Great hotel, Fabulous views. Looks like the pool is nice although I did not try it myself - there were always other people having a swim.The food was excellent and the room comfortable. There was no WiFi in my room, but a cabled connections was available and a cable in the top drawer of the desk. My stay at L'Horizon was an extremely positive experience. My bedroom was very clean and comfortable, and also very quiet at night. I was not disturbed at all by noise from corridors or other rooms. We stayed for four nights at the end of October. The hotel has an enviable location right alongside the beach at St Brelades (right by the sea when the tide is in), and our ocean-view room allowed us to appreciate the gorgeous spectacle even when the wind was howling and the rain was lashing down. Beach walks when the sun came out were invigorating, […] raising an appetite for the excellent menus. Staff went the extra mile to ensure our stay was memorable, even bringing a wireless router to our room, although only wired connection had been promised. Complimentary fresh milk in the minifridge to go with the ample tea/coffee/ hot chocolate supplies added an extra touch luxury. A very comfortable bed and down duvet ensured a good night's sleep. Nice hotel which deserves its 4 star rating. Rooms could be doing with a coat of paint and new carpets but this probably reflects our end of season booking. Service in main fine dining restaurant (The Grill) was awful in spite of the high cost with the head waiter more interested in chatting to other customers than being attentive. Hotel peaceful and relaxed in the most stunning location. Simply the best spot in the bay and St Brelades is the loveliest bay in Jersey. Was rather disappointed at the standard of this hotel. It was very shabby and the rooms are pretty dull, not helped by the depressing brown carpet. Could not BELIEVE there was no wifi in the rooms either, you could only get it downstairs, and then you had to ask for a code, very annoying given I was there on business. Wouldn't exactly call it a Spa […] either, very small 'spa area' and tiny swimming pool and gym. Staff were friendly though. We dined in The Grill restaurant and was shocked that a glass of very average Pinot Grigio was £12.50. Probably wouldn't stay again, lacked soul. Can't beat the location though, although couldn't work out why they'd put ugly metal sheets on the balcony so you couldn't see the view unless stood up. Read more

Everything was very good in the hotel as you would expect for the price. However it was very humid when we stayed and we were surprised the rooms didn't have air conditioning, which they could have done with. Also, the bedrooms could have done with Wi Fi - only available in the lounge and lobby areas and very slow. The rating says it all - superb. Besides a couple of splendid rooms - quite large - there were wonderful breakfasts, a 2 metre walk to the best beach on the island ! , a really nice indoor pool (decent size too), and my wife tells me - a good gym and spa treatments. The children loved it here. There was a MASSIVE hotel car park on the opposite side […] of the road, with parking for perhaps 30 or so immediately outside the hotel. We have been to Jersey many times in the last 20 years and always had a desire to stay at this hotel, given the location and fantastic sea view. The food was excellent on the terrace restaurant, and the staff were terrific in all parts of the hotel. However I would recommend requesting a room that is NOT interconnecting. The guests in the room next […] to us were smokers and this is a non-smoking hotel. The smoke would drift across the balcony and also seep through the gap in the door which made our room smell. Additionally you can hear noise from your neighbouring guests. I mentioned it to reception on check out, so as not to cause an issue during the stay. Overall a lovely hotel and we enjoyed our stay, I only wish house keeping would have taken action against smokers rather than guests having to point it out. We paid a reasonable amount per night and I expected a better quality room experience for this. Read more

Nice hotel in lovely location, probably the best location on Jersey in our opinion. Our room was spacious but with only a partial sea view which was a little disappointing. Breakfasts were excellent, but the bar was average, both service and choice. After reviewing the menus, we decided to eat out both of the evenings we were there (the tasting menu […] with wine at the Atlantic was an experience!). The standards at this hotel are spot on. The room was very comfortable and well serviced. A second floor seafront with small balcony and patio doors which, because the weather was mild and sunny (even though it was the end of February) I opened often, even at night. Large wall-mounted flat screen TV with excellent range of channel selection (Sky Sports, […] et al). The Staff/food and beverage/amenities were all excellent. I benefitted from an out-of-season room rate which also included a superb breakfast menu, however I would suggest that even in-season at the normal rate, this hotel would still be great value and well worth a stay. The location of this hotel is nothing short of spectacular peace and quiet whilst not off the beaten track. We visited out of season and found many great restaurants for all bugets were within walking distance. We would without a doubt recommend the Oyster Box which we think should be awarded a michelin star. Back to the hotel itself, the staff were […] fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. The bar was quiet during our stay with a pianist playing on one or two of the nights but was a perfect place for a few pre and post dinner drinks and a spot of lunch. The rooms were extremely comfortable and of a very good size the beds were superking sized and very comfortable, both our rooms had a/c for heating and cooling and large flat screen tvs with a good range of channels as well as a plug in for internet access, and although no wifi in the bedrooms, which would have been useful for those with ipods, ipads and smart/android phones, it was available in the public areas. The rooms also had a good range of refreshments, a handy fridge with free mineral water, and other amenties including soaps and gels etc & bath robes. The Spa was impecably clean and spent many hourse becoming wrinkled in the jacuzzi whilst mesmerized by the views of St Brelades Bay. In all this is a great hotel and one of the best out of St Helier to stay in. Read more
