Great hotel with outstanding service! The room was clean and in good repair, and the view of the beach outside was awesome. Didn't use the pool because the beach is just a short walk away, but it looked nice and there was plenty of chairs and umbrellas. I cannot say enough good things about the owner and manager--George--of the Reneiris Hotel. He's kind, efficient, helpful, knowledgeable about the area and a perfectionist in his work. He even packed breakfast for us on our last day because we had to leave before it started! The hotel is immaculate and most rooms have views of the sea. It's close to […] myriad restaurants, and is a short walk to the beach. The only downside to this hotel is that it's high up on a cliff and you have to climb the equivalent of ten flights of stairs to return from the beach. This is great if you want the exercise, but it's hard to run back to your hotel room to grab a forgotten item. The rooms are simple, but modern and clean. The beds were not very comfortable, but they were pretty standard for a European hotel. Travel from the airport to the hotel was a little tricky. You can take a taxi for 40-50 Euros, but we opted to take a bus. You actually have to take two buses for 1 E 60 each, and the transfer is kind of confusing. The buses also cannot stop in front of the hotel door; you have to carry your luggage up the afore-mentioned ten flights of stairs. We opted to take a bus out of the airport and catch a taxi at the changeover. I highly recommend this hotel. It was a pleasant, relaxing experience, and a great value for the money. Read more

This hotel had a spectacular view, and because it's on a hill, there was a cooling breeze witch was very godd as it was 35 and more outside. The breakfast was godd, as was the pool and the poolbar, but most of all the service was fanatstic! We only stayed three days, because after that the hotel was fully booked, and we needed to go down to Kato Stalos […] for our new hotel. Giorgio, one of the staff, offered to drive us - completely free of charge. In the eventing, in our new hotel, the reseptionist knocked on the door, and in his hand was my I-pod. My wife and I wanted to visit Crete and celebrate my 40th birthday in the romantic and gorgeous beaches and mountains. Renieris has been a great surprise on our last vacation. This was my 7th visit to Crete in the past 10 years, my favorite destination in the Mediterranean for vacationing, motorbike trips and both couples and family vacations. Renieris […] has delivered a great location, clean room and pool, and overall nice stay, especially for that price range! The hotel restaurant, lobby, and pool furniture is brand new. Room furniture is new and clean. The room was nicely decorated, clean and very well maintained, and so was the bath room. Nice terrace with sea view was perfect for having a drink in the afternoon. Breakfast (we took BB) was more than ok, with choices of yogurt, cereals fruits and vegetables, cheeses, meats and drinks. We will surely return to the Renieries and its great hotel and nice staff. The proximity to Chania was also a bonus. A walking distance from the Kalypso are few beaches, but a 30 minute drive will get you to the best beaches in Western Crete (Falasarna etc.). Getting a rental car would certainly widen the activity options in the area. We got some great recommendations for restaurants in the area from the staff, which were the best dinners we had in Crete! Family run hotel. very clean. free wifi, free use of communal PC. excellent view from any of the front rooms as you are up a hill. steep but good condition staircase down to the main road. just across the road is a nice clean beach. sunbeds with umbrella for €2.50 each for the whole day. car hire at the bottom of the steps - 3 days class A vehicle for […] €70. Breakfast is 830am - 1030am self service buffet. Plenty of choice. Very clean swimming pool with a baby pool attached (great views from there too). Staff very friendly. Very happy to provide advise on the best way to travel to all the sights we wanted to get too. And on the last day they even drove us to the bus stop so we didnt have to carry our suitcases down the staircase. Location is great for journeys to Hania (10minutes on the bus). or drives to Elafonisi (best beach) was just 1.5 hours. Kissamos just 30mins. Knossus Palace was about 2 hours drive. We stayed here in August 2011 and were pleased to stay in this lovely, family run hotel. The owner is very friendly and willing to help. We got the impression as we were a part of this caring family. He really runs this hotel in a professional way. The rooms are very clean, have fast and free Wi-Fi broadband. If you get a sea-view room, you'll get, […] probably, unique in the area, outstanding view to the sea and Stalos beach located near by the hotel. You'll also get a free breakfast included, which can satisfy most of the tastes. The food is always fresh and tasty. I'm not an early bird and whenever I have free breakfast included, I rarely use the opportunity, but in this i haven't missed a single breakfast. Also, a good thing is that breakfast is served from 8am till 10.30am. I'm not sure if you'll be able to grab a snack or order a meal into your room in this hotel (at least this wasn't advertised), but there's no restaurant in it (only a excellent view bar near the pool, where we enjoyed watching sunsets). On the good side, we didn't have to walk far to have dinner, because we found an excellent restaurant called "Amethystos" (highly recommend it) just down the stairs of the hotel, were very delicious Cretan food was served and locals were eating(which i find is a good proof that the food is good and not touristish). Overall we very much enjoyed our stay there! Will def. recommend it! Negatives - none. A wardrobe in the room could have more shelves for clothes. Read more

