This facility impressed us as a jewel. On check in the manager, Val, was on the desk. She was most helpful. The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful, waffles, bisquits and gravy, pastry, bagels, cereals, etc. We travel a lot and would rank this as one of our best stops. When I arrived, they told me I requested a SMOKING ROOM! I did not request one and I showed them the receipt I printed off from the computer when I made the reservations and it clearly says ***NON-SMOKING***. The attendant said it camed across the computer as SMOKING and there was nothing they could do because they were all booked up. Since I already […] paid for the rooms, I had to take it. "Overall clean & affordable & convenient"
I am from the Norfolk area, and come back occasionally. I stayed here this time b/c of my great experience last time. I choose this one because of the excellent price and location. However, this time I was disappointed in that when I entered my room, I got hit with "that dirty smell". However, the room appeared neat and clean. I was able to overcome […] that by opening a window and left it open through the night and that seemed to air it out a bit. The bed was very comfortable, as usual. I will give this motel another shot soon as I will be returning and I hope that I don't smell that smell again. Morning breakfast was also impressive for a motel this size. It would be nice if you would add deadbolts to the key card locks. Shower was clean and the faucet and water spicket were spotless.
