"perfect for arena stay"
Great place...clean...comfy....wifi difficult to access though....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Perfect for a small family as the kitchen is a major plus, However the Hotel is by far the noisiest I have ever stayed at which is a major minus.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not the hotel or apt. I expected"
Bed room was not clean, the staff was normal (not very friendly). But reasonable for family staying.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
City Nites is not fancy - but it does the job if you are in town for a convention. It is not a hotel, but more like corporate apartments. The kitchen is nice. The bedrooms have old carpet and poor window coverings (light from streetlamp comes through the window). The bathrooms are nice - and strong showers - which is rare. Overall - if you don't need […] the amenities of a hotel - it is a good choice. Birmingham itself - is quite dreadful - so if you have a choice skip the town altogether. "9 days of pure satisfaction"
This is a great place to relax and chill. I thought before I stayed that the apartments were not going to be what I had thought it would be because of certain reviews which people wrote. I clearly saw why people wrote reviews that were not so good and exaggeration. The hotel staff is wonderful and yes they are a combination of people from different […] backgrounds. Hello we live in Great Britain! The rooms were very clean and well prepared with everything inside including washer and dryer with a dish washer. All modern appliances and plenty of room to stretch out. I really like the area with is right next to the NIA and brantley place with a lot of shops and restaurants to enjoy during the day and night. Now there is a £250 deposit that is refunded which I had no problem with. This is a prime time location and a lot of young adults from university might stay for a weekend to party. This is not the hotel for that. These apartments are nice and people do actual live here and the rest of the apartments are rented out. So after 11pm no loud, loud noise. Also people are not allowed to congregate in your rooms unless you get written athority from the manager which I did with no problem. No smoking at all in the rooms. If you violate these rules then your deposit will not be refunded. Just keep it basic and everything will be alright. I really had a nice time and am already planning my trip back . Again, the place is really night for a getaway ! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"City nites birmingham"
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The bed could be more comfortable though. The location is great, right next to NIA. The kitchen was excellent with all the things one may require. They have a free DVD library but i could not use it. I stayed there for 6 days and found Daniel at the front office very helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Really friendly staff and great, modern and comfortable apartments. So much so, in fact, I'll be staying there again next week :)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
In general I was very pleased with the service. The receptionist even loaned me a charger for my telephone. I was disappointed not to be able to use the TV. Had I stayed another night I would have asked for room service to get it sorted as the instructions were not clear referring to freeview box when there wasn't one ! Also I was surprised not to have […] mattress covers between sheets and mattress. I have stayed here several times and in most cases am very happy with my stay. "Avoid if you want to avoid poor sleep and ripoffs"
I arrived at City Nites tired after a long day of travel and about to start several hours work on my laptop. The check -in process was laborious, parking steep at £10 and you had to go back downstairs to put a receipt in your car window - surely if they have your registration, whoever checks could do so against a list? Having to put a deposit down […] was irritating, more about that later. A series of codes was given for different door access - again, fobs would be easier. The apartment was tired & magnolia, uncomfortable plastic sofas, dated furniture, a broken spatula stared at me from the broken kitchen surface, 3 non-functioning remotes adorned the TV. 2 light bulbs were out, the whole place smelled of damp and desperation. Wireless internet dropped out every 5 mins.Traffic noise at the front notable but luckily I had a 2-bed apartment so slept in the second bedroom. King bed was made up of two single mattresses, the carpark was floodlit permanently, the curtains a poor fit and very thin. Gave up on sleep at 6.30 when I was woken by the light and checked out, bleary eyed, leaving my key at reception. They called me later to say they would be keeping my deposit to repaint 'footprints on a wall' in a room I HADN'T BEEN IN! I expressed surprise, She checked, called back and said they would return my deposit after all. I was fuming at this accusation. Avoid. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"my 4th time staying at city nites"
City nites keeps impressing me. Had to get my business partner and his wife to lodge at city nites with us. They're so impressed that they're planning to come back in august with their whole family. What more can i say. ...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"hard to review as we refused to stay there!"
