"First year anniversary"
We spent 3 nights in the Helena room and our stay was fantastic. The Helena room has a 2 person jacuzzi and a rain shower!!! There are even fresh cookies and a bottle of Sherry on one of the nightstands. Breakfast is server 830 - 9 and is amazing. The selection of food was excellent and it was probably the best breakfast I have ever had at a B&B.Genuine Expedia guest review
Gillian was a wonderful host, and the Inn did not disappoint! The Calistoga area is so adorable and laid back in contrast to Napa. We only wish we had more time!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great little inn"
This was a lovely historic property near all the amenities of downtown Calistoga. Wonderful spaces to relax both indoors (a main living room area open to all) and outdoors on various patios. We appreciated that breakfast was served family style, so you could choose what (and more importantly how much) you eat. Only comfort-related issue we had is that […] the floorboards of the Howell Room were a bit squeaky - we viewed it as part of the the charm of an older property, but if you're noise-sensitive you might consider aiming for an upstairs room. Loved the flexibility of the innkeepers - we were grateful when we were able to book this stay a few hours before arrival, and they were very accommodating in leaving us instructions on how to access our room after hours (I am glad we called after making the online reservation.) Definitely recommend this as a base for the hiking, biking, and sightseeing options on the northern edge of the Napa Valley. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
a beautiful bed and breakfast, a real treat but no sidewwalk outside and two gas stations across the street. It was easy to walk into the little town of calistogaGenuine Hotels.com guest review

We loved Calistoga. So cute and close to so much. Great for a short get away from the city. We will be returning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place to stay at Calistoga"
Very pleasant, comfortable, better ventilation in the room would have made it even better! Short stroll to town restaurants makes the location good. Hosts very helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Central to Calistoga and wine country"
What a wonderful surprise! Large room, quiet, great amenities and fabulous breakfast. Greeted with sherry and cookies in the evening, woken with delicious aromas of coffee and great homecooked food. We will be back.Genuine Expedia guest review
We wanted to be in the northern part of Napa Valley; this was ideal location for our needs. FABULOUS breakfasts; hostess was wonderful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Wine Country Value"
I'm not the biggest fan of B&Bs but this one is cozy and offers more privacy than most. The owners are gracious, thoughtful hosts. The only issue with the room was a noisy air conditioner unit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"first bed and breakfast"
Had a wonderful time. The couple that run the B&B were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic. The only issue is the noise from the street was a little loud at night.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great B & B"
We enjoyed the B and B, the owners were very nice, the place was very quaint. Upon arrival there were cookies in the room with Sherry and in the sitting room there were two wines, chocolates and more. Breakfast was awesome, that woman can cook! Interesting talking to the other guests.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Non-chain hotel close to SFO"
Small hotel with a restaurant less than 4 miles from SFO. Comfortable room. Continental breakfast (basic choices ordered from menu the night before) delivered to the room. "Love the Craftsman Inn!!"
I highly recommend this Inn! The staff was very friendly and helpful and it was a very cool, laid back atmosphere. At first there was no one there to even let us in but once we found the number to call, they were great and upgraded our room for free!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would stay again"
Everyone was lovely to me, I truly felt like a guest in their home. I was allowed to get my keys early which was a huge help with my plans for check-in day. Breakfast each day was very good. My room was quite large, comfortable and clean. The only small issue with it was a little hole in the window that had cardboard and duct tape over it which looked […] as if it had been there for years. However, I would definitely stay there again and also recommend it to friends. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

We have stayed at the Wineway Inn and it's sister b and b The Craftsman before. Not only is it comfortable but the owners and staff are lovely people. They provide some excellent room choices with queen beds and great bedding. The breakfasts are delicious with unique dishes and an array of fabulous dishes. Though the operation keeps growing, they try to keep prices down. I missed seeing Nick and his wife but they are plenty busy. With nice owners, the guests were nice too. The afternoon wine and evening cookies kept the guests in good humor too.The living room and dining room were very inviting for sitting and meeting other guests. Overall it was pretty, fun and great food.
"Family Wine Trip"
04/03/15 Jen S Rancho Cordova, California
We booked our room at The Craftsman and two rooms for our In laws at the Wine Way Inn. We called ahead of time to coordinate early check in and Gillian was very accommodating! Our keys and coupons were waiting for us in the room. The Spring room was very nice and we felt at home. Nice size bathroom with jetted tub was great after a long day wine tasting. We booked the room thinking we would hang out on private deck with in laws, but we ended up at the fire pit at the Wine Way Inn. The expansive decking there was perfect for hanging out. There is a door in the Spring room that connects to the neighboring rooms bathroom and we did here some potty time at 4am, but we understand that there is no control over the design of the house. The best part is the breakfast! So delicious! Gillian is an amazing cook and we purchased cook book for my mother. Sher has already baked three of the recipes in three weeks! Overall very lovely and accommodating B&B with gracious hosts!
"Very Charming B&B"

