I was pleasantly surprised by the value. Hot breakfast was included. Very fast good wi-fi was included. Coupons for free wine and beer in three hotel restaurant watering-holes were provided. Room is a standard hotel room with plenty of space. Extras like microwave, fridge, ironing board, and a real desk with rolling chair were present. Shampoos, soaps, and lotions and plenty of linens were presented. Only issue was those people using their free drink coupons got very happy and loud much of the night both nights. It didn't ruin my day or night. Life is life.

The Lookaway Inn was a great spot on our stay in N. Augusta, SC for a concert in Augusta, GA. The staff was very friendly, in particular Sammy, who was there during check-in and check-out. He gave us a tour of the beautiful main building and gave us some of the history of the home. Our room was spacious and spotless. The beds were very comfortable. We didn't want for anything. They have a beautiful courtyard that would be very nice in pleasant weather. The Inn was also very close to downtown Augusta, GA (much more so than the chain hotels out on I-20) but felt 'safer' than venues down around Broad Street. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. Two items to be aware of: the TV's are small but they are HD so we found them very easy to watch. The floors are all hardwoods so if anyone is walking above you with shoes on you'll hear them. This was a wonderful place to stay!

The telephone didn't work. I prefer a top sheet over the blanket, so I went to the desk to get one. The front desk girl seemed more interested in her phone than us.

Requested a double bed on hotels.com but when I arrived at hotel for checkin, the front desk clerk advised that they do not have double beds only queen... beds. She stated they have upright beds. This is not my first time staying at this hotel and it definitely will not be my last, the hotel is clean, in great area being close to everything, and the staff is amazing! There was no outside noise distractions, the staff was helpful, and the bed was perfect! I love that Candlewood has a full kitchen located in the rooms, it gives the place a feel […] that is more like home. I always recommend Candlewood Suites to everyone I know who is looking for a poace to get away, either romantically or just to get away from life for a moment. When I first arrived to the hotel, it took a while for the front desk employee to come out. I got to my room and I was consumed with the smell of cigarette smoke. I was exhausted at this point and went to bed, but could hardly stand it. I called down to the front desk and she immediatley switched my room. The rest of the week was great. A small store provided an opportunity to purchase snacks and there is free coffee in your room and at the store but if breakfast is required for your stay you will not find it here. That is really the only negative that I found here.

All I can say, after the last two hotels, I had gotten sour, on hotels. They restored my trust in hotels again. Friendly staff, very clean hotel. eveything you would need,including work out room. Will surley use them again, if needed!!!

Friendly, informative staff. Clean room. The shelf of DVDs to check out, and an honor system pantry stocked with bottled drinks, candy, snacks, coffee, etc. were very welcoming. Convenient location. Neither of us were too keen on the bed, but we really liked staying at Candlewood.

For the money, it was a good value. I understand it is an extended stay hotel, but I still wish it included morning paper and breakfast.
