"Nice hotel in Reno"
Stayed here in August 2014 for one night traveling thru Reno area. Great room and hotel! We were in the Tuscany tower and I would definitely suggest staying in this tower as the rooms are much nicer.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
One of the gaudiest rooms I have ever seen. Even though we were on a non-smoking floor, the room reeked of smoke. There are better options available.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Picture this, Celebrating 45th wedding anniversary, told clerk checking us in. promptly gave us a 4th floor room with brick wall parking garage view, next to ice machine. Still charged full price though. Room 457 not for me again. What an expensive disappointment. Maid service an second day very inadequate left no coffee or clean cup, bed made by pulling […] sheets up and bathroom not cleaned, She left towels glasses and shampoo. "Returning to Reno"
Having lived in Reno in the 1990s we remembered the Peppermill as a really nice place however, the room reserved and offered at the low advertised rate was really disappointing. It was in the old tower over the casino and despite being advertised as "non-smoking" it and the whole tower really smelled badly of smoke. The room was just big enough to accommodate […] the two double beds, the view was of the receiving dock and believe it or not, an overflowing "Dempsy dumpster"! We stayed about 30 seconds in that room, went back to the desk and upgraded to a much more desirable room in the newer tower. This room was delightful. It was spacious, had no problem with odor and we had a fantastic 20th floor view of Reno. We ate the first night in the buffet which was our favorite when we lived there. The food was O.K. but the buffet hadn't changed very much - I think even the plastic plants were the same. Keeping in mind we now live in Las Vegas, as for the hotel/casino, it pretty much reflects the entire Reno gaming scene, dated and a bit tired. We did enjoy our stay. "Our Favorite Place to Stay"
Mostly we were so impressed with the friendliness of the Staff who worked there, everywhere we went they would speak friendly and so helpful to our needs...it felt like we were in Italy...so beautiful we had a wonderful time thank you very much...Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect weekend getaway"
Every single person at the hotel, from the reception desk to the spa to the bartenders couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. We had the perfect 2-day staycation at the Peppermill. Would recommend to anyone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Very enjoyable. Beautiful Hotel! Have never before seen that many slot machines in one facility! Shuttle service to and from airport was first quality service. Restaurant was also excellent. Our first choice when we return to Reno.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good bargain easy to get to"
I was excited when we got to the rooms and found them so nice. Then that night I went to take a shower and there was a ball of hair in the drain bigger than a golf ball, that really surprised me, it was disgusting having to get someone else's hair out. I was already in the shower so had to clean it out myself just to finish. Also, I know people want […] to be able to smoke in the casinos but it would really be helpful for those of us with health issues if there were bigger fans sucking out the smoke. Since we have to go though the casinos to get to the restaurants it would have made me feel better and able to enjoy the dinner more. If I pay that much for a meal I'd like to be able to relax more but the smoke was pretty bad. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place, not so kid friendly though."
This was our first stay at the Peppermill and I have to say, pleasantly surprised all around. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful, the facility was pretty well maintained and the kids LOVED the pool(s). The dining wasn't as great as we had hoped, but we did stick to the main restaurant by the pool since everything else was heavy laden in smoke […] (I know, I know, it's a casino, why even mention it, goes with the territory). The spa would have been lovely to enjoy, there isn't any child care or kids camp available though. We suggested that they offer something, even if it's only a few hours each day. This would allow moms (&/or dads) to get a little R&R and the hotel would stand to make a few extra bucks! We would definitely go again, even with the family, the expectations would be more realistic though and we would be sure to plan activities, besides pool time, in the surrounding areas. Everything was wonderful just was musty smell in the room. Liked our stay so well we plan to stay on our way home thru Reno to Vegas. Thank you. For caring. Roger Chamberlin.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Checked in at 10:30, early but.....ended up not getting a room until almost 4:00 in the afternoon. Reserved a Tuscan 2 King Suite was given that room but the handicap version which meant no soaking tub which kind of was a bummer....but we took it just happy to finally get into a room. View was terrible and the mini bar was broken. Staff was friendly […] at first but became irritable after several inquiries about getting into a room. Also this was on a Sunday...one would of that that being not so busy that check in would of went a little more smoothly, not so....it was still at least 15-20 min wait each time to check on our room. I've enjoyed Peppermill in the past but was not to impressed this time. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

We always stay in the Towers because they are close to the casino. One time we booked the cheaper room and we had to go on 2 elevators , down stairs and endless hallways. I'll pay the extra 20.00 for the view and location. We like the seafood/ sushi restaurant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Love the Peppermill"
