built restaurant from the original Breakers […] Restaurant, that my dad took us to many years before., Wonderful Lobster and steak dinner, our whole stay was wonderful, even the seals that barked in the night added to this experience. Location right off the waterfront near shops and restaraunts, Price was good, since we settled for "City View" room. Room was decent size, older, but relatively clean with plenty of towels, supplies, cups, etc. Fridge and microwave were nice to have. Great alternative to the chain motel. We stayed for one night on the way to LA from Monterey. Even though the place was fully booked (Saturday) check-in was painless and quick. The room was very spacious and much nicer than I expected it to be.

Wish we could have had a balcony room and not have had to walk down the stairs with suitcases to get there. That would have been inconvenient. Also no elevator to the breakfast room was inconvenient. Other wise I have no complaints.

The rooms were clean and the location was great. However, beds and tv's need to be updated. The breakfast was also on the weak side. Luckly Dorns is next door and has a great breakfast. The staff was also friendly.

My sister and I stayed three nights. We found the room clean and the beds were comfortable. We were glad to have a microwave and fridge. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful view of Morro Rock and were close to shopping and restaurants. The room was quiet even with a full house.

The hotel's view and location is exactly as I expected. Breakfast room is nice and the food is good. Room is clean. However the carpet in the hallway should be replaced. The service staff (Stacy) in the main office is friendly and helpful. I will recommend this hotel to a friend

This Hotel is very clean and the room was comfortable. The only problem was the attitude at the front desk. We asked 3 times if we could check out at noon.....it seem like a huge deal. Breakfast was just OK, nothing special, just some danishes and cereal for the most part.

The staff was very helpful. Location is great. Rooms are well kept and clean. Parking is mostly protected and roomy. Overlooks Embarcadero with many eateries and shops, a short walk up the hill to downtown Morro Bay.

We stayed here to break up the trip as we journeyed down the PCH. Clean, well-maintained, and friendly service at the desk. Only drawback is that you must cross the road to get to the office from some of the units.

This hotel has 11am checkout (not noon), which I dislike. Furthermore, to make your unwelcomeness clear the hotel key stops working in the elevator at 10:30am, making checkout more difficult.

We stopped in Morro Bay on our way from San Francisco to Los Angeles via Highway 1. Our room was relatively spacious with a view to the ocean, which is practically within 2 minutes walking distance. Overall it is a very nice hotel and I definitely recommend it.

The Blue Sail Inn is in an excellent location in Morro Bay. It is about a block from the pier/wharf area with restaurants and shopping. We had a very comfortable overnight at the Blue Sail Inn. The hotel is within walking distance of the pier, shops and restaurants. Great views of the Morro Bay Rock and great sightings of sea lions.
