"Lovely Hotel Shame About the Noise"
My partner and I stayed at the Hotel over the weekend on business. The Hotel itself is lovely. The rooms are nice and comfortable and well presented. However, the hotel hosted parties on both nights that we stayed there so there was blasting music until 2am and lots of drunk people shouting outside, as well as inside if they were staying the night. terrible cheap hotel, staff look like they have been dragged through a hedge, scruffy uniforms, did not know if the person on reception worked there, maybe it is the casual approach but i certainly dont like it . I used to live in Ashton up until recently as stay in the area regularly when in manchester on business. This hotel ususally is rather expensive but I managed to get a deal so I thought I would try it. The hotel itself is exceptional, not a single fault and booked again for the following week. "de ja vu, but nothing to watch"
Same old village hotel they all look the same. Great service as always, foods not bad. But as with all the tv selection is rubbish not even free view, shame as food wifi and tv have to be most important for business guests.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Glossy but stingy!"
For £100 a night one would expect wardrobes, decent toiletries , robes and slippers. Had none of these!! It's just a glossy looking premier inn.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Value For Money"
First visit to Manchester in 10 years despite spending my up brining there, the whole area has been redeveloped since leaving and it was nice to see how well the hotel fitted in, with good access routes from both the motorway and also local transport. First time we have used this Hotel chain, but will not be the last, rooms were excellent, staff very […] pleasant, and despite the queue's for breakfast, which was to be expected, everything worked like clockwork. "Poor value for money"
I booked 2 x Double Room Includes: English Breakfast Free Parking Free Wireless Internet discounted through Expedia at £112.20 for a business trip. Without the discount we would have been unable to book this hotel as would have exceeded the limit in my employers travel policy for stays in the UK. On arrival we were informed that it was a standard room […] but we could upgrade for £20 but we couldn't due to the travel policy limit. My biggest complaint was that for the discounted rate of £112 we didn't even get a bath in the room, just a shower as you would find in a budget hotel. Even if only a 'standard' room, for the class of hotel, the room rate and Expedia's description below I expected a bath to relax in a bath as part of my wind down after a hard day, : Expedia's description: 'The private bathroom has a shower/tub combination' I recommend avoiding the homemade baked cheesecake. What I was served was a what appeared and under baked soggy mess that I couldn't stomach. However it was replaced with a very nice tiramisu. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Perfect for a night away from home. The Upper Deck rooms are great with flat screen TVs, Bose iPod dock and a very comfortable bed. The coffee and tea in the room is supplied by Starbucks and the finish everywhere in the hotel is first class. Excellent hotel and facilities. Vinny & Vitos lovely food at great prices. Breakfast lots of choice. 10 minutes from Manchester city centre although it looks as though the tram line is opening near the hotel soon that would save money on taxis. Lovely hotel, very clean, comfy bed and a lovely breakfast, a good choice of danish pastry's, croissants, full english, cereal and fruit etc. I have to admit I tried most of it! "Great hotel for £75/£80 a night"
great hotel. I paid £80 a night through Trivago / Expedia, but I do not think the hotel is worth the over £100 a night. Especially as you have to upgrade to upper deck (approx £130 a night) to get decent TV.Genuine Expedia guest review

"New Year's Day"
Used to what you get from Village Hotels but rather disappointed that facilities were closed early on Jan 1. Told that Leisure club would close at 6pm even though I'd phoned two days earlier and told they would be opened until 10pm. Stayed with wife and boys aged 11 and 9. Family rooms in 'new style' Village Hotels are very cramped with two single rollaway […] beds stuffed in, compared to the spacious rooms in the older hotels. After walking to local cineworld and deciding to return to hotel at 8pm, on arriving at the restaurant we were told at 8.15pm that they were closing!! Room service it was in said cramped room. Service at breakfast at 8.30am was decidedly unattetntive. We had to ask for itens to be replenished and had to end our breakfast amid a table full of dirty dishes as the two staff on duty chatted away at the entrance. Pool was excellent when we could get in. Would be nice to go for a swim with kids BEFORE breakfast, but kids not allowed until 9am, breakfast ending 9.30am! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Value for money"
We booked a family room 2 adults and 2 children both under 3 years of age. The room was nice clean, but had just put an additional 2 single beds in a normal double room which was ok i guess considering we were only staying there for 1 Night, (the single beds not very comfortable) could have been annoying if were there longer. Also the kingsize bed wasnt […] really a kingsize bed just 2 single beds put together. Staff at the restaurant were very helpful when i asked for warm milk for the kids they obliged without any issues. Busy place a lot going on during christmas, would be nice to spend some more time there and use some of there leisure facilities. Would prob book two rooms though or male sure we got a proper family room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A great hotel!!"