The hotel was quite hard to locate, as no sign on the building. On finally finding it, we were HORRIFIED to be asked for a sizeable "deposit" to cover potential damage to the accommodation. We are widely travelled, from Hong Kong to Montevideo, have stayed in all types of accommodation from guest houses to 5 star hotels, and have never once been asked […] for a deposit - moreover, even had we paid said deposit in cash, it would have been returned, not in cash likewise, but to our bank account. Due to this, and also to the generally scruffy and unkempt reception area, we requested immediate return of our payment for the room, and sought and found alternative accommodation. "City Nites Birmingham"
My mum and myself stayed at the City Nites Birmingham.. as I needed somwhere close to the NI A for the show we had booked. The taxi from town centre only cost £6 and the NIA was literally across the road!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent quality rooms which are very spacious and layed out wellGenuine Hotels.com guest review
apartment was massive, clean and modern and for the money you cant complain I would defiantly choose to stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"It was ok"
There was this stupid deposit charge of £250 that they took from our bank as we arrived. And we still haven't had it back a week later. Not happy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
City Nites were fantastic as always, rooms are very spacious and have all you need for your stay. Wifi can be a little bit "iffy" but overall would always recommend them for comfort, value for money and location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"good if you're going to the NIA"
We booked this hotel as we had ticket to a show at Birmingham NIA for convenience. It was literally next to it but on arrival you have to pay a £250 deposit which you are not informed of on the website and it takes 4 days to get your money back. It was clean but not to my standards. For the price though i think it was ok, i would use again if going […] to the NIA. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lovely hotel - be aware of deposit!!"
Upon arrival - checked into hotel and had warm welcome - very clean and welcoming. I had to pay car parking which is steep at 10pounds a night. However, I was then told a 250pound deposit would need to be taken in case of any damage. Being unaware if this just 2 days before payday I was very annoyed - needless to say I paid. Room was beautiful - everything […] needed was there. However, felt extremely unable to relax due to the steep deposit. Would recommend checking apartments on arrival. Very clean place to stay and perfect location. Apart from deposit lovely stay Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

We needed to be near the N.I.A. and we couldn't have been much closer.Harry was carrying the Standard at the Tattoo. The first impression when we entered the room was how clean it smelled.Apart from the lack of hot water on Sunday morning, which was sorted.our stay was very enjoyable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"city nites Birminghamh"
Perfectly placed to access the nia and surrounding areas. Good value for money. Although be aware of £250 RETAINER.Required on collecting your key. This requirement was not clear on my or colleagues booking confirmation. Would still use this apartment again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Location - Lousy front desk"
Booked 3 apartments but somehow they were all located in different blocks, I booked a month in advance but no attempt to move or even presence of mind to put in the same or next block,,,,, The apartments were great and very roomy but had to give £250 per apartment deposit as opposed to per stay (although it was a preauth not a charge)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
As always the stay at City Nites was without fault, great apartment, staff very helpful and would always recommend this to friends and colleagues.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for NIA Events"
Great for Events at NIA, Large studio flat style apartments, Parking was secure but charged at £10 for 24 hours - no real street parking available.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Lots of space - like a home away from home"
This is the first time I have stayed in serviced apartments and I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. Easy check in then straight to your apartment which was very clean and spacious. All mod cons in the kitchen. The only minor complaint I have is the bed wasn't that comfortable but this would not stop me from staying here again. A few reviews […] have complained about the £250 deposit but mine was returned to my account with a day of checking out. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A home away from home"
A one night last minute booking in Birmingham, and I got an apartment for less than a hotel room. Fully equipped kitchen, and spacious one bedroom apartment - I was sorry to only be there for one night! I arrived at 9am to drop my bags, and was able to check straight in to my accommodation. I received a courtesy call soon after leaving to check that […] all had been OK. I would definitely recommend City Nites, and would stay again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Lovely hotel, brilliant location. Want to watch out for the £250 deposit - after leaving, my partner and I were accused of breaking a bath panel when we only were there to sleep and 1 of us took a shower without touching the side of the bath so that was £50 gone. Lovely rooms though but a thorough inspection for any scratches or breakages is recommended […] to ensure you too don't get charged for something you didn't do. Enjoyed our stay, perfect location for the NIA. Helpful staff, apartment was lovely. Only negative was with paying the £250.00 deposit we felt like we couldn't relax in the room just incase.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"very good but not perfect"
