Not anywhere near a 4star hotel as advertised. Reception staff expected to act as barkeeper. No Tea/coffee facilities in room. No tea/coffee available in bar until 9am when they are SOOOOO busy. Breakfast offered brilliant for 6 euros, evening meal unappetising.

Good hotel, but I will not rate it more than 3 stars. I do criticize the hotels. com by not having the same description on the english website as the spanish. The hotel is 20 min away from the beach not on site; the facilities such as internet, sauna, gym, pool, etc, could be used by everyone as long as you pay 5 Euros per person per day( this was not specified in the description on hotels. com). There is a small refrigerator in the room used as a bar but can be converted to a fridge for 3 euros/ day. No cofee makers in the room. Beds were comfortable but pillows were hard and long, terrible to sleep on. Personnell was very nice although my husband had to argue with the manager to get internet in our room since in the description said free internet access and the hotel wanted to charge us. Food was good and varied. From March to May is senior citizens season. Although the hotel had some arranged nights out, all were for the eldery not for children. Although the hotel was not full we were given a room on the 8th floor that had the view to local apartments with clothes hanging to dry on the balconies(terrible view) , thanks God we left in the morning and came back late at night.Since no rooms have convertors of voltage next time I will pick an american hotel. As a sugestion to anyone who wants to go over sees: it is good not to trust the online description. Before you book call the hotel! Almost everyone speaks English there.

The Castillo de Denia perches high above the original village of brightly-painted former fishermen’s houses in this relatively quiet, low-key, family resort. The adjacent newer part of town is typically Spanish with many elegant 19th-century buildings. Denia’s seafront includes a working port, a marina, excellent fish restaurants, ferries to the Balearic Islands, and a broad, long, sandy beach that stretches for many miles.
