My go-to hotel in this area is the Springhill Suites, which was booked my last trip, so I stayed at this hotel. It was OK. The room felt long and skinny and it had all the amenities. Breakfast was a little less than stellar. Everything was clean. Barely saw the staff – so can’t comment other than my check-in which was fine.

Only reason this place does not get a 5 is its 20 minutes from downtown Boulder, and the rooms are a bit "bland"? No microwave. No refrigerator. Very small LCD TV mounted on the wall. It’s a very clean hotel, food was decent at breakfast, and they have a 2-story pool/slide that the kiddies will LOVE, but again, missing some basic amenities in the room. […] Hotel staff is also very nice. Hotel was newer, good breakfast, and staff was very helpful letting us check in early since we arrived early. Location has a lot of shopping and restaurants nearby. Construction going on around the hotel which can be noisy if you're wanting to sleep in.

Our room was very clean and the staff was very nice. My family and I stayed in Longmont for a family event and found this hotel very accommodating. The rooms were a good size however our room was to have a fridge and microwave and didn't. Otherwise our beds were comfortable and linens were nice and soft. I thought it was nice that here had nice pillow […] cases indicating firm and soft pillows. Our 2 year old loved the toddler pool and the frog slide. The pool was never over crowded so that was nice for our little one to have the run of the pool. They also have a good size pool with a run water slide. In the mornings their continental breakfast was great with lots of options that change daily. Around the hotel there are many dining options for every price range. There is also a super Target and Kohls in case you forgot things. Read more

I was given a handicap room for starters. I'm not handicapped. Everything was lower in scale to my height. Next there was no remote for the TV. When the rote arrived the back cover was off. It didn't work on the TV. I moved to another room.

Overall good stay. Couple of good restaurants very close by make lunch and dinner a breeze if you need it. A couple of issues brought the rating down. Pool area was nice with a Hot tub, kids pool with a great frog slide fit for toddlers and a main pool with a large slide. Im sure when the pool systems are working they are even better. Hot tub was luke […] warm, pool was cold and slide was not working. Our room was decent and smelled new. The cover to the window unit was broken off and the controls on it made you think they work. The controls are on the wall with the thermostat which once you play around enough you can get it working right. Breakfast in the morning was great, we got 2 pancakes before the pancake maker broke. Lady working the breakfast area was great, one of the nicest people here. Really the thing that stood out was how nice the people were all over the hotel. If this hotel was better maintained the score would have been much higher. Too many things were broken / not working to give a free pass. One thing maybe, but not one thing in each major area of the hotel. Beds were super comfy and everything seemed very clean. HBO had sound but no picture... whats the point? May stay again but not likely since this ended up being a last minute choice for a night away and many other choices were booked. Read more

We opted to stay in Longmont instead of Boulder because it was closer to our next day's destination -- Estes Park -- and because the Holiday Inn Express in Longmont had a better rate (plus free parking and a great free breakfast) than most other options in Boulder. Such a great decision! The hotel is in a nice suburban area with many places to eat, […] a movie theatre and a Kohl's deptartment store in sight of the hotel. The room was comfortable, if a tad small, but we have a family of 5 and could still fit a roll-a-way bed in the room. The highlight for the kids was the pool and water-slide. My 6 year old son was still talking about the slide days later! There were free, just-out-of-the-oven chocolate chip cookies upon our arrival. Best of all, after a long, busy day, we had our pick of many decent restaurant choices within 1/2 a mile, choosing to walk across the parking lot to Outback Restaurant. For the most part, we were satisfied w/the hotel. However, I hadn't noticed when I booked the room, that the double did not come w/a fridge. When I called the front desk, they said they'd bring one up if they had an extra one, which they did. Good thing that the young man that brought it up had boxers on because his pants were hanging below his butt. […] Might be stylish but not very professional. The breakfast was OK. Your typical hotel continental. The oj and the apple juice were watered down however. There is a computer for guests to use near the lobby. There should be a time limit on use because when I wanted to get on there for a couple of minutes to check for directions, I couldn't because of another guest that was using it. I checked 3 times over the span of an hour or more and he was still on there every time. The pool and hot tub were nice. For a hotel, the big blue slide was pretty good! This is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review on a hotel. This hotel was fantastic! Specifically, I am very happy with the service. The young man at the front desk was awesome. He was friendly and did everything he could to help with any requests we had. The lady that was in charge of the morning buffet was also great. She was friendly, […] attentive, and helpful. So much so that my wife went back to our room to get her a tip (first time ever). My second stay at the HI Express was every bit as nice as the first. Greeted in the evening with a warm chocolate chip cookie and friendly staff; provided with nice amenities in the room (including makeup removal towelettes, an "origami" towel made to resemble a shirt and tie, plus a card offering free emergency toiletries I might have forgotten); a […] newspaper awaited me outside my door in the morning, which I read while enjoying my complimentary scrambled eggs, fruit, and bagel in the mini-cafe. The room linens were clean, the down-comforter welcome because I set the thermostat for chilly, the way I like it in winter evenings. The location is terrific - right near restaurants, shopping, Border's Books, the main thoroughfare, but set back from the road for quiet. I didn't use the exercise room, but the small pool with slide looked nice for families with children. Amenities get an A, and so does the friendly staff. Perfect getaway for business and pleasure. The staff has really internalized the value of exceptional service. They regularly went out of their way to take good care of me. I won't drink coffee out of the styrofoam cups they have for their morning buffet, so they found a ceramic cup for me. Clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet-- a great value for business travel.
