We started our Croatian adventure at the Hotel Bozica and from the moment we were collected from the airport and transferred to our speed boat it did not disappoint. We stayed five nights as a couple and had a superior sea view room with lovely views on the first floor. We dined in the restaurant four out of the five evenings and the food was delicious. The beef fillets were huge and just melted in your mouth and the monkfish wrapped in pancetta served with noodles in white wine sauce was deliciously tasty. The food is reasonably priced for what you receive and the portions are very large. The hotel has a small pool which is nice for a refreshing dip and also has its own "beach area platform" with sunbeds and access to the sea. It is a 10 minute stroll to the village and the ferry point, making it really accessible to visit the nearby Lopud, Kolocep and Dubrovnik. We also walked to Šipanska Luka (very hot with no shade!) and the village was also pretty with many restaurants. All the staff at the Hotel Bozica were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. This was our favourite hotel of our trip and our little oasis of calm at the start of our holiday.

We recently spent 4 nights here, and it was a beautiful spot to chillax! Our room was on the first floor with views overlooking the pool and bay. We ate at the restaurant which was excellent value, but also headed to the north if the island where there are a few more restaurants. Highly recommended after a few days in the hustle and bustle of Dubrovnik!
"Wonderful and tranquil escape..."
I stayed here for a week with a friend (a last minute booking), and we booked the hotel based on the reviews on Tripadvisor. If anything, the hotel exceeded my expectations. From pickup at the airport (and an incredible James Bond-esque speedboat to the island) staff were friendly and welcoming and this continued throughout our stay at the hotel. Maria at reception was very helpful as were all the staff, particularly the waiters and the 'egg lady' at breakfast (I've got an addiction to omelettes now...). If you are looking for a quiet, tranquil escape from it all, then is the hotel and location for you. All rooms were sea view and although we had to change room after a few nights (I think this was due to our late booking) this was no trouble and our things were moved to our new room with no hassle while we were out for the day. Both rooms were exceptionally clean, with comfy beds, air conditioning and a refreshing shower/bath. We booked half board but it was easy to reserve a table for an evening meal at the restaurant. Meals were reasonably priced, very well presented and delicious, and it was lovely to dine al fresco and listen to the sound of the waves below. Breakfast was equally tasty, with a choice of cooked breakfast, continental, pastries, fresh bread, pancakes, fruit etc (or all of the above if you were greedy like me). I am normally quite picky about hotels but I really could not fault Hotel Bozica. Due to its small size you never felt overcrowded (even though some people reserved sunbeds with their towels, but I suppose that's part and parcel of summer holidays even though it's a pet peeve of mine...) The infinity pool was lovely and often we had it to ourselves. We felt like we were on our own private island when sunbathing by or swimming in the sea, as the hotel is literally overlooking the water. The other guests we met and spoke to at the hotel were also very impressed and many said they would come again. We met couples, families, groups of friends and all of them were lovely. Most stayed for 3-4 nights as part of a longer holiday but said this was the best accommodation out of all the places they had stayed. There was a fantastic guitar duo playing on our first night but no entertainment on other nights, but this wasn't really an issue. It was nice just to sit and chat (and drink!) I think we were lucky to get this as a last minute booking, but I would definitely come again.

