"Quaint cozy and down-home service"
Rooms were clean and home-like, and the service was exceptionally friendly and very helpful in meeting our needs. The hotel van was very efficient in transporting us to our destinations. A definite revisit the next time we have to stay in Houston.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was nice. Close to Rice. Only a few floors which was nice for my aging parents who do not like to stay in hotels with several floors. (Even though they use the elevator. Did not like that the only real parking was across the street.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not perfect in every detail."
The only shortcoming of the Lexington was the poor continental breakfast with its meager selection of items available, the unattractive breakfast room aesthetics which were more like a storage closet than a place to sit, relax and enjoy ones meal; the chaotic layout of the food items and the dreadful maintenance of the food items. I had to ask the clerk […] at the front desk to refill the milk dispenser who did begrudgingly and at a snail's pace. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"A Great Hotel For Those Going to MD Anderson"
I loved my stay at the Lexington. The staff were professional, courteous, and went out of their way for us. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!Genuine Expedia guest review
While the hotel and amenities were superb the staff and their friendliness surpassed a rating of superb. They were courteous, helpful and genuinely kind.Genuine Expedia guest review

It was close to The medical center. The staff was very helpful and plesant. The bed was the best I have slept in! The only thing I didn't care for was the Continental breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"MD Anderson patients will like it"
convenient to MD Anderson and good shuttle serviceGenuine Expedia guest review
Only one member of the staff was nice and helpful. Picked us up numerous times from the hotel and hospital which was awesome. When we arrived the night before the on-call employee was rude and cold. I will never stay here ever again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Family Hospital Emergency"
It was very convenient getting back and forth to the hospital by the hotel shuttle. The staff was very courteous and helpful. They were painting the lobby so that was a little inconvenient but very understandable since it has to be done sometime!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"My Home Away From Home......Literally!"
I stayed at the Lexington for 3 weeks when I had surgery at MD Anderson Medical Center. The staff was absolutely WONDERFUL. The lobby is small but the room we stayed in had lots of space and a full kitchen. It was fully equipped with everything we needed and if we needed anything else, the staff made sure we got it. There was a large amount of space […] for clothing in the closet as well as the dresser drawers. It was very comfortable for myself and my friend that went along as a caretaker. The FREE shuttle was extremely helpful and always took me to my appointments on time with no problems. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient location, helpful staff."
Staff were very helpful with all our needs. The hotel is close to a MetroRail stop so it's particularly convenient for those without a car.Genuine Expedia guest review
The picture on expedia looked better than the actual hotel. I felt uneasy staying in the hotel. The lobby smelled really bad everyday and i refused to eat breakfast there because of the smell. The decor was very dated and it looked like it hasn't been updated in years. However I liked the room size.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Rating Houston's TX Med Ctr Hotel"
The hotel was very conveniently located to MD Anderson Cancer Hospital and Luby's cafeteria for meals. Complimentary breakfast was barely OK. Room and TV was very nice except for one thing. The bed had a three inch mattress enhancer filled with non-absorbent rubber foam that was covered with a thin plastic covering and finally 50% polyester sheets. […] All three were non-absorbent and was like sleeping on cellophane wrap. PJs soaking wet by morning. For second evening I pushed all these off and slept fine on just the mattress. I would pay extra for all cotton sheets and pillow case on top of just a conventional mattress and pad. The hotel staff were very courteous and assisted with transportation to medical center venues. Except for the bed it was a good experience and good value. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Customer service was excellent. Location was convenient to the medical center. The room was clean and large with small kitchen, fridge, stove, etc. The AC was a little loud at night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very good experience"
I certainly recommend this hotel to people who has to visit the medical area. Is very comfortable and the people working there is very kind.Genuine Expedia guest review
Every thing was good staff are so good and helpfull the only thing cleaners should change the tissue boxes with new ones for new comers and toillet paper and all these things .Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Lexington Houston: Mediocrity Defined"
This is a converted two story exterior walk up where the exterior entrances are now enclosed, leaving a situation where many of the rooms have only one window, which opens onto the hotel hallway. Dark and unkempt. Courteous van driver to Texas Medical Center, however.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The hotel that was almost right."
