Overall, I enjoyed my recent stay at the Colomba Hotel. The hotel is very conveniently located two blocks from the Duomo and Academy Gallery. It is a family-run business and the family does take great pride in their hotel. My room (#7) was located right off the kitchen, so it was slightly noisy in the morning, but this really didn't bother me much. Otherwise, the room was quite spacious for a European hotel. At night, the family was usually eating dinner and watching TV in the kitchen area (they live upstairs, I believe), so it felt a little weird walking thru there in the evening. But with that said, I'd definitly stay here again as the hotel was well-run, clean, and very convenient.

The location is very convenience and close to all attractions. breakfast is great.only one thing is the WIFI is not free, unlike the Best western Olimpia in Venice where WIFI is free.

The hotel is in an amazing place; close to all the actions. The room and everything was in perfect condition. Staff very helpful, courteous and friendly. The breakfast was good but it did not include eggs and omelette; those were extra charges.

Accomodations and location were terrific. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They even helped us with a car issue.

For a really last minute trip to Florence, this B&B was very accommodating, I booked only one night and decided to stay an extra and they were able to keep me in the same room and did not get upset for such last minute request. really close to the termini S.M Novella and like 10 minutes from the Main plaza with the Dome and all the transportation. The room was very clean and very nice for a B&B.

"Lots of character"
We loved the size of our room and the beautiful ceiling masterpeice. The breakfast was nice, the hotel workers were friendly, and we really enjoyed our stay!
"Elegant, limited-frills hotel in good location"
The hotel offers clean, modern rooms. The hotel is small, it offers only 20 some rooms. The decor is minimalist, but in the style of Florence. We rented a three-bed room. Not very big. I could take a peek into one of the two bigger rooms and they are more spacious, but they only have two bigger rooms. The concierge is only open from 9 am to 7 pm and […] they don't have room service, but I never use room service anyway. The bathrooms are very clean and modern. The only tricky part was how to figure out the temperature control of the shower. But we managed. The hotel is about 200 yards from the duomo on a quiet street. The breakfast was as good as any of the three 4-star hotels we visited in Italy. The internet connection was very good, better than at fancier hotels. I can recommend this hotel if you look for a clean, reasonable-priced, decent place to start your Florence experience. If you expect fancy hotel service, try another hotel. Read more
"Great location and very quiet"
A great find just 3-4 mins walk from the Duomo and within easy reach of all the other sights. No Restaurant or Bar so really a good quality B & B. Continental breakfast only. "Amazing Hotel with friendly staff"
Hotel was simply beautiful with a huge shower! The room was so lovely and the staff really friendly, a big change coming from our hotel in Rome.

Enligt bilderna skulle vi bo i ett enkelt rum. Fick ett mycket finare rum än förväntat. Alla rummen är olika inredda och olika stora, en del naturligtvis mer påkostade. Badrummet var helkaklat och fräscht. rummet hade fantastiska takmålningar och väggfresker från 1830-talet. Mycket lugnt och tyst med liten balkong mot innergård. Endast 5 minuters promenad […] från domen och ytterligare någon minut till Ponte Vecchio. Frukostbuffén mycket bra för att vara i Italien, med fantastiskt kaffe! Nous n'avons séjourné que 2 nuits dans cet hôtel mais tout était parfait! Les réceptionnistes vraiment très aimable et généreuse en conseils de qualité pour les restaurants...L'hôtel est très bien situé à même pas deux minutes à pied de la fameuse piazza del duomo! nous y retournerons!
"Wunderschöner Palazzo"
Kann das Hotel sehr empfehlen, sehr liebevoll rennovierter Palazzo gleich in der Nähe vom Duomo. Alle Zimmer individuell gestaltet, sehr freundliches Personal - sogar mit kleinen Innenhofbalkon und schönem Stiegeneingangsbereich. Wirklich empfehlenswert!!

"Going by bus"
The hotel is a bit far if you go on foot from the Central Train Satation. It took us almost half an hour with our heavy luggage to walk there. Then we found out there's a bus, number 14, which could take us back to the Central Station later on. The bus stop is just right outside the hotel and the bus also stops right outside the station. Awesome.
