Nice place to stay. They acturally called our rooms about an hour after check in to ask if our room was satisfactory and was there anything we needed. The hot tub was luke warm, but they fixed it after we told the front desk.

We requested an ADA room for my 87 year old mother. Not only did we not receive one but were not told it wasn't available prior to our arrival. The staff were unapologetic about the switch-up and tried to blame it on Expedia. Plus, we had traveled to attend my uncle's funeral and needed a late check-out (only 1 hour late at 1:00 pm) to accommodate the […] morning funeral and that request was also not honored by the staff. This was particularly annoying and added stress to our trip. The on-duty staff said they didn't have authority to make that decision because the manager was not there. The hotel is clean and pet friendly including a separate "pet relief" area complete with plastic bags and a trash receptacle to dispose of pet waste. The complimentary breakfast was better than most "complimentary" breakfasts supplied by its competitors. Good hotel for the price.

The room was large and comfortable. But several things about this place did not make it worth the money paid. The bed was rather hard and the thing that prevented us from getting a good night sleep was the silly duvet which we need to keep warm. The duvet cover is some kind of slippery polyester material and very heavy. The comforter inside kept slipping […] down inside and almost completely off the bed. Both nights we had to get up and repack the comforter! The bed mattress was also rather hard and uncomfortable. The kleenex box was empty when we arrived and if I hadn't have left a note I'm sure it would not have been replaced. I made a cup of in room coffee but when we returned that evening it had not been cleaned out or extra coffee replaced. The shower head was leaky and sprayed out water on the edge at an uncomfortable angle in our faces while showering that we weren't able to turn around enough to fix. Although this is a fairly new hotel, the construction is poor and I could see it is quickly deteriorating. These seem like petty things but they add up over time and when there are other hotels that are equal in rates I will most likely stay in another hotel next time we are in the area. Read more

My visit was okay. Although I booked a room (2 adults, 2 children) with a sofa bed. When I arrived, the sofa bed did not have sheets on them. I had to go back to the front desk to request for it. This was nice for a one night stop. I would stay here again. It is a little pricey for the location. They act like it is right next to the Casino. I looked at a few different places to stay and this look the cleanest of all the other places to stay. I guess it is just expensive to stay in the big city of Dodge City.

My reservations were not as I specified. I ask for non-smoking rooms and received mostly smoking rooms. Had 4 rooms for one night, 12 for another night, and 4 for the other night. I was very unsatisfied with Hotels.com. and will never book through them again, depending on the outcome of this email.

This hotel looks good in the lobby but our room was run down. The counter top and inside of the shower looked very old. The plaster on the wall in the bathroom was cracked and coming loose from the wall in a large section. I reserved a room with a bed and a sofa bed but there were no pillows or blankets in the closet (or any place else) for the sofa […] bed. I gave my grandson a pillow from my bed. There were only two towels in the bathroom and we planned to swim as well as shower. I called the front desk to request a couple more towels and a blanket for the sofa bed. The girl said I would have to come get it myself because "I'm the only one here" at about 4 pm. The hotel needs more insulation because we could hear kids running up and down the halls and doors slamming somewhere on the floor below us until at least 11 pm. On the bright side...they had a pretty good hot breakfast the next morning. Read more

After careful consideration of other hotels along Wyatt Earp Blvd, we selected La Quinta based on other reviews in this website. I'm glad we did. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Our King room was spacious and clean. No complaints on noise level (we were directly across from the elevator on the 4th Floor) or odd smells. Bedding was clean, […] no visible stains or damage. The free breakfast was very satisfying. Along with the usual spread of "cold" breakfast items (bagels, fruits, cereal), there were eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy and waffles. My room was hotter than I like, and adjusting the thermostat did not seem to have any effect. Also my room had the "blinking 12:00" clock that would not set. I reported that to the desk, was told it would be changed. It wasn't. The "flicker" that allowed at night was annoying. Other than those issues it was a pleasant stay.

The bathroom sink in our room wasn't cleaned and there was toothpaste still on the counter from the prior people who stayed there. Plus the plastic cups provided in the room, weren't sealed inside the cover, the outside plastic cover was just pushed in around the cup, so I'm not sure if they reused the cups or not. We have stayed in multiple hotels […] on our trip to the USA, and this was the only one where we found the room to be dirty/uncleaned.
