We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.

My wife and I have stayed at the Courtyard in Mahwah three of the last four years to attend the NEAF astronomy show at the Rockland Community College in Suffern, just a few minutes away. We've always had good a experience and this stay was no different. The recent renovations definitely spruced the hotel up. The pool and spa area was nice, although the acoustics in the room left my ears ringing after a group of children in the pool were not using their "indoor voices." Our room was very clean, everything worked well, including the internet connection (which is a wired connection) and having a Dunkin Donuts right next door makes a stay here worthwhile in my humble opinion! Just grab a coffee and a bagel sandwich and go. The rates are competitive with other hotels in the area. If someone on here rates the hotel low, they must be comparing it to a five-star city hotel or maybe a destination resort. It's not that, but it is a clean and decent place to stay while traveling for business or short-term pleasure. I believe we will stay there again next year.

Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.

"Professionalism"
The moment I checked in I was greeted by three mangers (two were leaving). Mr. Scottie was on duty and from the moment I checked in, he provided me with the upmost professionalism service. He made sure that I was completely happy with my stay..... My hat and graditudes goes to the hotel but most of all to Mr. Scottie. Thank you

"Awful"
We walked into the room and the covers were all off, it looked like someone had a party and the toilet bowl was full of urine. Totally disgusting they changed our room but did nothing for us.

When the electricity went out at my home during the "Halloween Snow" I was very grateful to find a room. I was very pleasantly surprised with all this hotel had to offer. Nice room! Great kitchen area and nice and friendly desk staff. I will definitely stay here again, anytime.

"Look elsewhere if you can"
The hotel is reasonably new, but not kept up well. The room was dirty and the bathroom was worn-looking. I understand that it's a budget option, but there is no service level -- not even drinking cups in the rooms.
"If you need a place with a kitchen..."
It's not horrible but service is deliberately minimal. The room was dusty. There were dishes but no detergent. You need to turn in your towels to get them replaced, etc. For what it is, however, it works. WiFi, Tv, place to cook, full-size fridge.

"Extended Stay in Jersey - Expected More"
My family and I looking for inexpensive place to stay other than right in NY. I expected a little more for what we paid for. The positives were that it was roomy and had a little kitchenette, which was nice. The bedding needed some updating, very scratchy and thin. It was clean though and staff was very nice.

We booked a hotel in NJ. We arrived to find that the stove was broken, the toilet was not flushing and the A/C was not working properly. The hotel staff advised us that no other room is available and that they do not have anyone available to fix the issues. We called Hotels.com and spoke to one representative, to resolve this.

"Extended Stay in Rutherford, NJ"
Originally made reservation for four nights but ended up only staying one. They were painting the hotel at the time so all of the windows were covered in plastic, and the outside looked really bad. The first room they put us in smelled of smoke so they switched us to a new room which smelled better but still felt dirty. The staff was really nice though […] and assisted in getting a refund from hotels.com for the remaining three nights. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone though. Read more
"front desk needs improving"
I've been at this hotel before no complaints. But this time, the front desk lady seemed that she had no idea what she was doing. Took her about 10 minutes to give me a key for the room that I didn't even requested. THere is a missing link bewteen HOTELS.com and The actual hotels. Hotels.com showed available rooms when there weren't any!!!!

A great location to the Secaucus Junction NJ Transit station into NYC.

This is a very comfortable hotel. Located in a hotel area, this place was very affordable, and every room came with a full kitchen- stove, fridge, freezer, counter space, sink, and even dishes! Plus a table and chair set to eat at. The TV was a comfortable 34 inch and the double beds were clean. The bathroom was spacious although out of date- it outweighed […] all the perks. I do not usually write a review either my experience at the hotel is bad or good. I just have to take my time so that things can be improve. First the GPS can not locate the location and we havto ask the receptionist for a voice guided direction. Thanks for he effort by the receptionist. It is only about 12 miles but took us 45 minutes to get there. […] We finally arrived close midnight and can wait ro have a hot shower. And guess what, the shower does not work. We finally got transferred to another room and seems like it is a smoking room although it os a non smoking room. This hotel is well bellow the quality for its price. Read more

"You get what you pay for"
Difficult to get to without some knowledge of the area (even with a GPS telling you the way). Place is dirty (halls, lobby, etc), room is very dated which includes a 19" tv. Also, don't forget to bring your own shampoo, sandwich, etc. Also if you plan to check-in after 11 PM, you will need to use the phone in the lobby to wake up the night manager […] in order to even get into the hotel. "Close to NYC and clean"
The room was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the location. Even with a GPS, this hotel was extremely difficult to find. The first night it was difficult to sleep due to all of the noise from the two highways that surround the hotel but I got used to that. "Late night check-in?"
We had gone down to NJ for a Roger Waters concert at the Izod Arena, which was very close by. Thankfully we had checked in befor the concert, because when we returned to the hotel at around 11:30pm there was NO ONE at the front desk. It was completely dark! Inside the room there was no sign indicating what check out time was, so I tried to call the […] front desk to find out. NO ONE answered the phone. What if we had waited to check in after the concert? would we have gotten our room? My advice is to check in early!! Read more

"Poor customer service"
We reserved a room with a king size bed and were given a room with a queen size bed. When we asked what happened we were told there were no rooms available with a king size bed and when we checked out we could request a refund on the price difference. When we checked out we asked for the refund and were told to take it up with hotels.com as it was not […] their problem. The customer service both in checking in and out was extremely poor. The two employees we dealt with were both very rude. We didn't expect a luxury hotel at this cost but we also didn't expect to be treated the way we were. We would not stay here again. Read more
"Average hotel"
This is an average hotel, don't expect something extraordinary. The rooms are definitely ok, clean and comfortable, like any Extended Stay Hotel I've seen so far. The location is not very exciting; the hotel is basically surrounded by highways. The way to the hotel is not easy to find; even a taxi driver had difficulties locating the hotel. We spend […] one night there after an event in the Giants Stadium in East Rutherford; for this purpose the hotel is quite ok. We didn't have any problems with the hotel staff, but we noticed a few people waiting for their room - obviously something had gone wrong for them. "tucked away with a view of the city"
If you have a rental car or vehicle, this property is great....if you are ok about walking a few blocks, you have access to a bus to port authority,its just limited on times so conduct your appointments in the am.