Renieris is a first class small hotel provided that you are fit enough to climb 94 steps from the beach. The pay-back is a stunning sea view from your balcony with the mountains in the background. 7 years old, the hotel is in excellent condition and the service is equally excellent with nothing too much trouble. The hotel provides an amazing all-inclusive […] cold breakfast, which caters for all tastes. Bearing in mind that there are only 19 guest rooms, there is a spendid terrace with a good sized swimming pool and a bar area. We often had the pool to ourselves and it was never crowded. Rooms are air-conditioned (at no extra charge), spotless and in very good condition with nomal European toilets, so no problems disposing of toilet paper. However, there is inadequate storage space for clothes, which means living out of a case. The shower cubicle is also small and no toiletries are provided apart from a small bar of soap which was renewed once during our 8 day stay. Towels are changed daily which makes a refreshing change. Don't let the minor niggles put you off, as we absolutely recommend this hotel. The hotel is situated about 15 minutes drive from the centre of Chania and good restaurants in Kato Stalos are all within reasonable walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the hotel a real bargain giving excellent value for money. One not to be missed! Read more

We enjoyed our stay, the hotel was very welcoming. The room was basic but clean and although the balcony faced inland it pointed South East so we could enjoy the morning sun. When we booked a 2** hotel, as it was a short break, we didn't expect the Renieris to be such a lovely hotel. It's location was ideal for the blue-flag beaches at Stalos, and the extensive choice of shops and restaurants there. Set up on a hill, our terrace had superb views of the sea and hills, and a 4 minute walk (steep though it was) past their crystal […] clear pool and bar area and down the cliff steps, takes you to the main road and the beach, where it was easy to get a bus or taxi to ancient Chania, a short ride away. The drive from hotel to Chania airport is approx 15 mins. The hotel itself is spotless, light and airy, set in well-tended gardens, and everything was very well decorated and presented, and although there are no tea-making facilities in the rooms, there is a drinks facility at all times for guests in the dining room, overlooking the sea. We had a fridge in our room, and also a safe if needed. Each day the room was valetted beautifully, fluffy towells, etc. Breakfast was an excellent range of continental products, buffet style.We were also left very impressed that the owners seemed to be fluent in every language under the sun, and attracted a nice range of guests from Nordic and slightly eastern Europe as well as western Europe. We were glad it was a quiet hotel with considerate and pleasant guests. We would love to visit Crete again sometime, and would stay at the Renieris if we do....It was excellent value and a very pleasant surprise! Read more

l'hotel e' di recente costruzione, l'arredamento e' molto semplice, ma tutto ben funzionale. In camera c'è l'aria condizionata, la tv trasmette programmi internazionali.Il bagno e' piccolo, cieco, ma con sanitari nuovi e puliti. La camera veniva pulita tutti i giorni. C'e' una vista mare mozzafiato. Dalla piscina c'era una scala che ti portava direttamente […] in spiaggia, bisognava solo attraversare la strada. E' ubicato in una posizione strategica perche' e' a 4 Km da Chania e a 1.5 km da Platanias. L'hotel dispone anche di parcheggio gratis.La colazione, di tipo continentale e abbondante. Anche i proprietari sono molto disponibili e gentili. L'ultimo giorno, visto che avevo l'aereo alle 22.15, ho chiesto se potevo lasciare la camera intorno alle 18.00 pagando un extra. Non mi hanno fatto pagare niente. C'e' il wifi gratis e arriva anche in piscina. Nella hall c'è un computer con collegamento ad internet a disposizione di tutti gratis. Read more

Nous avons séjourné dans plusieurs hotels de Crête durant notre séjour, et c'est de loin notre préféré. Il est idéalement placé, à quelques minutes de la plage et du centre. La vue des chambres côté mer est magnifique. Le personnel est au petit soin pour vous, et vous pouvez mangez de très bon petits plats pour 5-6€ avec une vue superbe sur le soleil […] couchant ( cf pièce jointe!!).
