We loved it... great stay... fantastic value and just a quick trip across the bridge to Historic Charleston. Save some money for fun in Charleston. Great value and cleaner than some other hotels we visited in the Historic District in the past.

I picked this place for its proximity to the Charleston port and downtown. Unfortunately, they would not allow us to check in before 3:00 p.m. and would not hold our bags so we could explore Charleston. it was as I thought , good price and good stay. Staff is very friendly and will go out of their way to help you. No issues with the room other than small coffee pot!!!! LOL any how it is a good location and has a kitchen so you dont have to eat out the whole time you are there .

as a senior citizen, I remember 25 cent per gallon gasoline, and 4 attendants gassing the car, cleaning windshields, checking oil, checking tires . . . then came self service. Which must mean cheaper gas than paying 4 men to do it. This was my first stay at a hotel/motel where I was required to exchange my own towels and take out my own trash. The hotel itself was sufficient, nothing fancy, but it was clean and quiet. It more than sufficed for our needs, but I used the phone. DO NOT USE THE PHONE. On the phone, it said free local calls. Dial 9 and the 7 digit number. So I did, not the area code or 1 in front of the number, just exactly what the phone said to do for a local call and the calls […] went through. Well, I was charged $46.00 for 3 local calls. I told management that I did not make long distance calls, that would be stupid when I could just use my cell phone. Fire alarm at 3:30AM, toliet that ran, no wake up call in the morning that made me late.........if I wanted to party all night this is the place I would go back to, not to sleep or have my kids in it.

The location of the hotel is close to all the attractions and all the beaches. The room i stayed smelled bad but I didn't bother to ask the management to change it though, after seeing the receptionist turning down many customer saying the hotel was fully booked. The bed was very comfortable, the room was a good size, and very clean. It wasn't fancy, but we really liked having the kitchen area so that we could eat breakfast in our room. The only complaint I would have was with the sound proofing, which was good except that someone above us took showers very late in the night, and we could hear the water running. […] We never heard any noise other than that. I stayed at an Extended Stay before in North Charleston and liked it. This time It was a disappointment. The halls smelled and the carpet was dirty and not vacuumed. The kitchen was not stocked well at all. We were short on utensils and dishes. The bathroom did not have a hair dryer nor was there complimentary shampoo, conditioner or skin creme. Not […] even tissues. The iron was broken and I had to call down for a replacement. I was told by the gentleman at the front desk that he was alone and I had to come down to the desk with the broken iron and get the replacement iron. When I got their he handed me a sealed box with the iron in it. I asked him is he going to cut the box open and give me the iron? He said with an attitude, It's just an iron you could take it out yourself. Quality of service was not good. I don't feel it was worth the rate I payed. Read more

After checking, they had the cheapest rate and it was nice for the money. It was nice having a full size fridge, microwave and stovetop in the room for kids and leftovers. Don't smoke, but had to get smoking room. Was fine because cigarette smell was hardly noticeable.

Wife and I here for a four day stay. Unfortunately our A/C condenser pan overflowed water down into the hotel office below our room. Maintenance quick to pull unit from room and replace it. We left the hotel for hours and when we returned we found that the replacement was not working. The room on West side and very hot. This hotel is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. When we got there the girl at the counter was nice and gave us our room key got us all checked in and we went to our room. The first thing that hit was the smell, pretty musty. Then the worst part, there were smeared hand prints on the picture that was above the beds headboard. DISGUSTING!! […] The comforter was dirty and so I went to the front desk to ask for a new room. The lady that was I guess managing came to the room with a bottle of windex and said oh there thats better. So when I asked to move she said no the room was clean now. Then I heard her and another lady complaing about us. After pushing and pushing they finally moved us to a slightly less disgusting room. This experience was horrible stay anywhere but here. I have never paid this much a night for a hotel in South Carolina and been treated so poorly and stayed in such a disgusting place. Spend more and stay anywhere else but here. Read more