We stayed in the Helena room that was very well done. I think I would have requested a room on the opposite side of the house since this room is next to a BBQ place next door. The breakfasts were amazing. Gillian is a great English cook. Wine every night in the parlor and coffee waiting very early before breakfast. I highly recommend.

Our visit started with David who greeted us and escorted us to our lovely room which was spacious and had a full bath with jacuzzi tub and separate shower. We enjoyed the complimentary wine on our private balcony. The location of the inn was so close to the main drag of Calistoga that we could easily walk to all of the wining, dining and shopping. Breakfast by David was so delicious and abundant. Overall an amazing stay at a fabulous B&B!!!

This was our first experience of staying in an USA "B&B", and we were so impressed .We felt like we were in a 5 star boutique hotel. The decor in our room, the Diamond room, was just lovely. The property is in a fabulous position right across the road from the main street in Calistoga. The breakfasts were special, you could taste the passion and care Gillian and her team invest in to making breakfasts a taste sensation every time.In fact we had to buy Gillians' cookbook to try and emulate the delicious dishes ourselves,we were that taken with the food! We had a fantastic time staying in this fabulous B&B and have bought home many fond memories of this special area in the Napa Valley.
01/19/15 Carol V Turlock, California
This B & B is full of classy touches, from wine and port in the living room, to chocolate oatmeal cookies with port and glasses in the bedrooms! Breakfast both days where fabulous, homemade scones and muffins, poached eggs and apple sausage, fruit, and granola with yogurt, and worth breaking your diet for french toast! The rooms are all different, but the pillows need updating and the wall unit air conditioner/heaters are extremely loud. We turned off the wall unit, room stayed warm and made it much easier to sleep. The house is located close to the street, so be prepared for road noise or request a room in the rear of the house! Lots of nice restaurants and wine tasting within walking distance.
"Highly recommended for central Calistoga"
What a great place - a warm welcome from Nick and Gillian, comfortable rooms, fabulous breakfasts. We also enjoyed the welcome wine and home-made snacks - repeated each day of the stay. Highly recommended as a base for exploring Calistoga and the wider Napa valley wine region. Nick put together a package for us, included dining vouchers, scheduled wine tastings and use of the local shuttle bus.
"Lovely place; fantastic breakfasts"
Clean, beautiful furniture, unbeatable breakfasts (and cookies). The Spring room may have been missing a closet, but made up for it with its fantastic bathroom. The Craftsman style was excellently maintained. A few details were strange: The Howell room lacked a working lock on the door, and the only door connecting the Spring room to the rest of the house was through the pantry and "off-limits."
"Lovely stay, great location with a twist of English charm"
11/13/14 Lu F
Our stay (three days) at The Craftsman Inn was just perfect. Although the owners have lived in CA for many years, they are originally from the UK and I think the Inn has a touch of English charm to it. Our hosts were lovely and very knowledgeable about the area (and more importantly where the best wineries are!). The food was lovely, the rooms were spacious with a boutique feel and the weather was great.... all in all, a great get-away. I'd definitely go back.
"Good - but avoid The Spring Room!!"
11/01/14 ChopChopMan Reading, United Kingdom
Good bits: Outstanding quality, home-coked breakfast - amazing! Clean and comfortable room Convenient location, quality toiletries, complimentary cookies/sherry in the room and wine in the lounge 'Home from home' style decor Bad bits - The Spring room! Quite small with no proper wardrobe, just a hanging rail with no shelves or drawers for clothes Shower didn't work properly But, the main issue - PRIVACY!! Off the Spring room are two thin doors, one of which backs directly onto the kitchen, so we were woken up by the clatter of breakfast being prepared. The other thin door seems to back onto an adjacent bedroom's bathroom! This meant we could hear (and smell) every tiny detail of our neighbour's ablutions. It was as though they were actually in our room and we were periodically awoken during the night by the noise their toilet activities. Not at all pleasant, but hopefully a unique problem with this one room.