I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone. We stayed at this hotel for the one night whilst we went to watch a concert at the MEN Arena in Manchester. The location of the hotel was perfect for us, we were around a 15 minute drive from the city centre or a 10 minute train journey. The location of the hotel was also perfect for us, right opposite […] the hotel were food outlets such as Nando's, Harvester, KFC and a Chinese buffet. On the same complex was a Hollywood Bowl and a Cinemas. The hotel itself was outstanding. The warm welcome was great after a long drive from where we live and we were directed to our room which was spotless. The room consisted of a high bed, dim lights and a wet room which was perfect for our stay. The hotel facilities were also great. After the concert at the MEN Arena we stayed in the bar for a few drinks and the atmosphere was very friendly. We never tried the hotel swimming pool and sauna as we were short on time. But i do plan to stay here again and I do plan to use the facilities. Overall, this is a great hotel and one of the smartest and most elegant hotels I've stayed in for the price we paid. 5 stars! "Need to review staff"
Second time in this hotel and first time we actually had any food there. We found the menu very basic and the giggly schoolgirl service not really what we expected from this hotel. Breakfast was poor as well. One customer moaned they waited 20 minutes for orange juice and I found only having apricot jam available a bit of a shame. The room was nice, […] though found it odd there was no services manual to explain things like wifi passwords etc. I stay in lots of hotels and wouldn't go out of my way to moan but as an email from Expedia asked for my feedback I've provided it. Won't be staying again or recommending to others. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not really a family hotel"
We travelled with two small children and specifically booked this hotel as it had a swimming pool. The first thing we received when we booked in was a sheet of paper which told us when children were allowed in the pool. Children were not allowed in the pool after 5pm Mon-Thurs, which we found disappointing as we wanted to tire them out before bedtime! […] The "family room" was quite cramped with two small children. We really didn't feel this was a family-friendly hotel and much better suited to adults. Staff were really a mixed bag - the people in the restaurant at breakfast were usually really nice and helpful, although the front desk staff could be hit or miss - some got a bit grumpy when we asked them to fix our door key as it had stopped working - which we had to do every day. We ended up leaving a day early and were relieved to get home! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Swimming pool timing for children is appaling."
1) Children can only use swimming pool between 10am to 12 pm and 2pm to 5pm. Stayed there over Christmas break and couldn't go out for shopping as the time we were suppose to shop, we had to spend in pool with kids otherwise they were not allowed after 5. 2) Room was too small and too dark. 3) Staff was rude.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"De Vere Village - Ashton under Lyme"
Public areas and staff OK In my view there is a major problem with the rooms. There is not a single drawer, shelf unit or cupboard in the rooms. The only clothes storage is 6 hangers which are open plan, not in a wardrobe. You have to line your socks and underwear up along the top of the headboard. OK for one night maybe, hopeless for a week. Receptionist […] acknowledged that many guests were of the same view. For the rates charged the room was also under size. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Village Hotel - Ashton Moss - Watch Bar Prices"
I have stayed at this hotel for the past 3 years, as we go Christmas Shopping at the Trafford Center which is only a short car trip away. But on this year stay the Bar prices have gone up I think ! the reason I say this they seemed to be two different traffiff's a dearer one for residence staying and a cheaper one for the locals. They was a differance […] of 50p a pint and the reason I know this was I found a receipt on the bar for exactly the same drinks I purchased but was 50 p a pint cheaper. We did have to que for breakfast on the Sunday morning we were leaving, but it was not for long and was not suprising as the hotel was full due to Saturday Christmas Party guest staying overnite.
