The courtyard is on the side of the main casino and a more motel-like building. It is only a hundred or so feet away, and very easy to walk over to the casino. It wasn't anything fancy but it was nice for the price. If you are planning on spending time in the room, the freeway is right next to it, but who spends time in their room in Reno? Also the RTC transit is across the street and offers cheap simple access to all over Reno.

This place was run down and had old wall paper on the walls. It reminded me a "Jolly Wee Hawkins" style place with a touch of grandma. The furniture was worn. The beds were uncomfortable. The pillows were worse. The water would not drain in the tub. The toilet had the metal flush pull, and was not the type of toilet one finds in a hotel. We were not impressed. We will not recommend this place to anyone.

The lady was polite but she just can't give any reason why the confirmed booking is not available. Upon questioning further, she told us the room is actually available, but is not clean yet. It's 8pm and the room is not clean yet. We insisted on double room and the lady told us it takes 2 hrs to clean the room due to break. however, its a smoking room. After all the waiting and questioning, we got into the room in ~1.5 hr.

My stay involved a convention that took place in the main towers of the hotel, but I stayed in the courtyard section. The main hotel is in great shape and was apparently very nicely remodeled in recent years. The courtyard was clean and fairly comfortable, but is about 10 years past due to be remodeled. If you sleep in the courtyard section, you can still use the new pool and other facilities in the main hotel. Considering the rate differences, the courtyard section was a reasonable value.

This hotel was definitely the "ugly stepsister" of it's neighbor. It looked like minimum improvements had been made. That being said, for the money it was reasonably clean and the beds were comfortable. I did not like the walk across the dark parking lot to the casino and back. Would not recommend to single women. Fine if you just want a reasonably priced place to sleep and shower.

Because the Courtyard is associated with John Ascuagas Nugget, I thought I was going to get a good room at a nice price with great service. I got exactly the opposite. The Hotel is run down, but has old style decor and charm. The elevators are extremely slow and only one elevator works per button (meaning you have to press the button next to it for that particular elevator to come). The room as average at best. Bed was your regular $20 box spring. The bathroom was below standard and the hot water ran out quick. The only nice thing was the room(s) have a balcony overlooking Victorian Square which would be great during Hot August Nights. Unfortunately I was there during a blizzard.

When I went back to the counter and stood in line, again, I told her I requested a non-smoking room, she said nothing and then tossed me the keys for the crummier room. Hotel was dingy, it smelt, elevators were dirty and beatup. For a few dollars more, I could have stayed in a casino hotel on the strip. I do not recommend this place to anybody.
