"Horrible staff, disrespectful and lazy"
This hotel doesn't deserve to have even 2 stars. AC didn't work ( temperature in my room was over 30 degrees Celsius), something leaked in our room and ruined our clothes and some guests next door were drinking and fighting at 1AM when I asked the manager to do something about it he said that everything is ok and looked at me like I have too high expectations. It was so bad and so scary that I decided to call carabinieri. If you want enjoy that region, please stay away from this hotel

"Quiet hotel near the beach"
We stayed here at the end of our holiday and wanted to relax. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was a nice pool area. Hotel is aimed more towards the older clientele so overall atmosphere a little too reserved for our liking. Our room was smaller than we anticipated considering the cost...but it certainly wasn't an unpleasant stay, just not to our tastes!

"Comfortable hotel"
Not the warmest atmosphere but close to the small beach in a small town. You have to ask if you want your heating on! Dont buy your bus tickets from the Tabachi next to the Europa Restaurant in the main square by the beach - he is an extremely nasty man, perhaps he hates Brits for some reason.

"clean, comfortable"
This hotel was great, very comfortable and clean, yummy breakfast and reception was very accommodating. It was only a 2 minute walk to the beach in the small town of Minori. Most of reception speaks good English and is happy to help. Nice pool. Only problem was parking was expensive (20 euro) due to limited space but it comes with valet service. Highly recommend this hotel.

"Beautifully maintained and great value"
Definitely the best choice if you are staying in Minori. Rooms are immaculate, pool is nice, and location is good for short walk to beach or for exploring other towns on the coast where hotels are more expensive. Minori was a pleasant surprise too! Small and relatively quiet but enough going on to be interesting. Close enough to Ravello and Maiori too.

"Hotel Villa Romana a lovely place to stay"
A very pretty hotel centrally located with balconies overlooking the main street and the private swimming pool. Pristinely painted in white it looks bright and well cared for we thought it was the nicest looking hotel in Minori. All of the staff are friendly and helpful including the maids who prepare and keep the rooms to a high standard with lovely clean white bedding and fresh towels every day. The bedding is all brand new in white to match all the decor. Our room 378 was compact but exactly what we had requested on the top floor with a balcony over looking the street, outside of the room door just a short walk down the spiral steps outside was the swimming pool. The room was excellently located. Breakfast was as much as you could eat with a wide range of cereals, yogurts, fruits as well as cold meats, bread, crisp breads and cooked eggs, bacon, sausages and beans, with fruit juices and coffee etc to drink. The Amalfi coast is the prettiest coastline we have ever seen providing scenic routes wherever you visit. Minori is well placed for all the tours and places of interest including Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius which we visited. There are lots of little restaurants to choose from and the food was excellent everywhere we went. We only had a long weekend break for 4 days but enjoyed every minute of it. We would Highly recommend Minori and the Hotel Villa Romana to all our friends and family.

"Lovely hotel, in quiet town of Minori"
Very clean room, superb breakfast buffet with different food each morning. Usual selection of meat/cheese, bread, pastries and cereal, and strawberries made a guest appearance on one day! Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking on the Amalfi Coast is difficult, so I booked a parking space at the hotel. They parked the car for me after each use, and held the keys at reception which was a nice touch.

"Great location for a break on the Amalfi coast."
Rooms are fairly small but have everything you need, including a decent-sized balcony and mini-bar. Get to know your air con controls; the road noise at the front continues into the early hours so you'll need to shut the balcony doors. Spotless swimming pool with free sun-loungers. Buffet-style breakfast is fine and plentiful with a wide selection, but don't expect a "full english" (kidney beans with raw onions anyone?). Coffee and juices from the free vending machine are truly terrible but they give you a great excuse to stop at Gambardella's opposite for a proper Italian coffee (& pastry) on your way to the beach. The Villa Romana staff really make the place. Nothing is too much trouble and you are always greeted with a smile! Would recommend you stay for B&B only so you can sample the Minori restaurants; take-away pizza from Altamarea and ice-cream from Sal de Riso...

Sijainti on pari kadunkulmaa rannalta.

Essen abends Ok, Preis-Leistung in Ordnung.

"Couldn't have asked for a better experience"
09/03/15 Nicola P London, United Kingdom
We stayed in the Villa Romana. Talk about friendly. We were made to feel so welcome and the team there and the owners couldn't do enough to make sure we had a good time on our holiday on the Amalfi coast. The rooms were kept immaculate and the decor was beautiful in a clean Roman style. We were only a few moments walk to the beach, square, buses, coaches and boats. The hotel itself served good food and restaurants were scattered a moment's walk in all directions. We slept so well, felt we were in the heart of Minori and also felt really immersed in an authentic cultural experience. Thank you, team Villa Romana, for a lovely, charming and unforgettable experiencce :)

"Perfect hotel to explore the Amalfi Coast"
09/02/15 Danielle B London, United Kingdom
Hotel Villa Romana is a wonderful hotel located in the charming town of Minori. It is perfectly located for anyone wishing to explore the Amalfi Coast and its surrounding. We stayed for 2 weeks at the beginning August and found the hotel a perfect place to relax after our busy days exploring the region. The rooms are beautiful, typically Italian styled and very comfortable. Our room even had a balcony which overlooked the streets of Minori. The facilities are excellent also with a pool and amazing restaurant which we sampled on the occasional nights. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, it really made out holiday special and I would definitely stay again. If anyone is looking for a beautiful hotel that is perfectly located to explore the Amalfi Coast and excellent staff that attend to all you needs, then this hotel is perfect. Recommended highly.

