We couldn't believe our good fortune getting such a comfortable room with a magnificent view of the "Balcony of Europa" right outside our little balcony. Perhaps in the summertime the square would be too noisy, but in the off-season, we enjoyed our lovely spot and doing a lot of 'people-watching' from the comfort of our room. We even got to watch a wedding taking place at the cathedral in the square. Perfect! Our only quibble was that the front-desk staff (other than a lovely woman named Maria) was not very helpful or friendly.

...in a world of high-end, hi-priced, glamour Hotels that clamor for our attention (I´m staying at one now, the W in Barcelona), the Villa Flamenca stands out as a very reasonably priced, funky-cool, classic, southern Spain "haven of rest" that plays host to travelers from all across Europe. The Asst. Mgr. (Mike?) and all of the Staff was incredibly helpful to this 1st time Espana traveler who pulled up in a rental car knowing anything. The room was very clean, the bed was basic, but reasonably comfortable. And the breakfast was great (as judged by this Texas boy). The view from my small patio on the 4th floor was amazing -- the sea, the town sloping down to the beach, the swimming pool. A 5 min walk to the beach, the Flamenca is nestled among the residences and restaurants of Nerja making this 1 afternoon, night, morning stay memorable. I only wish I could´ve stayed longer. The only down-side is that the walls are not real sound-proof.

Not too difficult to find, and a real surprise. The food was good, and plentiful. The rooms were large and the housekeeping good. The beach was just was i needed, a place to walk and enjoy. it is NOT a Four Seasons...but a very good value for the excellent price we paid. We would definetly stay there again. The other people were old, as the other reviews said...but so are we!!! Felt right at home.

Relativt nytt hotell med flott badeanlegg og beliggenhet. Almunecar ligger i et område hvor få behersker engelsk. Dette gjelder også personalet på hotellet. Hotellet ligger noen kilometer utenfor Almunecar. Det er greit å komme inn til byen med buss og taxi. Parkering i byen med egen bil er imidlertid vanskelig.
