"First year anniversary"
We spent 3 nights in the Helena room and our stay was fantastic. The Helena room has a 2 person jacuzzi and a rain shower!!! There are even fresh cookies and a bottle of Sherry on one of the nightstands. Breakfast is server 830 - 9 and is amazing. The selection of food was excellent and it was probably the best breakfast I have ever had at a B&B.Genuine Expedia guest review
Gillian was a wonderful host, and the Inn did not disappoint! The Calistoga area is so adorable and laid back in contrast to Napa. We only wish we had more time!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great little inn"
This was a lovely historic property near all the amenities of downtown Calistoga. Wonderful spaces to relax both indoors (a main living room area open to all) and outdoors on various patios. We appreciated that breakfast was served family style, so you could choose what (and more importantly how much) you eat. Only comfort-related issue we had is that […] the floorboards of the Howell Room were a bit squeaky - we viewed it as part of the the charm of an older property, but if you're noise-sensitive you might consider aiming for an upstairs room. Loved the flexibility of the innkeepers - we were grateful when we were able to book this stay a few hours before arrival, and they were very accommodating in leaving us instructions on how to access our room after hours (I am glad we called after making the online reservation.) Definitely recommend this as a base for the hiking, biking, and sightseeing options on the northern edge of the Napa Valley. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
a beautiful bed and breakfast, a real treat but no sidewwalk outside and two gas stations across the street. It was easy to walk into the little town of calistogaGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great place to stay at Calistoga"
Very pleasant, comfortable, better ventilation in the room would have made it even better! Short stroll to town restaurants makes the location good. Hosts very helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Central to Calistoga and wine country"
What a wonderful surprise! Large room, quiet, great amenities and fabulous breakfast. Greeted with sherry and cookies in the evening, woken with delicious aromas of coffee and great homecooked food. We will be back.Genuine Expedia guest review
We wanted to be in the northern part of Napa Valley; this was ideal location for our needs. FABULOUS breakfasts; hostess was wonderful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Wine Country Value"
I'm not the biggest fan of B&Bs but this one is cozy and offers more privacy than most. The owners are gracious, thoughtful hosts. The only issue with the room was a noisy air conditioner unit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"first bed and breakfast"
Had a wonderful time. The couple that run the B&B were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic. The only issue is the noise from the street was a little loud at night.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great B & B"
We enjoyed the B and B, the owners were very nice, the place was very quaint. Upon arrival there were cookies in the room with Sherry and in the sitting room there were two wines, chocolates and more. Breakfast was awesome, that woman can cook! Interesting talking to the other guests.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Love the Craftsman Inn!!"
I highly recommend this Inn! The staff was very friendly and helpful and it was a very cool, laid back atmosphere. At first there was no one there to even let us in but once we found the number to call, they were great and upgraded our room for free!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would stay again"
Everyone was lovely to me, I truly felt like a guest in their home. I was allowed to get my keys early which was a huge help with my plans for check-in day. Breakfast each day was very good. My room was quite large, comfortable and clean. The only small issue with it was a little hole in the window that had cardboard and duct tape over it which looked […] as if it had been there for years. However, I would definitely stay there again and also recommend it to friends. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice B&B, but roadnoise and noise from other rooms"
This is a nice place and we enjoyed our stay, but for the price, I am sure you can find locations that have more isolation between the rooms than this old houseGenuine Hotels.com guest review

We originally had a reservation as a result of a Christmas gift fropm our kids for a two night stay at the Wine Way Inn.When we arrived, we were upgraded to a bigger room in the nearby Craftsman Inn. Our hoist Gillian was charming and an excellent cook with gourmet breakfasts. She was also helpful in recommending nearby restaurants and wineries to visit in the Calistoga area. We would definitely recommend a stay there to friends.
"A Favorite Calistoga B&B"

My husband and I had the pleasure of returning to the Craftsman Inn where we were both greeted by a warm hug from Innkeeper Gillian. The smell of fresh baked goodies wafted throughout the Inn as we checked in and followed us all the way to the upstairs where our room was located. Our second visit proved to be more exceptional than the first as we were cheerily afforded the luxury of the Helena room. Larger than most of the other rooms, what really sets this apart for me is the Jacuzzi tub built for two! The location is perfect as all of the area restaurants are all within walking distance. The Inn is located on a very busy street so you may expect to hear traffic noises. It was not a problem for me or for my husband. The place is spotlessly clean and the fluffy towels and high end toiletries were an additional treat as were the sherry and cookies that are thoughtfully replenished daily. Along with the hospitality, the breakfasts are top notch. Gillian does an amazing presentation of homemade yogurt and granola, fresh baked scones and a hot entry item along with fresh fruit and sparkling wine. Recipes for many of the items that she serves may also be found in her cookbook which may be purchased to take back home. We look forward to another return visit in the very near future and cannot say enough positive things about our stay!

