"Two nights stay -July 4, 2015-paid $941 on Expedia"
I stayed for two nights this weekend/ July 4th. (July 2015). This was an awful experience. Who are Jillian and Chris? We never saw any host or hostess. 3 days and no host? The rooms were empty mostly and Saturday night we were by ourselves in the whole house. There was no one to check us in (welcome) or check us out. The wrong keys were left out for us in the back porch. I had to call some number for some woman to come and give me the right key. We paid $941 for two nights through Expedia and we were horrified by the place and service. Coffee was not available until 8:48 am and breakfast had nothing healthy or fresh. A cook showed up at 8. When the alarm started beeping that "there is smoke detected in kitchen", we were so scared- no owner/manager/ no one came to fix it. Very noisy a/c, bad intersection, the wine and sherry are left out in the open, warm rooms. One housekeeper came to make beds, one cook to make breakfast after 8, no tub in bathroom as shown in pictures. Lesson learned- WILL NEVER TRUST the reviews ever/ photos are misleading. The experience was horrible. Complaining to Expedia.

"First year anniversary"
We spent 3 nights in the Helena room and our stay was fantastic. The Helena room has a 2 person jacuzzi and a rain shower!!! There are even fresh cookies and a bottle of Sherry on one of the nightstands. Breakfast is server 830 - 9 and is amazing. The selection of food was excellent and it was probably the best breakfast I have ever had at a B&B.

"Loved it!`"
Gillian was a wonderful host, and the Inn did not disappoint! The Calistoga area is so adorable and laid back in contrast to Napa. We only wish we had more time!

"Great little inn"
This was a lovely historic property near all the amenities of downtown Calistoga. Wonderful spaces to relax both indoors (a main living room area open to all) and outdoors on various patios. We appreciated that breakfast was served family style, so you could choose what (and more importantly how much) you eat. Only comfort-related issue we had is that the floorboards of the Howell Room were a bit squeaky - we viewed it as part of the the charm of an older property, but if you're noise-sensitive you might consider aiming for an upstairs room. Loved the flexibility of the innkeepers - we were grateful when we were able to book this stay a few hours before arrival, and they were very accommodating in leaving us instructions on how to access our room after hours (I am glad we called after making the online reservation.) Definitely recommend this as a base for the hiking, biking, and sightseeing options on the northern edge of the Napa Valley.

I'm not the biggest fan of B&Bs but this one is cozy and offers more privacy than most. The owners are gracious, thoughtful hosts. The only issue with the room was a noisy air conditioner unit.

"Great B & B"
We enjoyed the B and B, the owners were very nice, the place was very quaint. Upon arrival there were cookies in the room with Sherry and in the sitting room there were two wines, chocolates and more. Breakfast was awesome, that woman can cook! Interesting talking to the other guests.

"Above and beyond"

The Craftsman Inn goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. They have complementary homemade cookies, brandy and wine served daily. Decadent soaps and toiletries. Cotton robes. Comfortable bed and soft linens. And the breakfast was superb - frittata, sausage, homemade muffins & scones, mimosas, and strong coffee. Another reviewer wrote that dining was awkward - I don't know what they were expecting. The whole charm of a B&B is that you get to gather for breakfast with other guests. The Craftsman has plenty of space to mingle or have a private space to enjoy a book. This place is a perfect balance of luxury and feeling right at home.

A lot of character in this craftsman. Layout is a bit tight though. Liked the wine & chocolate provided and cookies the first night. Had some down time after dinner in town, but didn't want to sit on the couch in my room to watch some tv and wind down; the tv is mounted on the same wall as the headboard. Nice size room though. Pretty basic. Bathroom was fine & toiletries were good quality. Good water pressure & plenty of hot water etc. Clean. Breakfast was very good, not heavy, but felt a bit awkward. Nice talking with host/chef.

"Comfortable B&B in Calistoga"

Had two nights in Calistoga over the Thanksgiving weekend. The Craftsman was a convenient and accessible inn. An easy walk put us at the shops and restaurants along Lincoln. The staff made us feel welcome and the breakfast service was satisfying and interesting.

