First when I got to the desk the girl behind the counter continued talking on her cell phone for about another 15 minutes with me standing there glaring at her. Second when she finally gave me my room key I went upstairs in an elevator that smelled something like old cat urine and vomit, when I actually got to the room, the door wouldnt shut at all, […] so no use for that key, the room hadnt been cleaned and there was mold everywhere in the bathroom. I went back downstairs to confront the front desk about this, her only response was to move to to another room, so fine I took it, well when I arrived at room number 2 half of the freaking lights in the room where broken and aparently no one there to fix them, I gave up at this point and called it a wash and left. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. Read more

As I walked into the "non-smoking" room, we were taken aback by the stench! It smelled like moldy ash tray!! The signage was poor and not well-lit...very hard to fiind! I will never stay there again!

This hotel is not worth the rate. The towels are yellowed with age and there are no services available. The free internet is equal to dial up and you have to purchase in order to have decent service levels. Walls are thin and if the person next door snores, you will not sleep well.

It's a bare bones operation. The room was clean,but well travelled.There was a smoke smell throughout the hotel,so the non-smoking rules must never be enforced. No pool-no continental breakfast. What you see is what you get.

The hotel offered a convenient location with kitchen and internet service at a reasonable price. The 24-hour laundry was an added plus. I might suggest a change machine in the laundry room so the front desk isn't always making change for guests using the washers and dryers.

We didn't spend a ton of time in the hotel and the room itself as we were only there for one night, but the overall experience was fine. The kitchenette was clean, however some of the cups were a bit sticky. The bathroom and the room were clean. The disappointing part of the room was the bed. Worst experience, fridge was not working, Room cooling was not greatest, phone did"nt work in the room, need to change to a different room at 9:30 in the night. With 2 yr old son this was a horrible experience to move into a different room when he was already asleep. Staff did"nt even check whether the room is in condition before alloting to us.

Hotel was a good buy, close to great shopping, are very safe, staff pleasant, parking ample. The rooms are such that noise from above and next door come through, as does cigarette smoke through the bathroom vent. Air was extremely dry. Like the great space in the rooms.

We enjoyed our stay and the ease of check in was great! Not bad for a few nights....it just gets too pricey for more than a few nights. Especially considering that the customer is providing their own food, etc. We were in between places (moving) and just could not afford more than a week.

I was the only one checking in.. It took me over 30 minutes to check in. I was having a very hard time understanding the host. I got to my room and it was a nonsmoking room but stunk high heck of smoke and mildew. I tried getting on my wireless connection and it did not work. I went to the front desk and there was a couple from Iowa that was trying […] to check in. The host could not find their registration and the guest had to keep asking the host what as though she was having a hard time understanding the host as well. I waited for about 30 more minutes to get the correct pass code to get on my wireless connection. After over an hour, I finally got settled in to the smelly room. When I woke up the next morning, all my luggage and items I have brought with stunk of smoke. I had a massive headache and could not wait to shower and get out of there. I am staying in a hotel for two weeks until my house is available for me to move into. I am glad I booked one night to start with to see if I could find it to suit my comfort standards. I am glad I went that route. I have found a room down town minneapolis for a couple bucks more a night and could not be more happier! If you are a smoker and are bilingual, this would be the hotel for you! Read more

I stayed in the Days Inn Plymouth West, I WILL NOT STAY THERE AGAIN, infact I find it very odd that Days inn has a higher star rating. Days Inn Pros: Great location, one block away from great resturants and bars, easy access to downtown minneapolis. Days Inn CONS: This is obviously where alot of really ghetto people live. There were partys in every […] other room. At any given time there were about 5 to 15 people smoking at the front door. My room was SO OUTDATED!! Worst was the smell, it hits you as soon as you enter the lobby. Smoke and Mildew. Which only got worse when I got into the room. Extended Stay: Ill start this by saying I stayed in 3 different rooms during the course of one week all on the first floor. I would also recomend to anyone thinking about staying at Days Inn to stay at extended stay instead. Though I had some minor problems, i.e. noisey party next door and the hotel moved me right away, and kids in the room above me wrestling with eachother, and moved again. One room smelt like a somalie family lived in there and the spices that they use for cooking stayed in the room after they left. Another room was VERY CLEAN just had a party going on next door. The last room also clean, however bathroom smelt like smoke, it wasnt bad but obvious. Its a good value and I would stay there again, so long as I picked out my room first. Hope this helps Read more

Spent Monday - Friday at the hotel. A little smoke smell in the hallways of the 3rd floor, nothing I couldnt handle. Room was clean, nice area, good selection of places to eat and close to the freeway. The only thing I hace to complain about is the bed was harder than I like.

This is the 3rd time I've stayed with this Extended Stay and it will be my LAST! This hotel is VERY VERY unclean! All my experiences were horrible! In all instances, the hotel DID NOT change the bedding prior to my arrival. My first time staying at this hotel, I discovered makeup stains on the pillows. Second and third time, the pillows smelled VERY […] musty like armpits. YUCK! I shared my experience with my brother who recommended I stay with Extended Stay in the first place. My brother have stayed with Extended Stay (in 4 other cities) and although it doesn't bother him, he did say that all Extended Stay are unclean and do not change their bedding prior to your arrival. Extended Stay has a policy that they will only change bedding every 7 days. Any time in between, they will only 'MAKE' the bed with existing bedding. This hotel is VERY unclean! I wouldn't recommend ever staying with Extended Stay. Don't let their 'nice' home studio/kitchen combo fool you. They are very unclean!! And speaking of kitchen, they may offer you dishes, stove, sink, fridge, and microwave but they DON'T offer sponge and dish soap. I don't use the dishes there because I KNOW that whoever used them last, probably only gave it a rinse and not a thorough wash! Read more

we have stayed there before and it was nice, just the heater was either way to hot, or not warm enough. You should put an extra blanket in the hotel room. that would of been nice. I know we could of called and asked for one. also didnt have shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom.

Beds are horrible.....Room was not clean and left at 0300 am because I had to call the police on the neighbors next door who were loudly fighting.....this could be heard as well as the snoring from the other rooms thru the paper thin walls.

The overall accommodations were not too bad, considering the price point, however allergy sufferers beware! I got a "non somking" room, however they do have smoking allowed rooms and the ventilation in that hotel must be terrible as I smelled cigarette smoke during my whole stay and my nose was all stuffed up from it
