The first room we had was all the way in the west wing and they were doing construction which was heard all through the night. We changed our room to the north wing which was much better. The hotel room was a bit small, stains in the shower and tub, and had an awful smell in the hallway walking to the room. I believe my room was the farthest possible distance from the Casino and the worst room in the building. Possibly reserved for people whom book thru expedia. So disappointed. 3 PM check in with room not ready until almost 5. Using a 3rd party reservation will get you 3rd party treatment. Wanted a smoking room 2 beds. Was reserved a non smoking room 1 bed. Had to wait for a room with 2 beds - only non- smoking and when I told them how unhappy I was, they offered to put me in a smoking room one night but I […] would have to move to another room the next night. Translation: someone else's reservation is more important than you. I felt like a second class citizen and the hotel did absolutely NOTHING to make it up to us, even after I told them how unhappy I was. Front desk agent who gave us our room, simply tossed the keys at me and walked away. No direction to the hotel elevator - nothing. Second girl tried to switch the room - but too bad your reservation was for non- smoking- nothing I can do. Very clear from the start that "3rd party" (their words) means - 3rd class. Pool bar closed, at 5 pm .Cocktail service in the casino - non- existent. We will never stay here again and will seriously consider not using a 3rd party again - if we can't actually reserve the room we want. Security Lock - Deadbolt wouldn't work until picked up on the door by the handle with one hand & wiggled the lock at the same time, finally won the fight. Found jammed where the original tissue holder went long ago & the smell of burned hair when turned on. The Bed -A king bed was reserved on April 23rd but not available only two doubles unless I wanted to be "detached on the 1st floor" and that means? I was not late checking in. Check In - I am advised of a resort charge. I explained it was all prepaid. Clerk states Expedia neglects to state charge & "sign here please". Check Out - NOT asked by the clerk about my stay.
