Staff was friendly! Not big hotel. But room was not small.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great for the money"
Loved the 19th floor terrace. Breakfast was better than average, with a large selection and constant service on the floor keeping everything fresh and well stocked. The front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful, regardless of who was there and the time of day. Very accommodating.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to subway"
Great hospitality, even gave out free bottles of water which was much appreciated during hot summer days. Breakfast buffet was good, and even though it's past breakfast time, the room is always open so we could get water/hot chocolate/juice, etc. We even brought food and ate over there. The hotel room was clean and tidy (though a bit small - I figure […] it's because this is New York), but pillows were too soft which hurt my neck. They have a terrace/patio area on the 19th floor. It's only a very small area but it's still a nice escape because we could see the lights at night. Some guests had their breakfast or dinner in the patio too. Parking was a problem because the hotel doesn't have a parking lot, but we used subway and buses, so that's not a problem to us. The hotel is located close to subway and bus stations which made it very convenient. It's also fairly close to Chinatown and Little Italy (within walking distance). All in all we had a positive expereince with this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"I was pleasently surprised..."
The hotel was a great deal--considering prices in NYC--and I was a bit worried it would be a "You Get What You Pay For" situation. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the place. The room was very nice and clean, the complimentary Breakfast, WiFi, etc. very convenient, and the service was great. The only negative was the very loud air conditioner […] (not sure it was supposed to be like that). Overall, a good deal for a good place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed for a quick day trip with the kids. Service and room exceeded my expectations. The complimentary breakfast was great! I had one issue with getting my shower warm, but overall a great stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A hotel that is remodeling should not sell out at the same time. Breakfast was a disaster, no bar or sitting area and a reception that feels like a warehouse!Genuine Expedia guest review
"It was ok"
Nothing great about this hotel or the location but it was decent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fun night in Manhattan"
A great stay and location for night life and sight seeing in Manhattan.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
When we entered the room, there was a dirty towel on the desk waiting for us. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the corners. The filling of the bed duvet was not evenly spread and it looked liked it was filled with tennis balls. The hotel staff gave us conflicting information about the breakfast room that was under construction, cramped with […] people and gloomy. Definitely not going back! "Great hotel. Great location."
I love this hotel. the staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great. Nice rooms. Free wifi.Genuine Expedia guest review
"bargain in Manhattan"
We stayed in the hotel for 3 night, very pleasant experience. The hotel is less than 5 min walk to subway stations for E train and 1 train. Staff was very nice and informative. Besides free breakfast and Wi Fi, there was computer and printer in the lobby. It is convenient to print a boarding pass or tour ticket. The room was clean, bed very comfortable. […] If anything we were not happy about was that the room was small, guess that is norm in the city. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel near SOHO"
Hotel staffs were kind and the hotel is located in SOHO just walking distance to most of the shops. I stayed another hotel near Time Square at this trip. It was too noisy to sleep. I think this hotel is a pleasant one for most of the travelers.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
saw a play, shopped & had dinner... all within easy reach!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Hotel in SoHo but No View"
I stayed here for two nights. The room was clean; the bed was comfy. The bedding was crisp but Hampton only two types of pillows-soft and softer. They smelled a bit sweaty from previous users. There are no refrigerators in the rooms. However, the complimentary daily breakfast and gym, and 24-hour free coffee more than makeup for the things that are […] wrong. "Great price for a nice hotel"
I was really pleased with the customer service in the hotel. The arrange a early check in for me and they were very polite in the counter. Free internet and free breakfast was a big plus in NYC. I will stay there again if I have tooGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient and good"
Very convenient location good for an overnight. I was unaware of work being done in the lobby, but overall a good stayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Staff is awesome-very attentive, went above expectations in service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nothing fancy but well located and generous staff!"
The quality of service was great, the location as well. The room was always clean but the AC made too much noise.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Sweet but noisy!"