As always, it's a fantastic spot to rest and relax before my big work event. The rooms are comfortable, great sheets, giant tub, plenty of seating, and the air conditioning works well. I always splurge for the Tuscany Tower.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I was a little disappointed that I spent SO much money to have a romantic getaway (In the Tuscany Tower) with my partner and people let their children run, screaming up and down the halls until 11:30p Complained to the front desk BUT they told me that security will have to deal with it when they get a chance........... I guess they were TOO busy because […] I had to listen to it for hours. Turned out to be a real mood killer NOT to mention an annoyance. Next time, I'll save my money AND stay home where I know I won't be hearing children running around and screaming at all hours of the night Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"My suitcases - my Rooms 2033 & 2035"
I was very upset with the acutual layout of the rooms and the ability to reach each room was a "night-mare" since we had suitcases and business display. What's with the stairs? This will be questionable in returning...Can I get to my room with suitcases in hands or can I leave with suitcases in hand????Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice views, very good dining"
Room well-appointed. Nice city views from Peppermill Tower. Upgraded suite spacious, but bathrooms do not wow the guest as they do at Tuscany Tower. A 20-minute wait to check in around 4 p.m. ... not ideal. All staff friendly and helpful. Biscotti's breakfasts never fail to delight and satisfy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Room overlooking dumpster"
The hotel itself is large, impressive, and clean. The pool area is lovely; however, they ran out of pool towels. We waited a good hour, then had to run to our room to grab towels - a minor inconvenience. They never did replenish the area with clean towels. Our room was very small and poorly located (north tower). Instead of two queen beds as requested, […] we received two double beds. Very cramped as there were four of us in the room. Our "view" was the garbage area. At all hours, workers threw trash into the dumpster. The worst part was the dumpster was always open. Since we were only there one night (hence, probably the reason for that room), we put up with it and got out of there as soon as possible. Room 3011. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good family value"
Went for three nights with my wife and two adult children. This was a good base place for our visit of the Reno/Virginia City area. The room, restaurants and services were good to very good, but not exceptional for the price. On our next trip to the area, I will certainly consider returning at this resort, but I will also look at alternatives available […] at that time. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good but nitpicky details caused a damper"
Firstly I stayed in the North tower. Checking in was no problem but the room was hard to find even with verbal instructions. When we got into the room it was incredibly small. It was amazing they could even fit two doubles in there. The free wifi provided was terrible in the room, i got from 0-1 bar and it was jumpy so would disconnect a lot.The censor […] plates for snacks i feel were over stocked so there was a lot of risk in accidently hitting them and getting charged. The bathroom tile in the shower, one was cracked, a glass was dirty, and a towel in the tub didnt seem very sensible. There were definitley maintenance and cleanliness issues evident in the room itself. The bathroom size was great though and if the room could be similarly proportioned it would be a better stay. The price for my room was an okay price but considering how little i actually used the faucilities, i dont think it was worth it at all. I would stay here again with a lower price and maybe a different type of room if the deal was good enough, but for now i dont think ill be coming back for a while. "What was I thinking?"
I don't know why I though a casino resort could ever offer anything non-smoking. The kids and I were passing through to see a niece. I was really duped by the AAA 4-diamond rating and the online reviews. Cigarette smoke oozed from the hotel and could.be smelled from the parking garage before you even went in. The elevator, the halls, the rooms, the […] restaurants...the only reprieve was the pool area, but I think that's just because it WS 8:30 in the morning. I called the hotel before we arrived to make sure they could put us in a room that was as far away from smoking accommodations as possible because my son (asthmatic) and I are both allergic. I also expressed this need again when checking in. The first room given to us by the unfriendly desk agent was right on a corridor intersection after a ridiculously long trek through elevators and hallways --the air conditioner was on extra high when we walked in the room, but even with the air circulation, the smoke just permeated through everything. When I trekked back to the front deak, a new and equally unfriendly agent responded that that's the room they had left. Mind you, this room waa paid for upfront wirh special instructions. She loomed again and said I can put you in a completely separate building. At the time, I thought she was doing me a favor. It turns out we had to make another long trek and this time outside through a.corridor that smelled strongly of urine into a building that was clearly the oldest in the resort. The building and room were only SLIGHTLY less reeky and clearly tired and worn. What a horrible experience. If you like cigarette smoke, indifferent, unresponsive staff and urine-lined walkways, this is the place for you. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A fancy room for a modest price in Reno"
The room was very nice, and the bed was super comfortable (I prefer a little softer mattress). I was put in the tower which required a short walk across a "skyway." It was fine, but the only way in is still through the main lobby so you can't really park very close to your room. Beware of the minibar which is touch sensitive. If you pick up any item […] and fail to return it within a few seconds, you will be charged for it, even if you eventually put it back. But overall a good value and enjoyable stay. "A decent stay"
Overall the room was very clean. When we arrived at 3 to check in, the line was ridiculously long. There are 2 kiosks where you can self check in- this saved us easily an hour of standing in line. The only problem is that the kiosks are not well labeled. The hotel is very large so you may have to do some walking to get from one area to another; luckily […] we had a stroller for our toddler. The pool was nice but tons of kids. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
