Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Port Charlotte - Port Charlotte

Obviously this is not a five star hotel and Port Charlotte is not a city like Miami or New York. However, it's a great hotel for the price. I stayed two nights for $100. My room was good, non smoking, and clean. Can't ask for much more.

The actual facility was very nice. We didn't appreciate the dog that barked for 1 hr solid from 12am to 1am especially since we had an early morning flight.We asked that in the future we be made aware if a dog would be on the premises so we could be on a different floor. You get what you pay for. The rates were good, so we didn't expect much. The bed was comfortable. The room was quiet. No hot water for a morning shower was disappointing. Front desk simply said a lot of people must have been showering! Would I stay here again? If money was the main concern...yes, definitely!

Hotel was very nice. Had a problem with noisy neighbors but the manager was awesome and changed our room. The only other drawback was that we didn't get many of the TV channels that we usually watch, including Fox News. However, we will go back again.

the hotel wasnt fancy but it was nice the room was nice but there was urine on the bottom of toilet and paint peeling off of wall. the walls are paper thin very noisy if someone is in room next door. we were woke up a couple times at 330 am to noisy people partying.

The side door of the hotel was open after 11p. And the gate leading to the street on the backside of the building was not secured. Place was fine for what we needed, very clean and beds were very comfortable, breakfast was adequit but closed up shop at 9:30am very small unheated pool. Close to restaurants, and beaches. Was there for the college baseball games. The location was inbetween the two fields so that was great! Staff was very nice and helpful with directions and just general questions. WE stayed in a handicap equipped room which was very clean and comfortable for us. The hotel is located on a major road but back just far enough to be quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful when we needed directions. Our only concern was the parking was a bit tight as there were commercial trucks in the parking lot often.

This hotel was convenient and tolerable, but there were some things that would make me think twice about staying there again. One, the fitness center was barely passable--the treadmill worked, but hadn't been cleaned or wiped off in some time. One non-functioning treadmill was covered with a sheet.
