Siena is one of the most beautiful cities. Very walkable. We reached at 11pm and found it moderately difficult to locate the guesthouse in a car. There was no staff on site when we reached but we were able to access the staff through a mic outside the hotel/motel/guesthouse. Then we had to find parking, which was a 5 minute walk away. Hotel was very nice. In a town where every hotel says it is in the heart of Siena, it was nice to be in such a good location (5 minute walk from the Campo). Truly a lovely small and simple hotel with much wider breakfast options than one would expect from a hotel of its size and price. It is great for those not seeking a luxury hotel.

Very old building converted to a hotel. The room is big, but bathroom is very small and look dirty. The shower could fit small and skinny person, there is no room to put your toillettry bag. I would not recommend this hotel to friends or family members.

the location was perfect. Easy access from the bus station and the Campo. the front desk was very knowledgeable and helpful. The breakfast was great. Fresh baked breads, fresh fruits, individually made coffee as ordered. The room was large and comfortable with a good shower.

Great location, cute hotel, but disappointed that when we arrived there was scaffolding and workmen there blocking our view of the tuscan countryside. No notification of course. Room was very spacious, high ceilings, and adorable, unfortunately some areas were very dusty I guess due to all the work outside. We turned on the ceiling fan and dust flew […] all over. The nice man at front desk came up with a ladder and took care of the fan for us with no problem. Very good location in Siena. We have stayed in better hotels but they would cost 3 times more. We had the smallest room, but after two weeks on a cruise the room was more than big enough. The staff was extremely helpful (for 3 of the 4). Gave great restaurant recommendations. We would stay at again!

This is an older building but the rooms are extremely clean, continental breakfast is excellent and the location to Il Campo and restaurants is great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great hotel while on a budget. The staff speaks English and is happy to help with meal suggestions and to help arrange transportation.

We had 2 rooms with large TVs in both rooms, including 2 English speaking stations. Grocery store just around the corner. The staff brought us wine glasses so we could enjoy a bottle of Brunello di Montalcino.

Although this hotel has a decent location and the quality of the room is okay, the real negative is the service. The staff seems to be in a bad mood and did not foster an enjoyable stay. The uniqueness of the property could really be enhanced with some good old-fashioned friendliness.

The staff was always helpful, whether it was with suggesting places in Siena, booking tours for us, or even sending us a piece of luggage that we had accidentally left behind, La Locanda always made sure we were taken care of. The hotel was well located (most are), albeit a bit difficult to find (many are) and in a quiet neighborhood. The reception folks were exceedingly helpful & breakfast was adequate - fairly typical of what we experienced throughout Italy. This hotel is a smaller sized hotel in the heart of Siena on the side of the city near "La Pota Romana" which is nice beacuse it is away from the noisier more tourist filled area near the bus station. The hotel is a three minute walk to Plaza del Campo and then from the Plaza there is quick access to everything else there is to see in Siena. The Hotel […] itself seems to have maybe 7-10 rooms and is in a traditional Sienese Mid-evil period building. The inside has been renevated to modern day standards while still keeping a traditional decor. Rooms are large and en-suite bathroom was bigger than expectations. The staff was extemely helpful with car rental reservations, taxi service, and information about the city. The only aspect I could see being an issue is that there is no elevator in the building which would make if difficult for people who have problems climbing a flight of stairs. Otherwise I would highly reccomend this hotel to anyone looking for a well priced comfortable room in Siena. Read more

This hotel is in a fantastic position right in the heart of old Siena. My room was clean and well-proportioned. However, my experience staying here was rendered unpleasant due to 1. an awful smell in my bathroom that I discovered after removing the perfume plug (as I dislike them), and 2. the inadequate soundproofing of the rooms. While I was there, […] an incredibly noisy family with very young children who never stopped screaming, were put right next door. During the two nights they were there, I had to play whitenoise from YouTube to be able to stand it. The night after they left, I had the luck of two sets of amorous couples to either side of my room, demonstrating their love for each other on their creaky beds ALL night and in the morning. Fantastic location - really close to the historic centre. In a quaint historical building. We were a bit unlucky in having a ground floor room on the cobbled street which meant passing traffic was very noisy. Apart from that - good value - nice place.

We chose this hotel for it's convenience to the campo. It was convenient in distance though lacked in every other way. During our 4 day stay I was sucessful in having one hot shower.
