They included a breakfast, but is only available from 7-9:30. Room was loud because of the popular/busy street. No fan in room available to drown out loud people outisde.

The hotel is literally down the street from the primary shopping and nightlife center of Ottawa. It is an excellent location. The hotel itself was fine. No problems and the staff was courteous and helpful. The French language was no problem. Most people are bilingual.

Was pleasantly by the cleanliness if the hotel and the location. They are very accommodating, loved that they had laptops that you could use in their lounge and there were snacks throughout the day that you could have all complimentary. Will definitely stay there again. I parked my car in their garage and didn't need it till I left.

This is my second stay in Byward Blue Inn (last time it was in 2010) and it was as comfortable as I expected and looked forward to. - The Byrward Inn is a 5 min walk to most locations including the US Embassy, many restaurants, bus stop, malls etc. The building itself is located in a residential area so there isn't any traffic noise. - Rooms are very […] clean and daily cleaned by maid service - High speed wireless throughout the Inn (with speeds averaging 21Mbps). There is even a complementary laptop available on request. - Breakfast (for me one of the most important criteria): There's breakfast which ranges from wheat/white/cinnamon bread, croissant, eggs, potatoes, to 3 varieties of cereals along with the usual varieties of Tea and coffee, Juice and flavored Yogurt. - The hotel managers (personal experience with 3 of them) are very friendly and extremely responsive to any and all requests made of them (and I made my fair share of demands). Their motto seems to be "we aim to please". - Room amenities include a reading table, 1-3 chairs, TV + remote, microwave, mini fridge, bed lamps, some cutlery, dishes / bowls, etc. Iron board and pressing iron available on request. - They also offer afternoon Tea with some cookies/fresh fruits/etc. - Adjustable room heating is available so you can set your own heating preference. This hotel was in a great location in downtown Ottawa. It was within walking distance to museums, Parliament, shopping (including the Byward Marketplace), restaurants, etc. The staff was helpful with directions, etc. The only downside was if you needed to use your car now and then, it was a little costly to park. There were many choices of parking areas […] nearby, but one had to be careful to move the car before the meter or time was done. Looking at the website, I felt that this was an Inn like a B&B. It is more like a 2-star hotel constructed from a condominium. So the hotel/inn is characterless, but the staff are helpful and the location is great.

Byward Blue Inn has been our hotel of choice in Ottawa. Its location at the Byward Market is central to all of Ottawa's top attractions. Hotel is clean, friendly and easy on the budget. We'll be coming back the next time we're in Ottawa.

Liked the convenience of being able to walk to Byward Market and its restaurants. Very cose to Parliament Hill and the Gallery of Art. Next door parking garage was also very conveneient. Heard very little noise from our neighbors or the neighborhood.

We booked 3 rooms while visiting in town for a wedding. 2 were on the 6th floor and 1 was on the 4th. They all had balconies but the views from the 6 floor were spectacular while the 4th floor wasn't much to write home about. The fresh air was nice, tho. The continental breakfast was excellent although the coffee was not so good. Good thing there were coffee shops nearby! The location of the hotel was great and we were walking distance from the wedding reception. During the day we could walk to any number of restaurants, coffee shops, the Parliament and the Byward Market. It was very convenient and on a cute tree lined street. The neighborhood became quite the meat market that saturday night with a large hooch factor. Not my thing but the hotel was quiet so it wasn't a big deal. It was well worth the price. Hotel had a very bright and cheerful atmosphere when we walked in...very clean, cute local art work... Staff was very friendly and helpful... I was pleasantly surprised to see that the rooms were quite spacious with tall ceilings and it was very clean...I appreciated the additional amenities which were included in the rooms, (i.e. a fridge)... The "Continental […] Breakfast" that was included in the room rate actually included eggs (for soft or hard boiling only), which was a step above most continental breakfasts offered out there! Overall it was a very nice experience with a very good value, so I would recommend this B&B to anyone staying in Ottawa - especially those who are touring the downtown area (location was GREAT - right in the heart of the Byward Market and only about a 10 min walk from the Parliament Building). Covered parking next door if you don't want to park on the street and centrally located with everything in walking distance. Very conveniently located next to the market. It's a small hotel in between some apartments in a quiet end of the street. Parking garage is very small and tight, but at least it's reasonable price and you get in and out privileges. Breakfast was weak (bagels, muffins, etc) but at least the dining room area was nice. Great proximity to Byward Market, nightlife and restaurants. Didn't have to drive all weekend. Enjoyed the balcony for early morning coffee and late night glass of wine.
