We only stayed there one night but it was very clean and the staff was very good. The TV didnt work in our original room and as soon as I told the front desk staff he switched us to a different room. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a cheap hotel for the night.

If you're looking for an inexpensive hotel at the last minute, this is exactly what you're looking for. You get what you pay for -- an inexpensive room that's more than adequate and comfortable. My only small complaint was that they don't carry conditioner for my girlfriend.

Hotel was clean and well maintained. The only problem we had is that noise from adjoining rooms kept us awake (television, footsteps overhead.)

Not a bad experience at all. Clean and comfortable. Wish they had irons in the rooms, but we got one at the front desk. No pillow cases on pillows, that's my only complaint. Everything else was great for the price.

The room was great. it looks like Super 8 may have purchased from another hotel. I had a kingsize bed and there was plenty of room for a couch with a recliner. the room was almost to spacious. very clean

This hotel is very inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. The bed was pretty uncomfortable, and we asked for two extra pillows and were given one because they didn't have two extra. Breakfast is a little sad, but included.

Very very friendly front desk on all shifts. No microwave, no table nor chairs (where some had obviously existed). We did have a fridge which froze the heck out of everything even after adjusting. Anyway...we were there during the crazy nor'easter on the 30th of Oct. Were very happy to have a room for a few days at that time.

Seems like this the place that most of the construction workers pick. My room was on the ground floor. At 5am each morning it sounded like cattle were being herded above me on the second floor. I would image that the builder of this hotel saw no need for sound prrofing. So anyway I got up the cattle.

The Super 8 on 9 South in Poughkeepsie, NY was a great value for the weekend. We needed a room for Parents Weekend at SUNY New Paltz and while it was not in New Paltz, it was an easy commute. The motel was clean and in good repair, the service was excellent and the price was right for a place to sleep.

The hotel desk clerks were very friendly and accommodating which I really appreciated. The hall area smelled of cigarettes, but thankfully the non-smoking room that we received did not smell like cigarettes. The fitted sheets were unbelievably scratchy, but clean so we just pulled back the top sheet and slept on it. The place made me nervous. Staff was non-existent....never a person at the desk. The hallway had an awful odor that I can't even describe, but the room itself was clean (and no bad smell). Glad we were only staying one night. Would NOT stay there again.

The owners should understand that cutting costs to the point that the amenities are substandard might result in a short term profit, but in the end will cost them business. The "free" breakfast is a joke. We couldn't even drink the coffee. We ate breakfast out each morning. It was a third-world experience.

safety issue of concern: 1. no handicap bar or support was found in our unit in the tub/shower area. 2 no bath mat slip resistent material was found in our unit to prevent elderly / children from potential falling due to soap /shampoo residue - desk staff provided an extra cloth fabric bath mat to compensate for the slippery surface. quiet location […] was a plus. I recent stayed at the Super 8 for the night for a bachelorette party and I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The rooms were a decent size and very clean. The continental breakfast didn't have much, but for such a cheap rate, it wasn't a necessity. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

We has reserved a room with two queen beds and a refrig. We checked in to the room and two queen beds but no refrig. They did change the room but this time we gor the refrig but full size beds. The wall paper in one of the corners was taped and the bedspread was so thin or ripped that you could see the filling. You could also hear the people walking […] around on the top floor. We were told we couldn't switch from a king sized bed to 2 queen sized beds, even though we had a choice when we booked it. The motel was empty so it wasn't because they didn't have one available. We were told because we got a good rate we couldn't change.

Hotel didn't have enough linens at first and pillow case has a cigarette burn hole but front desk proviided us with whatever they had onhand to make us more than happy. Could not convert bath into shower (making the shower mechanism work) but we'd been to front desk 2 other times for linens and didn't want to keep bothering them. the room had a really odd odor. we opened both windows, though one did not have a screen.at first we thought it was different cleaning suppliles, but the more i thought about it, i think they had treated the room for bugs and we were smelling residual pesticide. other than that, the room was okay. we did not see any bugs.

The hotel was having issues because previous guests had deliberately overflowed a toilet and the bathtub causing wet carpet in that room and the hall. The management was working to dry things out but there was a musty smell caused by that much wet carpet. Our room had bathroom issues: a sink stopper that would not allow you to put water in the basin […] and hold it. And while they were flushing out the room damaged by vandalous guests, water backed up into our tub leaving a disgusting mess. Their staff wasn't too sure of the instruction: clean the bathroom only so they didn't clean the tub. The manager took steps to fix our concerns so you would have to give credit for that. It was a nice enough place at a good price, not far from good eateries and malls. Read more

At first we were not happy with the first room we were shown. It had a strong smell of mustyness. We told the front desk and he was extremely helpful and immediately jumped up and was very willing to find us another room. I like the Super 8- it was clean, staff is very friendly, helpful. Location- excellent for me. Few things could be better: mattresses are way to soft, breakfast- poor choice+ unhealthy: for the same price could be offered brown toast (or bread) instead of only white, less sweets+ one egg or healthy cereal or a little cheese. We booked the hotel for five nights in spite of the bad reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was very clean and the rooms are very spacious and had all the amenities we expected. The towels and bed linen were clean and changed regularly. We would recommend to anyone who does not expect a luxury accommodation.