For an overnight stay, this was an overall good value. The staff was courteous and helpful. The location was very convenient for travel and eating options was great. The only issue was the level of noise from the street when it was time to sleep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Helpful courteous friendly staff. Nice and clean facilities. Good breakfastGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Awesome Service, Noisy AC"
Tough to rate this hotel because ALL of the front desk staff were absolutely fantastic -- friendly, helpful, got us in a room very early, printed out our documents, they were truly great. So it's hard to say anything bad. But...the AC was old and quite noisy. Made it hard to sleep, either too hot with it off, or freezing cold noisiness when it was on. […] Super location in SOHO, walk to great restaurants, coffee shops, Little Italy, Chinatown. Very close to subway. Room was very clean, but a bit small, but that's to be expected for the price. Bed was pretty soft. Despite how superb the staff was, we probably wouldn't stay there again in any warmer months just because of the AC. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location but the first floor (lobby) is quite small and staff could be friendlier.Genuine Expedia guest review
it was one of the best deals when i searched - not luxury accommodations by any means but a quality place that does a few things to help them stand out: very polite and helpful staff, free gourmet cookies upon arrival, etc. - convenient location right by the 1-2-3 and A-C-E lines - would absolutely stay there again if the price is right ...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Closer to tribeca than Soho"
The bed was firm and the staff helpful. I am surprised there wasn't a mini fridge or bottles of water in the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was in a good location near SOHO. Rooms were typically small as is the case in most NYC hotels but rate was excellent. All hotel personnel with exceptionally helpful and friendly. Bar was closed and under construction but will re-open in 2 monthsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Good location, only block away to 1 red subway. Central AC, new decorated room and bath, nice bedding. Room a little small, but understandable. very economy and clean. Breakfast is wonderful as described in the reviews. Checking in time is kinda later than other city, but they have storage for the guest so you can start your visit right away.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Staff was very nice and helpful. breakfast was good and very convenient.Genuine Expedia guest review
very small room for the price it felt like I was in a shoe box area is good but hotel have no bar or launch and you are kind of limited to your shoe boxGenuine Expedia guest review
Overall, great location to get around the lower Manhattan area but a lot of traffic and pollution because of the Holland Tunnel. Very accommodating staff and good service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great for the price and close to restaurants. Rooms were very clean and staff very pleasant. I would come back for a second visit and I recommend highly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good value at reasonable price"
Considering that I could have easily paid double, triple or more for more or less the same thing, I was very pleased with the hotel. My room was quiet, comfortable and even had a decent view of the Brooklyn Bridge. It wasn't deluxe, but I didn't pay for deluxe.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A traffic convenient economic hotel"
Only 2 nights staying, but with nice service from reception desk. Breakfast seems not rich.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very nice staff!!!"
Very friendly staff, clean room that was a nice size.Genuine Expedia guest review
I would have given a 5 star as it is deserving but our shower drain was clogged and black old mold was coming out of the drain and would swivel around the shower as it took almost half an hour for the water to finally drain away. The room although a bit small in size was great! The bathroom apart from the drainage issue it was comfortable and the shower […] was big. The bed and pillows, OMG were perfect!!! We had not slept so well in a very long time. The bed was super comfy and the pillows were soft and sheets smelled clean and crisp. Another great feature was the breakfast buffet. They had waffles, juices, cereals, oatmeal, muffins, pastries and coffee was rich and superb!! Would definitely be staying at this hotel again!!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Location, location, location"
Hotel is close to must-see in the area especially if you like shopping, dining and people-watching. Parking is only 2 blocks down the street at 360 West Broadway and Canal subway station was also a few blocks away. Front desk staff was nice and friendly. "Great location, comfortable stay"
Best thing about this hotel is its location near the shopping and night life of Soho and the West Village. Also, since it is just a few blocks from the Canal Street subway stop, it's easy to catch a train uptown or to Brooklyn. Room was comfortable and quiet, breakfast was not wonderful, but adequate. "Nice and quiet street in SOHO"
Went to SOHO with my wife for a friend's birthday celebration weekend. Liked the rate on this on and I am glad I did select the Hampton Inn Manhattan Soho. It is located on a quiet street in Soho. My friend's hotels also were advertised as Soho but were both located in load and busy Chinatown. Service was good, nice room but on the small side. Hotel […] had no problem giving us an early check in, and next day after check out they stored our luggage while we went sightseeing in Manhattan. "Great hotel and location for lower Manhattan"
Great hotel - pretty spacious relative to Manhattan hotels, and great location if you want to be around SoHo and in walking distance to NYU area (10-20 minute walk), NoHo, Chinatown, LES, Nolita, Freedom Tower....however, you might not want to walk in the summer heat in which case hotel is near Canal street station. The complimentary breakfast was nice […] too. There was a strand of someone else's hair in the shower, but otherwise hotel was clean and well maintained. Free ice and water machine in basement, free coffee and tea in breakfast room. Thank you for a great stay :) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The room smelled horrible, some type of deodorizer they sprayed throughout. Toilets were not working well. Location is on a dirty noisy street. There is no reception area just a counter like a motel. This is more a motel then a hotel but with expensive prices.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Excellent location and value!"