The hotel and location were acceptful, but the front desk was mostly manned by the shuttle driver who had no authority or information to answer questions or offer help. So, for that reason I would not return to this hotel. Also, the breakfast was nothing more than dry cereal and a banana. I found the "breakfast included" advertisement misleading. Should […] say "breakfast snack". Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"5 night stay"
For the price, I thought it was a good deal. Rooms are very large. I kind of thought the neighborhood was a little sketchy, but I felt safe. It's off the beaten path. Parking is well lit and I went out to car late at night and felt safe. This hotel is a little unconventional, compared to other name brand hotels, but was half the price and I would stay […] there again. I accidentally left my wedding rings on the bedside table and they were still sitting there after the cleaning staff was there - speaks highly of them! We didn't use the kitchen, but looked like it was fully equipped. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Okay for a one-nighter.."
The location of the hotel was really nice and close to the medical center, but there was several flaws to the place. Once we checked in to the room we noticed there was food left in the fridge from the previous people staying there. Also there was quite a long list of TV channels to pick from, however we were only limited to 6 channels. (ABC, CBS, NBC, […] FOX, QVC, and Disney). So if your a midnight shopper or traveling with small kids it wouldn't be a problem. The beds were very comfortable, however as a previous review stated, the top feather mattress cover is wrapped in a weird plastic material so tossing and turning sounds as if your sleeping on a toddler mattress and the feathers would keep comming out of the mattress and poke your legs all night long. There also was a burnt iron imprint on the carpet inside our room. The bathrooms are really outdated and the dishes left for you to use are cheap plastic 1960s plates and bowls. Breakfast consisted of some Little Debbie honeybuns, 3 kinds of cereal, pretzels, few bananas and apples and some juice. I opted for a bowl of cereal, and once I was back in the room I found out that the milk they had left for everyone to use had soured and tasted more like buttermilk. I informed the office tenant and was told that he would check it, but after standing next to the machine for several minutes he never came over to check. If you are going to be staying for one night or maybe two, its not all that bad. Just bring your own stuff to make for breakfast in your own room. Also, I would recommend getting a room on the second or third floor. The room that I was staying in was on the bottom floor and I could hear loud talking, doors slamming, and anyone that walked on the floor above us up until 2am. The bathroom shower also made an awful deep growl when you turned the hot water on. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small and very clean hotel."
Probably the cleanest hotel and room we have stayed in around the Houston Medical Center area. No hotel "funk" smells anywhere. This is a small hotel on a small lot. Parking is across a street from the entrance. Entrance is very small and cramped. Forget the "breakfast", it was worth what they charged for it, which was nothing. Overall though, the stay […] was first class and comfortable. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"If you plan on staying and actually cooking..."
This is a good location, clean and well managed. But, as an extended stay hotel, they have no knives, etc. for cooking - you have basic pots/pans, microwave, toaster oven, fridge, etc. But, no knives, cooking spoons, etc. If you know you'll be here a while and plan on cooking, come prepared. Or be prepared to make a run to the Super Target that is a […] few blocks away. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable and pleasing"
I can say that this hotel was very pleasing and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful and I would definitely stay again. The only issue that I came across was that the lights in the hallway were very bright and the windows were only covered with blinds that did not block the light very well. If I stay again I would ask not to be in a […] front room with a big window. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great to stay if visiting Texas Medical Center"
This hotel is very close to the Texas Medical Center, which is why I chose to stay here. The rooms were affordable, and very large, as well as clean. There is a kitchen with dishwasher, small stove, microwave, toaster oven, dishes/utensils, full-sized refrigerator. There are many dressers for storage of clothes/items. The bathroom is very large and […] clean, tiled floors, shower area (no bathtub). The tv has cable. There is also a shuttle driven by the staff that will take you to nearby medical centers, however, I was only able to use it in the mornings; at other times it was gone (probably taking other guests to locations). The hotel was close enough that I was able to walk home from the medical center in about 10-15 minutes. The computer for hotel guests in the lobby was not working when I stayed there- but the room did have free wifi. Breakfast was a selection of cereal, pudding and fruit snack paks, some fresh fruit, coffee, pretzels, etc. The staff was very friendly. Overall, this hotel was very clean and comfortable, close to the medical center, and affordable. If I ever have to travel to the medical center in the future, I will stay at this hotel again. "My Stay @ The Lexington in the Medical Ctr, Hou TX"