Found this hotel on Expedia, not entirely sure what I was looking for, just a sunny holiday for 2. Both 18 and just looking for 5 days by the sea and it was perfect. The staff were friendly and understanding, speaking so well in English which helped a lot. Our room was constantly cleaned immaculately and towels replaced everyday. The location is central, a few minutes walk to the beach, with a very nice pool if you would prefer. Minori is adorable and the perfect place to stay for a fairly short holiday. I would recommend this to everyone!

"Second visit to this nice hotel"
08/23/15 Simon T Chichester, United Kingdom
The hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly and really, really helpful. The pool is quite small but very sage and there is additional sun bed areas away from the pool, but nearby. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, from the guy at the pool bar to the reception staff. Handily placed near the beach and restaurants and just a 10 minute boat taxi from Amalfi town. Second visit in two years for our family so would definitely recommend.

"The perfect antidote to Rome"
08/17/15 Helen W Hampshire, United Kingdom
We arrived frazzled from a hectic, overheated trip to Rome (42c temp) to this haven on the Amalfi Coast. This is a beautiful, family run hotel: friendly, welcoming, spotlessly clean. We had 3 good sized rooms between us, all of them were decorated to a high standard. The staff are so helpful, especially Basil at the pool area, which was a real gem. Because of the heat (average 38c and high humidity while we were there), we spent most of our time prone in the shade around the lovely pool, which was as spotlessly clean as the rest of the hotel. Minori is a tiny place, with a thriving and lively community. The hotel is a leisurely 5 minute stroll from the beach, in the heart of Minori. You are cheek by jowl with the neighbours, which we loved. It was nice to start each day with a friendly wave as we stood on our balcony. It feels much less touristy than larger towns on the coast, but is still well served by restaurants and cafes. We loved both Minori and the Villa Romana so much we are planning a return trip.

We stayed at Villa Romana one week in July 2015 and we really enjoyed every minute of it. Great standard and service especially from Dominic who welcomed us every day even if we didn't always stayed for lunch or dinner. He was so kind to the kids. This is a hotel I really can recommend.

Fabulous location for my wife & myself and a lovely hotel. The staff and owners were friendly and helpful and the room very clean. The breakfast was typical for Italian hotels, which doesn't suit some people and you have to ask if you want a proper espresso with breakfast! I didn't eat an evening meal at the hotel but preferred to try the local restaurants. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the location to family groups as it is really for the cultural experience and personally I wouldn't go there again in the Summer months as it is oppressively hot for me.

I had a great experience at this hotel! When walking in the staff greeted my friend and I with a smile and "Prego!" The location was amazing! Right in the city off of a beautiful street in Minori! Our room was VERY clean and also had air conditioning! It was a beautiful bed as well as furniture and wonderfully designed bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and beautiful with a rustic style. Wonderful pillows with a soft but firm feel. In waking up the hotel had the BEST breakfast! They go above and beyond! So much food to choose from! My friend and I were very excited about it considering how much they out did any of the other 4 star hotels we stayed at during our trip in Italy. Very wide and wonderful variety! One thing that isn't the best is the wifi, but that is really the only thing I could complain about only because coming from a different country it is important to have in order to properly plan your trip. The hotel has s beautiful private pool. It's very centrally located and there was a great night life with people having a mini concert in the streets just far enough to not hear it in the hotel. The beach is fantastic in minori! Very blue water and many options on. What you could do there! The hotel staff are also always there to help and educate you in whatever you'd like to know. We loved our short stay and would definitely return!

"Don't stay here"
08/10/15 DebraStander Western Cape, South Africa
The area that Villa Romana hotel in Minori Italy is in, is very run down. The hotel is on a busy road onto which most of rooms face. The pictures of this hotel are photoshopped and altered to look brighter and cleaner than it is. In fact it looks nothing like like pictures on google or any of the hotel booking websites. Both rooms we booked had a weird odor and musty smell coming from the air conditioner. The air conditioners did not work and the room was very hot and sticky. The hotel hands you a list of rules of when your balcony door can be opened. For example you are only allowed to open the door between 6:30 - 8:30. You probably won't want to open it though because you'll get the noise and fumes from the many trucks and cars going down the road. The bathrooms had mildew in the tile grouting and around the bath edges as well as on the emergency cord.

"Just returned from fantastic week"
08/08/15 Mark T Stafford, United Kingdom
This hotel is a little taste of paradise in the Amalfi Coastal region. The hotel is well represented int he photographs on the site. However, what they do not say is just how fine the food and service is at this little place. With just 40 odd rooms, and around half of them with evening meal, the treatment is made fabulously personal, led by Dominic and his team. The food was different every night, with a choice of 3-4 things. Plus one of our party, my daughter, is a Vegan and every night the chef made a special effort to do something adapted from the menu that was possibly even more fabulous for her. We were made SO welcome, it was sad to leave. The reception girls are also very accommodating and could not do enough for us. The rooms were nice, and the public areas nice too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I am confident you will not be disappointed. Mark, Lorraine and Ruby