"Wonderful hospitality, AMAZING breakfast"
11/07/15 Stacy_247 Cleveland, Ohio
I probably can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay here! The hospitality was just wonderful and the hosts were very accommodating of my sister's nut allergy. The property is very charming and the room was comfortable. There were nice little touches all around, like oatmeal cookies in the crock, sherry, cozy bathrobes, and L'Occitane toiletries. Upstairs there is a fridge stocked with bottled water, and in the dining room there is a carafe with hot water so you can have hot tea, coffee, chocolate, or cider any time. There is also complimentary wine for the afternoon! Now, about the BREAKFAST! Coffee starts brewing at 7 am, breakfast is served at 8:30 am and you won't want to be late. We had a few different cooks, who were all excellent. The owner, Gillian, even has her own cookbook. For the weekend, we had the privilege of having an experienced CIA student do the cooking. He was awesome and didn't mind having an audience, or sharing great tips about the area. Some of the breakfast items you can look forward to when you stay here are as follows: poached eggs, scrambled eggs, frittata, chicken apple sausage, bacon, banana bread, chocolate apricot scones, coconut raspberry muffins, homemade granola, dutch apple pancake, homemade yogurt, fresh fruit, fresh orange juice, and Mumm champagne! Every morning I woke up and looked forward to the deliciousness that ensued. I could not have been happier with my stay here and the breakfast really was the most outstanding part of it!

"B&B vs. Hotels"

A second really enjoyable B&B experience in a few days and so much more fun that staying in a hotel. Room was very comfortable, bathroom great and the breakfast around one big table chatting to the varied travellers staying was a real pleasure. We will be back for more when we are in the Napa Valley.

"Cozy and Friendly B & B"
10/20/15 MPGG4 Coppell, Texas
We were met by delightful Amy who gave us a little tour of the Wine Way Inn and the Craftsman. There were 10 couples who spread out between the 2 B&Bs. So, we were delighted to experience some time at both. The accommodations were perfect. We really enjoyed visiting with each other in the living room with wine, sherry and goodies. The sherry and cookies in the room were also a wonderful touch. Breakfast was divine and plentiful. We could not have asked for anything more! Thanks!

"Perfect start to our honeymoon!"
09/28/15 SarahGLove Chicago, Illinois
If you are looking for a place to stay in Calistoga, this should be the pick. If amazingly cute bed and breakfast decor, extremely comfortable beds, spacious rooms, gracious hosts, and some of the best breakfast you will ever have sounds like a winner to you then the Craftsman Inn is the way to go. Plus where else has their own mini vineyard in front of their inn!? We came here for the beginning of our honeymoon and had a nice congratulation welcome in our room, and this location made it so easy for us to be able to explore all that Calistoga has to offer. Walking distance to the main downtown and restaurants and there are even two wineries right up the street from this inn making it so easy to try what Calistoga and Napa are known for--wine. Speaking of wine, this inn also has wine for their guests, sherry and tasty cookies in their rooms, there is champagne at their breakfast which is already incredible enough on its own you *almost* don't need champagne, but who can say no to that? And the breakfast you will get here is featured in their own cookbook and I can personally vouch for their wine poached pairs and their various breakfast casseroles and scones and everything is just so addicting and wonderful and tasty, that you will want to move into this inn since the food is just that good and because this place will remind you why vacation is so important for life :-) Our room was also simply perfect to start our honeymoon as well. There was a large jet tub our own balcony and there is also other outdoor common patio space in case you pick up wine during your tastings and want somewhere relaxing to contemplate why you don't vacation more often. The hosts here you can tell put their heart and soul into running this inn and they will go out of their way to make sure you not only love staying there but love Calistoga as well.

Our fourth visit to the Craftsman and better than ever. This is a great B&B with every need catered for. Great room, comfy bed, lovely bathroom and breakfast to set you up for the day. Nick and Gill are great hosts. Check out Katie's breakfast - it's the best.