really enjoyed our stay at city nites as my wife and I went to see micky Flanagan at nia. it was literally a 1 minute walk to the arena. room was spacious with 2 bedrooms and great kitchen. one or two minor incidents. the French doors leading onto the patio area would not lock and as other people had access to patio area my wife was slightly nervous […] about sleeping with the doors unlocked. did see front desk but the handyman was unable to fix problem and no alternative room was offered.also 1 or 2 loose floor tiles in bathroom. also I had to give my credit card details with a £250 hold on it in case of damage which I thought was a bit out of order. Dreadful i didnt even stay as they expected £250 as a room deposit even though i had paid up front, i had already (unfortunately) checked in and paid an extra £10 for parking when they told me about this deposit and even though i didnt stay there and asked for my parking to be re-inbursed they didnt/havent !DisgracefulGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"my stay near the NIA"
arena view hotel was excellent, more like a flat if i honest. the staff were brilliant and it says that its 0.4 of a mile from the NIA when actually its more like 100 yards.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very nice apartment"
We stayed one night whilst attending the NIA. The apartment was very nice. Would come back again. Nice staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Deposit return delay"
My apartment was fine, though laminate is less welcoming than carpet. Pillows were synthetic filled, which is not comfortable. However, as this is a universal problem, apart from the highest quality hotels, I alsways carry a down pillow with me. My only real grouse is that the £250 deposit will not be repaid for 5 working days. I paid this by Santander […] debit card, and was told that, although City Nites also use Santander, "The bank will not repay for five working days, which is standard." That is total nonsense. If my payment reaches their account instantly, they can easily instruct Santander to repay the depoit by the Faster Payment system, which is standard these days. I can see no reason for them to hold my money for a week and, until their policy is changed to ensure repayment of the deposit is made immediately after the room inspection, I shall not use City Nites again. "great location for NIA and Brindley Place"
Lovely spacious apartment, enormous bed, fantastic location. Wifi wasn't working the day we were there but this was beyond their control and as we were there for leisure rather than work this didn't impact greatly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Sub standard apartment, good location. I can't see how this is a hotel alternative. For the price per night I could get a five star all inclusive, put I had to put a £250 deposit down which they find all the excuses in the world not to repay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel near to the conference place"
It was lovely and comfortable place to stay The rooms spacious with good linen working well heating system It would be a lot better and safer to have a support in the bathroom next to the shower to avoid to slip and to hit and hurt selfGenuine Expedia guest review

"Dont forget your deposit!!"
Overall my stay was very enjoyable - I was only there for 1 night as I was at a concert in the NIA which is literally across the road. Rooms were perfect, clean and comfortably. Staying in an apartment much better than a hotel room. Staff were nice but don't forget that you need to be able to pay a deposit of £250 which I didn't know about. It will […] be preauthoriszed on your credit card and if you've no card and pay with cash, you wont get cash back, rather funds will be transferred back to your bank account after a few days. Don't have cash or card, simply put you wont be staying in City Nites. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The rooms themselves are great, plenty of room and facilities. They take a big deposit, which I haven't ha back yet, but I haven't chased it up either. I searched for this hotel as being close to the LG Arena, actually its near ICC, so we had to pay for a big taxi ride across the city.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The overall stay and price was good. The only annoying thing is that the deposit of £250per room wasn't made clear when booking.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Apartment next to nina arena"
Rooms are nothing like the pictures on internet, poor electric convector heaters, two single beds pushed together, poor soaps etc , squeaky floors in general very disappointing . Had to pay 250 pounds deposit which I paid in cash and would only return my deposit in three days absolutely rediculasGenuine Expedia guest review
"More fun than staying in a hotel"
Great accommodation. Could be a little more 'polished' as there was a very bad iron burn on the carpet in the bedroom. Overall there was loads of space - it was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. Great if you're going to a concert etc in Birmingham. Very basic supplies so you could at least make a cup of tea/coffee - for the price - I'd be happy […] to stay again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"good central location and very quiet."
It was an ideal location for our short stay.... but our apartment was ridiculously hot as we had no windows that opened ....I understand why they didn't due to health and safety but during the summer months provisions need to be made as my son and I didn't sleep very well so what should have been a relaxing , restful stay resulted in us both returning […] home to Kent exhausted.