My husband and I just celebrated our 10 year anniversary and stayed at the Craftsman Inn in Calistoga. It was within an easy walk to town, the rooms were very comfortable and clean, and the food was amazing! Each morning we woke to the smell of breakfast, which is a very pleasant way to be woken up. There was Sherri in the room as well as treats around the house. Gillian is an amazing cook and was very helpful with winery suggestions. Lavender Hill Spa is also within walking distance from the Inn, which was great. We would highly recommend the Craftsman Inn for a weekend get away in Calistoga.
"Hidden Gem in Calistoga"
This is a great litte B&B in Calistoga. It's my first time staying at the Craftsman Inn and it was a great first impression. I was greeted by a gracious host who was baking cookies and granola. What a wonderful and cozy place! The smell of fresh baked goods was enough to keep me there. I stayed in the Spring room wich was great for me and since I was on a solo trip this time the room was perfect. The only room at the Inn with its own private entrance at ground level. The soaking tub was nice after a long day of being out in the cold. The room was immaculate. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and clean. Breakfast the next day consisted of fresh baked blue berry and coconut scones( which the aroma drafted into my room and that's what woke me. Fresh OJ and homemade yogurt and French toast with Carmelized apples. Yummy! I felt like a hobbit who wanted 2nd breakfast! I would highly recommend this lnn to anybody staying in Calistoga. I will be back!
"We couldn't have made a better choice!"
10/17/13 Kels14 Overland Park, KS
My husband and I stayed at the Craftsman Inn for our 1-year wedding anniversary and we just LOVED it! Calistoga is such a beautiful town and this B&B is about a 2 minute walk from town. It's right on the main drag & is so easy to get around. As for the B&B itself, Gillian was amazing! She was so helpful with all of our questions/needs and she was very accessible. If she wasn't around the B&B, you could always reach her on her cell phone for anything you needed. Her breakfasts were incredible - I'm missing them already! My favorite was her Maple Nut Scone...mmmmm! We stayed in the Palisades Room which is on the front of the house, right above the porch. It does face the main road, but we had absolutely zero problems with noise. The bed was super comfortable and everything was spotless. The brandy & cookies were a bonus! Very yummy! If you are considering a stay in Wine Country, I highly suggest The Craftsman Inn. We will definitely be staying there again on our next visit! Thanks Nick & Gillian - for everything!
"Fantastic, do not consider anywhere else"

My wife and I were lucky enough to be able to escape for the weekend to Calistoga, and by a measure of good fortune, arrived at the Craftsman Inn for our night's stay. To say that we were overwhelmed by just how friendly the owner was, would be an understatement. She had an invested interest in making us feel welcome and special. The homely feel to this bed and breakfast cannot be overstated. The room ("Spring" room) had a wonderful terrace, was immaculate and clean, and more comfortable than many of my recent branded hotel stays (travel a lot). All basic amenities were provided. Finally, the owner made an outstanding breakfast which we shared at the main dining area in the facility, allowing us to mingle a little with other overnight guests. The hotel is within a 15 second walk to the main street downtown Calistoga area. Perfect location. The owner should be very proud.
"Great place to relax in Calistoga"
10/09/13 Melchin09 Knightsen, California
My brother & I desperately needed to get away to relax. Took me awhile to decide on a B&B. There were a lot! I'm so glad I chose the Craftsman Inn. At check in we met one of the owners, Gillian. What an amazing lady! She's not only one of the owners but she's also the chef! And what a great chef! She cooked everything for breakfast, which was outstanding. She even has a published cookbook & of course, I had to buy one! The Inn was beautiful & very clean. We stayed in the Helena room. Very comfortable bed & very nice bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. It was very relaxing. I would definitely stay here again.

We needed a place for one night, easy in and out, in a small town, for a reasonable price. This small B&B was perfect; attractive, clean and comfortable, cable & wifi, gourmet breakfast at table with all other guests. If you have a problem with stairs or if slanted ceilings bother you, make sure you will be on the first floor before booking. Tourist info was available in the living room. The walk into the town center requires crossing the highway at a stop sign.
"A Lovely Place"

We stayed at The Craftsman Inn for just one night during our trip through California in September and it was a delightful experience. Calistoga is quaint and peaceful and The Craftsman fits in beautifully with this vibe. The rooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated and internally the whole place has an Arts and Crafts look. We had heard in town that Gillian the owner was a great cook and to expect a good breakfast. Having in the past struggled my way through many a hotel English/Scottish Breakfast I expected the usual "Great British fry-up." But the buffet options available were so different to this and which included poached plums, a nice muesli mix, homemade scones and I particularly enjoyed the Cowboy Beans from the hot dishes. Though with black olives and sundried tomatoes in this, the cowboys of Calistoga must have roamed the plains of Tuscany at some time. A really enjoyable stopover and I just wish we could have stayed longer.
"Not worth the money"

We stayed at the inn for two nights. When we got there, there was no one to welcome us, just a letter and a set of keys left near the door. We called the owner to find out which tour stops by, and were told that the calistoga shuttle drives around the city's wineries for free. When we ordered the shuttle we found out we need tickets from the inn to ride for free. Luckily, the inn owner was there, for the only time, and we got the tickets. We didn't get any help ordering tours. Breakfast was nice, but didn't have a lot of variety. The room was nice, but the shower was tiny, and we woke up early every morning because you hear everything thats going on on the street. We got cookies only on our first day, and didnt even get a congratulations for us being on our honeymoon .