An absolutely stunning country and a trip made perfect by Hotel Bozica. We looked at lots of hotels on the mainland until we found this little hideaway and it looked a little too good to be true. We can now confirm it is true. The facilities are incredible - don't get me wrong, it's not the Radisson or the Hilton - personally I think it's better. It's an intimate hotel where the staff team would do anything to make your stay comfortable. Arrival by speedboat (although a little extra) is definitely recommended and a perfect way to arrive. The room, although basic and comfortable, is taken to a whole new level with a sea view that you'd find difficult to believe. The restaurant is perfectly priced and the food is sublime. I wish i'd stayed longer to sample everything on the menu and persuading ourselves to leave to eat elsewhere was a massive task. The fish is so fresh that I think it leapt straight from the crystal clear sea (just a stones throw away) straight onto the plate. Beautiful! Breakfast is great and a perfect way to fill up before a walk up the surrounding hills. The hotel has a lovely pool (almost an infinity pool except for the safety railings), although we used it rarely, preferring the sun deck next to the ocean, just down some steps. The sea is incredible - warm, clear as a bell and perfect for swimming (or snorkelling if you have one! The fish are in abundance!). A really comfortable place to lounge and read and allow the incredibly hard working waiters to run up and down the stairs to bring your drinks (we tipped generously!). The island itself is stunning - the dock close to the island is tiny and picture postcard perfect. An active fishing village, you do sometimes feel like you're getting in the way of the locals fishing, but the few bars and restaurant in town are frequented by the tiny population so you know you're getting the best food. just a shot walk from the hotel and we stumbled across several tiny beaches (pebbles so we recommend diving shoes/flip-flops!) which served as our own private beach to sunbathe, snorkel and down a beer or two (and of course more snorkelling!). Back to the hotel for some live music for a cocktail with one of the guests by the pool whilst the kids are free to explore and swim until bed time. The island is also a tin bus journey to the slightly busier (but not much bigger!) Sipanska with a greater choice of restaurants and a quick look at the scenery, or a little over an hours ferry journey (very regular and easy!) to Dubrovnik old town. This is a MUST - simply stunning! Make sure you take the cable car to the top! All in all, a perfect trip and the hotel made it. We will definitely be going back. If you're looking to relax in a quiet and serene environment then this is the place! Perfect...
"Exceeded all expectations"

Had picked this hotel as a little break to finish off our adventure in Europe and also because the price was certainly reasonable in comparison to the prices for a hotel in Dubrovnik itself. The hotel was in a beautiful location, on the sea front so you could swim or snorkel, but the hotel also has a pool on the first level. The food was wonderful and of great value, the breakfast was simply wonderful, with someone on hand to cook you eggs however you like (scrambled eggs for 2 were lovely!). The room was spacious, modern and clean (go for a sea view, it's worth it), but on the upper floors the wifi isn't great, but I quite liked that in many ways. It is a place for couples to take time out and relax in comfort, but they do welcome children if you want to bring them along. Staff are really helpful and courteous. The trip to the hotel is a little on the expensive side as they charge per person, not per booking but it does help on the way out for ease and peace of mind. The ferry (takes an hour to get to dubrovnik) from the island is less than £5 one way for 2 and a taxi worked out at about £25ish (250kuna) from the docks to the airport. Looking forward to going back again another time and already recommended to others.
We stayed at the hotel bozica for 4 days in August 2014. The hotel is clean and modern. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is situated on the sea side and includes a pool, both of which proved to be the most relaxing aspect of our stay. The hotel restaurant is also exceptional providing good food at reasonable prices (~150 Kuna). The hotel is located on the island of Šipan, a quiet sleepy island in the bay surrounding Dubrovnik. The hotel provides a speed boat service that transports guests between the hotel and the airport. This option is slightly pricey (~350 Kuna). Be aware that this option is priced per person, not per group. Something that caught us out. I would recommend this hotel to others.

We stayed here for a week in August with 6 other couples to celebrate a few of the groups 50th birthdays. We were collected from the airport and taken to a speed boat by the hotel staff. This was a great way to start the holiday! Check in was quick and efficient and the rooms were lovely. Tastefully decorated, clean and we all had a sea view. Some of us had balconies too, which was nice although the windows are large and open fully if you don't have a balcony. The food, the staff, the views are all amazing! We couldn't fault anything. One evening we had arranged with Ivana to have a celebration meal for the birthdays and it was perfect! Champagne and canapés by the swimming pool , a delicious 3 course meal with birthday cake and cheese to follow . Everything we had asked for and great staff who took endless photographs for us and still managed to smile when we asked them to take another ! The hotel is on a very quiet island, so perfect for relaxation. However if you get a bit twitchy on a sun bed (like some of our group did!) there are bikes and kayaks you can hire from reception . You can also go scuba diving with Marco who is an excellent teacher for the beginners! Also there is a regular ferry to Dubrovnik which takes an hour and stops at the other islands. Or you can get a speedboat from the hotel. We did this on several occasions in the evening for a meal as there are not many restaurants close to the hotel. The speedboat to Lopud takes 10 minutes max. Thank you to Ivana and all her wonderful staff for making our stay perfect, Im sure we will all be back at some point !

We stayed at the Bozica for 4 nights and it was fantastic. The hotel itself is spotless and the staff are so helpful. The pool area overlooking the harbour was so relaxing. We ate at the hotel and the food was excellent, both for breakfast and evening meal.
