out of value="10""Great Rental!"
Reviewed by Christy of Cook on Jul 8, 2009
I stayed in the three-bedroom apartment in this rental with a group of five other people for one week. The apartment was exceptionally clean with very modern amenities. The woman who checked us in was incredibly nice and very helpful. Keep in mind, this is an apartment rental though, not a hotel, and there isn't always going to be someone on staff, but this was never a problem during my stay. I felt very safe in the building, and the neighborhood (largely Dominican, I believe) was very friendly as well. There are two subway stops within a five-minute walk and several small grocery stores and eateries close-by. Also a plus, this rental is only a few minutes off the George Washington Bridge, so it's pretty easy to get on and off the island. Overall, I had a great experience. This is by far one of the most comfortable and affordable places to stay on the island!!! I would highly recommend this rental to anyone who doesn't mind staying a little bit off the beaten path.

The apartment was beautiful. Newly remolded, gorgeous furnishings. It was located within two miles of our daughters apartment in Hudson Heights, so the location was convienent for us. The area was Washington Heights and seemed a little rough. Largely Hispanic neighborhood.

The area was little scary at first. After we talked to the people in charge we felt a lot better. The apt was great clean and spacious, the bed linens were great. The subway was only 3 blocks and there was grocery stores and reataurants in walking distance. As we walked the people on the streets were very nice to us. If we asked a question they were very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommed this apt to anyone that does not mind walking. The subway was the highlight of our trip. We will probably stay there next year.

out of value="10""Good space for the money"

This was an apartment, not a hotel. Lots of space, well appointed. Liked the privacy of an apartment. Neighborhood appeared rough, was nicer than it's initial appearance. Good bus and subway access, farther from the college than we expected, but had never been to New York before. Decent security, neighborhood could have been quieter. Friendly, helpful owners, would help to have subway and bus information available to guests and directions for areas of interest.