I was "very pleased" with this hotel experience. I have stayed at many hotels in my travels and would definitely give this hotel a 4 and a half stars! I would give it 5 only I was a little confused as to why they had an "out of order" sign on their data room (computer room) where you can accomplish a few business tasks away from the noise of the television […] in my own room (shared with other). I did see one patron go in an use it. I was allowed however to sit in the office area and work without disturbance. I am not complaining just because of that one minor inconvenience however. For every other concern I may have had, they were most obliging! I would truly recommend this establishment to my friends and will plan to use them again in the future, should the need arise! "Lexington Medical area"
Good overall experience but be advised of a few negatives. Parking for unloading in front is extremely tight. A suburban length vehichle has difficulty navigating the course. Parking is across the street and does not have security. The lights are even turned off at night. The front doors are lacthed closed at night so you have to wake the attendee to […] exit before 6am. Day sleepers may have some difficulty with maid service. They were able to work with me but their staff (including room cleaning service ) seems very limited. No real complaints though- except concern for safety of your vehichle. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Minature Home"
Even though the room is a room, it was designed to feel more like home... you park your car as if in a garage and come in through the kitchen and into the living room. My favorite was the shower; which was just stone tile, a see-through shower curtain, and gravity to make sure the water didn't escape.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Recommended for Medical Visitors"
My wife has stayed here a few times when she has to come into town for a doctor appointment. She has stayed in other hotels in the area both fancier and more basic and this one is her preference. I spent two nights myself there on separate occasions and the rooms are nice and facilities functional. The building itself is unusual as it looks to have […] been converted from motel-style to hotel-style in that all the room entrances have been enclosed. Also, there are many little signs with rules and notices. Nothing to worry about, but those two things stuck me as odd. The shuttle was helpful, especially since she couldn't drive herself so it saved on taxi fare. The staff was nice and helpful. The kitchenette was a requirement, too, since she has medical supplies that need to stay refrigerated. Parking is spacious. The building is on a side street, but that contributes to the quietness and lack of passing cars. I don't recall much food within walking distance, but a short drive down Fannin and left on Old Spanish Trail and there are plenty of options. This hotel is our best choice balancing proximity to Medical Center, price, comfort and amenities. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable and Friendly"
As a business traveler, I usually stick with a major hotel chain. This was a welcome change...everyone was extremely friendly, the rooms were clean, and the beds were very comfortable. I also liked that it was a little off the beaten path, so it was more relaxing. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others, especially if they are staying […] for a week or more (lends a "homey" feeling). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A PLEASED CUSTOMER"
My husband had surgery at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. We would go to the desk, request a ride to the center, and they would immediately transport us to the hospital. When I called for them to pick us up, the longest we had to wait was 15 minutes. Our room, with two queen beds and a full kitchen was excellent as we stayed nine days. We made a mistake […] and left our GPS in our room after checking out. We called, they secured it and again, immediately sent it to us. We felt safe, it was quiet and yes, we would stay here again. Quite reasonable!!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It's clean and comfortable. And, people running this place are very nice. I arrived at this hotel late night, and had nothing to eat. "nice place to stay"
My husband and I have stayed at the Lexington three times. It is a small motel, but we have never had trouble getting a reservation. The rooms have been clean, the beds are comfortaable, the bathrooms are nice. It is located on a side street between Fannin and Bertner, a very short drive to the Mays clinic and MD Anderson down Bertner. The rooms have […] a small kitchen. Really close to the medical center-convenient. My room was nice, with a full kitchen. The windows were weird in that they looked into the hallway so my room was dark, but most others would not be. No refund for early checkout so plan your stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Hot water pressure for tub and shower was very low. Beds were old and way too soft and lumpy. The room had a old smell. This hotel is very old and really needs an upgrade.