HIMS completely met or exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect for exploring Downtown (SoHo, West Village, etc.). My daughter was moving in to her dorm at NYU for the summer so we were within walking distance to that location, plus some excellent cafes and restaurants on Spring, Prince, and Mulberry streets. We found the hotel staff very […] accommodating, and the hotel condition very pleasing (clean rooms, clean common areas). We drove into the city, and found the availability of parking nearby a plus as well. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great time in NYC"
Everything about are stay went perfect! The staff was very courteous and helpful with questions, directions and making arrangements for a taxi. The hotel was easy to get to from the Holland Tunnel and centrally located in a hip area! Breakfast was a nice perk and offered so many choices... Absolutely will stay here again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Price - nice place to stay"
I booked this last minute, however I found a cheap price and great location. SOHO is one of the nicest locations in NYC. Therefore, anything under 200 is a steal....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The price was okay, but I expected more from a Hampton Inn (recognizing they are budget hotels). Room was ridiculously tiny even for New York. About 3 feet surrounding the king bed -- no place to lay a suitcase flat, and had to use the small desk instead. No closet. The bathroom was also tiny -- used the towel rack and floor for bathroom kit. Old fashioned, […] wall-mounted heating unit that clanked/shrilled – adjacent to the bed. Ugly gash in carpet. We changed rooms after 2 nights to a higher floor. No apparent service elevator and we were often bypassed during busy morning hours because they were occupied with vacuums, linen carts and a loudly chattering cleaning staff. Not sure what the "city view" was that we paid extra for -- a tall new building across the street blocks the view, but definitely do pay for a higher floor because of the honking vehicles from the Holland Tunnel. Very comfortable beds and showers/water pressure were fine. Off a main street, but safety wasn't a concern. Buffet breakfast was the usual American chain hotel fare -- handy, and coffee, apples, bananas were available all day which was nice. Staff said the hotel runs at nearly full occupancy -- lots of stylish Europeans our week -- I guess because of its location and it was less expensive than anything else we found nearby (our daughter lives in TriBeCa) but I'm going to try another place next time. Maybe we'll end up staying here again if the price is right, but certainly with lower expectations. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This was a nice hotel. The rooms were small (like most NYC rooms). It was easy to get in and out of the city and to get around the city without a car from this location. There were also a lot of nice restaurants and shops in walking distance.Genuine Expedia guest review
"parking, traffic, room view problems"
parking too far from hotel, traffic even with cab usage was unreal. Hampton inn website never mentioned no in and out privileges which for the price and size of room should have been extended. Also the website never mentioned that hotel was at entrance to Holland tunnel so traffic congestion never let up. Room view was of a neighboring building rooftop […] very industrial with watertower on it which blocked any view of the city even on the 9th floor. breakfast was nice but limited hrs and no real advantage to area except it was cheaper than most places in manhattan and didn't seem to have bedbugs Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
